- Hey everyone,
The Mito is FINALLY going low(ish). In this video we install or fit a very nice Bilstein B14 (F4-VE3-G450-H1) to the car, making it not only look better but most importantly improve it's performance handling wise with less body roll and a better damping ratio. Hope you'll get inspired and this video is helping you out!
What's next for improving the car? Write it down in the comments!
Cheers

Thanks for making great content about the MiTo QV
As we have discussed on the Instagram DM, I have fitted the same kit to my MiTo a couple of mounts ago. In addition to B14 coilover my MiTo has strut bars, chassis braces, adjustable anti roll bar tie rods, rear antiroll bar, polyurethane bushings as suspension setup. With a -2 degree camber and 0.10 degree toe out at front and Nankang AR-1 Semi slick tires, it handles unbelievable well for a street car. of course, we can not speak out for comfort which does not exists any more for my car :D
another thing that is improved with B14 is top speed stability. Before B14, car was unstable over 180 km/h. It was very sensible for any little bump on the road. Especially you could feel the unstability at the rear. After B14 it really builds up confidence to driver even over 200km/h. Even if car kind of jumps because of a bump on the high way, it really handles landing, car gets stable just in one action.
Great setup, aim for a similar one. Might just copy yours to test it out haha :D
Would love to know what you fitted to adjust camber and toe. Great to see there's people out there racing these Mitos
Excellent advice as an mito owner myself.. my is mint automatic leather trim 1.4 turbo remapped…😎🏴
Schon aufm track gewesen? Bin gespannt ob ich noch Querlenkerabstützungen brauche :)
Grandiose Kameraführung + Kommentierungen, bitte wieder so!
Well done on the video! love the content... keep it coming! Quality suspension you got, only wish i was keeping my mito for longer so I could do this haha
Y sell it tho:(
I’m abit of a Japanese fan boy and the 350Z is really calling out too me… but don’t worry the mito is till getting a lot of love before she goes
@@ryanellis479 haha well, tbh I always wanted a 350 too. Got a Miata because it's cheaper for a start. I think you will not regret it, can't go wrong with a Z :)
Finally, been waiting for that one ! For future videos: Could u give us subtitles for the parts where u speak german?
good thinking, thanks :)
nice car! my boyfriend has the same
Another great video for the QV, I’ve done a lot of the same jobs to mine using them so Danke! 👍🏻
How is the ride with B14’s?
I’ve got H&R lowering springs on the standard adaptive sus but find it’s a pretty harsh ride at lower speeds on local roads. I’m after something softer with same drop but without bringing body roll factor back.
Hey, thanks! It's quite firm, so as expected, the car reacts to every bump in the road. So I assume the B14 won't fix your harsh ride. For me that was kind of what I wanted so I don't mind, but for You maybe there is a better damper kit out there. Novitec and K&W are also making kits for the car. And there is a Set of ST Coilovers with K&W dampers but for mucgh less than the K&W Kit.
Have it corner balanced. Be careful with the weight distribution when adjusting ride height ;)
Cheers
Can't find a shop for corner balancing near me, just standard alignments unfortunately
So the rear upper mounts really don´t have anything that can wear out? I have a slight knocking coming from the rear and I thought that maybe those mounts have been worn out after 120 000 kilometers....
I think you should check on the other bushings in the rear, like spring or wishbone etc
Ah you change the rims now no more Sparco Garra Azeto!?
What did you do with the active damping ?? Mine has that I’ve heard there’s a adaptor to buy and plug in to socket. I have lowering springs and yeah very firm hard ride may put stock springs back on
Mine didn't have adaptive damping, but there is adapter kits
I have a set of kw active suspension cancellers if you’re looking for a set
@@Wipz777 I’m In Australia mate
What u did to active suspesion?
I had no active suspension, so nothing. There is additional switches out there that kill the active suspension system, some shops even offer that directly before you buy them
@@itsaboutcarsyt i thought it was stantard witw QV. Can you send the links?
@@joaopedrofigueira999 I think the active suspension was optional when buying it new. I got the b14 at shop.alfisti.net
@@joaopedrofigueira999 na verdade eu tinha quase 100% certeza que era stock em todos os QVs
Não meti coils no meu na altura por essa mesma razão de perder a suspensão ativa
Riding harder…… I will stay away from them then
Hey @ItsAboutCars! You appear on the new "Auto Addiction" video at 08:05 min! Go check it out! (22-08-2022)
Yeah saw it haha, nice! Took the corner very bad tho lol
