Psh, trust me lady...it's your loss. I swear to god, I could listen to Brandon play any roll and enjoy it just cuz his voice is so damn awesome. lol Me and my friend never could get over it when we were playing the ME series. The sound of his voice is so distinct, and he's got this unique lil accent of some sort I can't place but really love the sound of. I truly loved the whole cast, even the second actor for Mordin was surprisingly excellent, but NO ONE ELSE could have voiced Garrus, period.
It's like that Keener stepped into the audition at Bioware, shook hands and people went: FUCK! Did you guys hear that? That voice is awesome. From now on all of our Turians shall speak in that raspy, double-voice you were so thankfully rewarded with, Brandon!
Its nostalgic, Brandon will always be known as Garrus, just like Mark Vanderloo will be known as Shepard, Shatner known as Kirk etc... Its nothing bad against Brandon, its just his iconic role for mass effect fans who will now follow his career because of it :). TOO EVERYONE ELSE Miranda and Garrus are playing in "The Guilt Trip" together :P, release date December 25.
I honestly can't watch this without seeing Garrus chillin' there talking to them... I thought they did something to his voice in the game to make him sound that epic... Guess not.
The weird thing is I just watched this movie last week and I was wondering why the actor was so fascinating to me. Now I know; it was because of Garrus XD
This isn't a movie, it's a show. It isn't ironic either, because this was his only scene in the whole show. Why would he be famous for it? Anyone who watched the show thought he was a douche character and were rooting for Leckie. Or at least I was. Him and Vera were meant to be together. He was writing her tons of letters while he was serving overseas...it was a pretty big focus of the show. Even if this was a movie and he played a huge role...it still wouldn't be ironic either. You need to learn the definition of irony, I see way too many people get it wrong. Not ironic in the least bit.
"Where'd you serve?" "Feros. Virmire. Ilos. The Battle of the Citadel. Omega. The Galactic Core. Palaven. The Citadel...again. Thessia. London." "Okay, you win, dude."

The freelance mercs were lead on Omega, not in the Terminus systems.
@@SoulKiller7Eternal Omega is in the terminus systems
“I should go”
She absolutely would've said yes to him if that was his answer.
I can't help but feel Garrus is doing Brandon's voice, and not the other way around.
Yeah exactly XD
-Where did you serve?
-The Normandy
I love these Mass Effect references.
Who was your commanding officer
Robert: Army huh Charlie? Where'd you serve?
Charlie: I just graduated from Palaven.
"Where did you serve?"
"C-Sec."
Who was your commanding officer
@@ryanlavery9956 Commander Shepard
Oh my god, I thought they did a crap load of voice modulation to make him sound like Garrus, but HOLY HELL THAT'S HIS NATURAL VOICE!
It's like when you hear Keith David or Denzel Washington or Michael Wincott. Like, can you imagine these guys ordering pizza???
@@johndavidtibbetts7320I like the idea of James Earl Jones ordering pizza. “Dude, Darth Vader wants a large pepperoni!”
There is slight vocal modulation for his voice as well as all Turian’s
Michael Wincott especially, it's like God made him specifically for voice acting lol@@johndavidtibbetts7320
And here I thought that Garrus' voice had been modified... Nope...
I think by a bit of a slightly modified
Vix-tan just a little as all turians have that slight (idk what to call it) in their voice

She should choose Garrus
But she still has racist feelings against turians ever since the First Contact War.

Hovis Steve Maybe she was widowed by her first husband because of those vile, evil turians blasting him away in deep space. Who knows? :D
Two words: DAT VOICE...
Its so weird hearing his voice... I keep expecting to see a Turian standing there lol. Fantastic voice.
That's some good make-up effects, I couldn't even tell he was a Turian under there!
Her renegade increased 2+
After that he went to do some calibrations
"Do you want to come inside for a cup of coffee or something?"
"Could it wait? I'm in the middle of some calibrations..."
How could she dump the sexiest voice in the galaxy?
Holy shit! All this time i thought they ran his voice through a filter. Damn he has one gravely voice.
Vera doesn't like her men having scars.
or men with sticks up their asses
Charles: You humans are all racist!
[Walks away]
I wouldn't pass a man with his voice for any other.
Wow, dude, amazing every time! and so Garrus every time:)

Jesus, when he goes "is that right, really?" I had to do a double take that it wasn't our favourite busted-up turian behind them

His voice is so surreal, or maybe its because i've only heard it with garrus.
But hearing him speak in real life is so.. like i guess awesome.
i like the way he says disappear and here and really
Brandon has such a unique voice and god damn all I'm seeing is an out of place turian in the 60ies on a lawn.
I get jitters down my spine each time I hear Garrus!
Wow its his natural speaking voice! That's awesome!
Garrus just got side hoed :"(
5 minutes later garrus is doing some calibrations
His voice is chef's kiss.
Dad?
this is so much better when you only listen to this vid and not watch it. Garrus is awesome

Garrus' voice actor was also in LA NOIRE. He was thedetective on the mission, AGAINST ALL ODDS
I'm surprised there was no "sparring" involved in such a confrontation. It's how Garrus relieves tension.
Missed World War II. Made up for it during the Reaper War.
Could have been doing calibrations.
I always thought they put an effect on Garrus' voice. But fuck no, it's just naturally badass.
Can it wait? I'm working on some calibrations.
The irony of it that the game character he voiced made him more famous than a movie :D

Oh, it's so cute when Turians try to act as humans.
AHH!!! I can't listen to him without Turian voice distortion!
omg all turians sounded like robots almost synthesized voices but garrus is the real deal
Im just waiting for Garrus to use that "Nice try. She is not intrested" comment when Kaidan flirts with Shepard in ME3. :3
'Too bad you missed the whole show.'
'Yeah, well, I was in the middle of some calibrations...'
Man, it's not just the voice. Both his body language and tone is Garrus Vakarian through and through
ohh man garrus...... best voice in mass effect... magic voice :D
...can't... unsee... the garrus...
@HowlingWolf518 I totally agree. It sounds like he is trying to sound a certain way, keeping the epic amazingness out of his voice :P
Her-"actually i dont have any plans for tomorrow night"
Him-"Its fine i have to do some calibration anyway"
oh man, i'll never be able to take that scene seriously again. poor garrus :(
ahahaha there's even a DAMN RIGHT!!

The next day, Robert Leckie is shot dead by an unknown gunman hidden somewhere in a building.
"Betrayal repaid."

"Commander Shepard."
Omigosh it's Garrus! Love his voice...
Awesome...simply awesome.
That is fuckin' surreal to hear his epic voice coming from a puny human.
I will look forward to it!
He really don´t need any voice morph :D
But Garrus isn't a lieutenant. He is an officer. :C

After mass effect you cannot imagine garrus in anything else it seems so strane
RL: Hey, Robert L....
Keener: Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations.
day 102 - the humans still think i am one of them - i will calibrate the timeline and go back
GARRUS! What are you doing here!
Garrus just came back from the middle of some calibrations...
God dammit Garrus, stop being a human and upgrade my fucking Normandy!
In his grief, Garrus would go back to the Normandy work on some calibrations.
As the guy was walking away, Leckie should have yelled: "ONE LESS TO WORRY ABOUT!"
Well...seems like Brandon is a turian through and through!
