Volkswagen newest member of its ever growing SUV family is the T-cross. The VW T-Cross is effectively a taller, beefier-looking Polo. It is 54mm longer and 138mm taller. You sit 100mm higher up. Bit more practical than a Polo though, thanks to increased overall length, a sliding rear bench seat and optional folding front passenger seat. VW claims it’s the most spacious and therefore practical car in its class.

I’ve currently shortlisted this as my next car and have scheduled a test drive. I’ve reviewed these to death but your review has been enlightening and I’m grateful for the additional detail. Was worried about coming from a 2 litre GTD Golf to a 1 litre. Love it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Tish, Thanks for the review, been looking at the T Cross. Had a Golf 2 litre diesel 140 for 7 years and it may be a bit of a culture shock. You're right about the reversing camera, or lack of one in the SE. The high driving position is appealing. My wife has an UP with heated seats and loves them like you. Good luck with you're new job and this channel. You have the personality and looks to make it a success. Don't blame you for sacking the car sales job, crap.
Great review, target audience is me, 1 child and not wanting to spend a fortune. SUV mad, sure, but they are nice to own. The grey T-Cross looks great. Keep up the good work!

The 1st time I saw one up close I was informed that an 80yr old lady had just bought the last t-cross style in energetic orange. Here I now sit waiting for my order of a t-cross style in energetic orange. 🇦🇺

You've a really down to earth presenting style...the "demonstration" of the assisted breaking made me gasp like OMG (its something i would unintentially do!). Will you be doing a review of the t-roc too?
Thank you so such for subscribing, I really appreciate it! Hahaha.... that’s not the first time emergency city breaking has kicked in for me 🙈 when I first started driving the new cars at VW it actually came on quite a lot (going forward) and it taught me to be a better driver!
I’m planning a T-Roc V Audi Q2 video with my dad as he wants one but I think he’ll get more for his money with the T-roc! (The T-roc is much better than the T-across in my opinion)

@@jimkiousis σε σχέση με το Bravo 1.4 90hp που είχα: ποιότητα κύλισης ανωτέρου επιπέδου, χώροι τεράστιοι για το μέγεθός του, ήσυχο φοβερή ηχομόνωση, κινητήρας 95 πολύ ροπατος, μέσα στην πόλη με ανηφορικούς γενικά δρόμους Καβάλα και πολλές διαδρομές λόγω παιδιών είμαι στα 8 λίτρα ενώ το Bravo ήταν σταθερά στα 12.τα πλαστικά παρόλο που είναι σκληρά ξεγέλασε στην όψη και είναι φινίρισμένα εξαιρετικά. Έβαλα και διζωνικό και μέσα είναι το κάτι άλλο. Χρώμα urano grey φοβερό... Φρένα καλύτερα από το παλιό. Μακάρι να είναι και το ίδιο αξιόπιστο γιατί 200000 χιλιόμετρα χωρίς προβλήματα...

eddie the great thank you Eddie, getting 41mpg on average but then I was pushing a little harder than possibly you normally would. (Oh the pleasure of paying for fuel fixed rate per mile) 🙊
just bought one, the colors are restricted to a small palette, but it's a really good drive.

The T-Cross is sold in Mexico, but not for sale in the US/Canada.

Hi Tish, this is my first time watching one of your car reviews, and i must say that i was very impressed with your presentation overall.
My question to you, do you think this car would be suitable for my good lady and myself.
My reason for asking is that were pensioners with severe back pain, and can't enter or exit an ordinary low set vehicle.
At the moment ive got a Moka 1.4.turbo elite, and will be changing it at the end of 2019.
So i would be gratefull to you, if you could advise me, as to what you think would be a suitable car to change via my Motability scheme lease contract.

I certainly think this car would be suitable; similar as the Moka it has been designed with people with mobility issues in mind and is much easier to get in and out of that usual hatchbacks. What part of the world do you live in James?

Hello my mum is looking at one of these do you know what spec has the auto fold mirrors :)
Let me see if I can find out for you. I know the T-cross has a similar specification the Polo and the T-Roc to the Golf. It’s quite rare for Polo’s to have folding mirrors.

Hi Brayden, as I suspected here in the UK they are all an optional extra on the T-Cross. Where in the UK are you based? I have a trustworthy connection in Stafford with some in stock with folding mirrors.

Lovely and charming! Very nice and comprehensive review. The new T-Cross is indeed an improvement on the Polo, if one is into SUV's.
If I should critique something, it would be the camera and sound work. Maybe you just need better equipment for professional sound and picture quality. A really cheap but beneficial upgrade would a directional external microfone suitable for outdoor use. They can be fitted with a "dead cat" windscreen noise reduction. I believe the "Røde VideoMic Me-L" or "Røde VideoMic Me" come with a dead cat attachment. I can also recommend getting a gimbal like the "DJI Osmo Mobile 2" for steadier camera work.
Also, you are very professionaI and precise in this video, but I must admit I prefer a more casual laid back review style, like you did on your mini adventure video with Loren. That was fun as well as informative. Slow it down a bit and don't worry if you don't get every technical tidbit in the video.

I will work on getting better sound quality as much as I can BUT I am pretty broke atm so I have to work with what I’ve got. Do have a mini dead cat though so I’ll try that and see if it improves!

@@AutoSocialUK Currently looking at the T-cross and T-roc. I'd probably go with the T-roc.....but I'm waiting to see if they (VW, Skoda, Seat) can fix the issues with the 1.5 engine.

Iain a lot of people do not understand PS so it is just simpler to say BHP, I would like these reviews to be for people that do not know a huge amount about cars. I worked for VW for 18 months so am quite familiar with PS. Thank you, glad you liked it.

I do agree. VW have given the T-Roc and T-Cross plastically interior and it is most people’s gripe with the car. I think they’d have sold shed loads if it was high quality!
