Props for making this video, getting into racing a fast car for the first time and learning the drag racing game has been very eye opening for me too, like you said... every time you make a pass you experience something new and learn quickly how to handle it after you f*** up and learn from it. Slick tracks, sticky tracks, narrow groves, spinning hard, learning how to drive on slicks, slipping the clutch just the right amount, shifting at 800RPM past the red line on the dash, cutting a good light, staging and having enough time to build boost on a quick tree... it's crazy how much happens in 6-11 seconds :P
It's been very entertaining watching both of you guys learn about the sport!

The fastest slip time I've ever had was a 13.24 quarter @ 99.32 in a full steel/glass '84 Chevy 1/2 ton long-box. A cheap sauced over 400ci with a junkyard TH400, 150 shot of nitrous and a welded diff it hurt alot of feelings 12 years ago... One of the best feelings I can remember. Don't let anyone take away your hard work and pride, you've gone alot faster than most of your haters could afford to ever run. If you love what your doing and it's not hurting anyone, have at it! I love the ongoing work on Leroy! Keep up the great content!!

You know garret, you taking about the trial and error thing, being competitive it's extremely hard. Me being a newer racer in a car that's always had a blown motor, having to switch to a mild naturally aspraited motor, its weekend after weekend error after error. I've had successes but you're 110% right. It's a learning expierence. I fully support you and I think what you have going with Leroy is the coolest thing on my UA-cam feed and in my opinion, racing. Thank you for explaining what it's really like as a racer and not just a go pro of turning on win lights.

As a championship truck owner in the ARCA Truck Series.....Cleetus is absolutely correct that MOST teams have issues almost EVERY weekend. What makes champion in racing is almost always in how many issues you have, the severity of those issues, and how you deal with those issues as a team.

What ever the weight ends up being it should be measured in increments of 1776lbs, here by known as Mericas. 2.1Mericas = 3729.6lbs as an example.
2550 pounds when he first weighed it the drag tires suspension and brakes weight less then factory parts. 1776 independence!!
i have a c5 i stripped to the bone, but not to the soul like this one. its insanely hard to break below 2850, and he's added a cage and turbos. im going to say he's around 2900.

Dear Mr Cleetus McFarland, I have watched this and pretty much every other video you have posted, As i have watched each of your videos with eagerness awaiting each new milestone you achieved, I used to live right down the road from you so watching your videos of you driving the white buffalo seeing the same roads i drove brings a smile to my face. With that said this video is excellent and your statement should not be considered a "rant" but more of an example of what a racer that has class and showmanship. My hat goes off to you sir, for your honesty and your class. This video is an example of why i have so much respect for you and will continue to watch each video you post. To me there is only one Leroy and that my friend is yours. So thanks for posting this and the rest of you videos.. much respect and luv from one garage racer to another (well your much more than that).. I was racing a g35 this afternoon in my 2013 camaro. I beat him by a couple bus lengths. Before I knew it I was doing about 120 and out of nowhere a car pulled out right in front of me. I knew if I hit the car, I would've been dead and so would they. She stopped in the middle of both lanes, in shock I guess, so I tried to get around her. I got pulled into a ditch trying to pass her on the right, cause if I went left I would've been hit head on by another car. I hit a big rut, jumped over a driveway and landed in a yard and skid into a parking lot sideways at about 60 miles an hour. I dodged all the cars and a telephone pole, and slowed down to about 30, but I wound up hitting a tree. I walked away with only a sore neck but if I hit that car or telephone pole, I wouldn't be telling this right now. Always think twice about street racing. Be safe y'all.

Hey Cleetus, I have an 03 Chevy 2500HD with the 6.0L gas. It would go into LIMP mode at highway speeds (80mph). It had oil issues with crank case pressures. Removed the valve and replaced with small air filter. Smells bad but no more issues.
