The colour and wheels are beautiful, real head turner. I'm not a huge fan of crossovers but I think VW did a great job here. Interior is lovely, everything makes sense. Only downside is it's a bit on the pricier side, especially when you have to add dual climate, heated seats then when you take the financing into consideration, the Golf starts to be more attractive money wise...
@@thendebele thanks for all these informations. I have got the urban model. Do you think the Diesel version is better. Please, excuse my English, I'm from Martinique😊.
Though it doesn't have neither the DSG nor a manual transmission, but a 6-speed automatic tiptronic transmission, which's slower and it restrains the performance and fuel consumption a little bit.
I test drove a 1.5L Evo DSG last week and experienced this - slow acceleration and revving at too-high a gear when taking-off from standstill (the problem was less so in "S" mode but obviously not ideal that then you would always need to pop it back to "D" when up to speed. Will try a 1.0L 115bhp next to see if the issue I experienced is just confined to the 1.5L model.
Really interested in buying this car! Do you know whether with me, my wife and three high school youngsters and the boot full of luggage the 1.0 115 TSI with manual 6 speed gearbox would be adequate for motorways? Also engine weatherstrip where windshield wipers are, looks too narrow at the sides, are there adequate sink holes there to avoid water ingress in the engine bay?
In Ireland, we get lots of rain but I didn't notice an issue. I think the engine would be ok but fitting suitcases for all the people you mention may be a struggle!
@@NobbyOnCars Thank you very much! Do you think T-Roc with 115 engine is not an option in my case? Read both cars weight and seem equivalent. By the way I am really fond of Irish people, I love Guinness and had an option to work there but relocation was not one then.
Hi, nice review thanks! As I am really considering to buy the t-cross, would you say it would be a better pick over the new Vitara? Considering 140ps engine on Vitara though.
@@NobbyOnCars thanks mate, just watched it :) but how about your personal view on both cars? I like both to be fair, but heard that Vitara's riding and steering is a bit off on the straight road, especially on the motorways, would you say you liked the t-cross handing more? Thanks a lot
Hiss Pwn the Vitara I had was AWD so found it very quick and well able to stick. Build quality will be a bit better in the VW but they have cut corners themselves to make it a cheaper car (cheaper by VW standards anyway). They were both quirky cars but with the booster jet engine and so much grip from a driving point of view the Suzuki was better fun.
Had TCross courtesy car for few days. Almost very good car. Interior a bit plasticky, speakers rubbish and engine made a whiny noise. Just needs a bit more refinement
Babies and young children should face the other way. Their bodies cannot stand the crash forces when facing the front of the car. Greetings from a safety conscious viewer in Sweden. If you do not believe ask the safety experts at Volvo.
Brushed over that plastic interior a bit too quickly for my liking. VW taking the piss with hard plastics in both R-Line T-Cross and T-Roc. Spending that much money for a plastic interior? On their top level trim is a joke. Im sure they are saving soft touch plastics for the Mk2 of each model. I'll gladly stick with Golf. Just a real shame the Mk8 isn't a big leap. It's like the Mk7.5.2 it's so minimal in changes on the exterior.
I think scratching the harshest parts of the plastic is a fairly obvious way of pointing out the flaws, maybe not for you! It is a €22,500 car though and that’s by Irish standards, it’s going to be even cheaper in Europe so perhaps the plastics make a bit more sense then. Irish VRT gives an inflated value to what the manufacturer sees the price at don’t forget. The Golf will always be the best all rounder.
One major issue that everyone seems to miss including VW conveniently, is that the T cross only has 40 litre fuel tank capacity. That's a smaller tank than some smaller cars. Meaning filling up more often and less range of miles. It's a major flaw and vw doesn't even mention it on its brochure.
Bad review cause you are not reviewing the €22.5 k version. The version you reviewed is probably 7k dearer ie 28k. Look at the Suzuki vitara. More reliable and less decption. Still loads of plastic but Suzuki don't lie like vw. Oh yeah.... Engine stop/start is a real pain and can't be disengaged.
Stop start can be disengaged. So the review is bad because it’s not a bog standard car? Fair enough! I’ve reviewed the Vitara but the interior isn’t any better, at all.
@@NobbyOnCars stop start can be switched off each time you start the car but not permanently. For the same price point the Suzuki has far greater content. No contest. Bought the VW and not happy with it so much plastic from a luxury car maker. Typical German smoke screen.
The boot isn't small infact the cargo space is the same as the Tiguan extendable by moving the rear seats to be bigger then any small SUV competition 🤦♀️as one of the main selling features of this cars interior layout, bad information 😂
Nice looking car but I wasn't impressed by build quality of ones I saw at a VW dealer. Ill fitting door seals seem to be an issue, even this one on test. Check drivers door pillar, something odd happening there.
Yes nice looking car from outside. Cheap inside.Really low quality materials for Vw. Some new technology. But price.Wow. A lot of many for tiny Vw SUV if you can call this SUV. Engine wise 1.0tsi and 1.5tsi Evo are not getting a lot of good press lately.
Really beautiful shooting, I saw a rainbow 🌈 as well. Appreciate the cameraman's efforts.
Really useful review on a car I hadn’t thought of b4.
Thanks for watching

i know it's pretty off topic but does anybody know a good site to watch newly released series online?
@Bodie Hayden Flixportal =)
@Darian Cairo thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :) I really appreciate it !
@Bodie Hayden Happy to help :)
I have 2 offers. The first is T cross - Style edition with 23.400 euro and the second os T Roc - Advance edition with 23.400. What do you recommend?
That would be brilliant as an R version
T cross or Taigo???? Which is the best of these two???
great car!
Nice car👌👌👌
Nice car and nice review

Irish car review finally 😁👍
Not a good idea to rely on just the park feature in an auto, park is basically just a small locking pin which can easily snap.
You didn’t mention the cd player in the glove box.
Who uses CDs
Isn't there a 1.5 TSI yet? In Brazil we have a 1.4 TSI with the same 150PS!
Though it doesn't have neither the DSG nor a manual transmission, but a 6-speed automatic tiptronic transmission, which's slower and it restrains the performance and fuel consumption a little bit.
I've heard the DSG has a slow take-up from standstill and it's slow to respond from drive to reverse. Did you notice any of these?
DSG is one of the slickest gearboxes there is, can’t say I’ve experienced that.

@@riad90 there was a problem with the 1.5 but it was manual only. I'll keep a look out for what you're describing.
Interesting. I think nearly all of the reviews on UA-cam are the 1.0L engine, so not much info on the 1.5 out there.
The ciggy lighter socket and the start/stop button imo are the wrong way around.
This is because you drive on the wrong side of the road.

Hi,thinking of buying either a VW T cross 1.6 Diesel or a Ford Ecostort 1.5 diesel, which one would be a better buy ??...
I don’t have experience of the Ford sorry but if it were my money, I’d probably go VW in this case although the new Puma looks interesting!
