Nice video, I had to change the radiator on my MiTo 3 weeks ago on my own, the only thing left to do is to replace those easy to break bumper brackets :/

I drive a Mito, so I will go a bit biased here Neil, and say do more Mito videos! Great repair! Also, I like the music in this one. P.S. please don't stop filming videos! Maybe it is just a bad period and views are gonna get up again! Also, there are suggestions in other comments to maybe add the estimated and total cost of repairs or something similar to change things around a bit.
Nice video. Maybe you can add a list at the end with the cost of parts and the labour time like they do onthe TV-show wheeler dealers. Would help people with crashed alfa's who are to far off to get to your workshop to do a little cost estimation themselves.
Yes I would like to see new things added to this well proven concept. Some additional info about the parts would be very welcome. How you purchase them, when you use strictly OEM parts and when maybe not. I know this all adds to the amount of work when doing the videos but I think it would be worth the try. And maybe do less videos but with more info if it's too labourous on this rate of publishing.

nice repair Neil. Had to deal with the frozen hosepipe as well and was desperate to wash my car today and get the salt and grit off the underside. Managed to thaw hose by taking it inside and washed the car today (in the rain :))

The 2008 one I stripped was ex-Scotland, & 80% of the bolts were rusted badly & snapped as soon as you looked at them, the bottom bumper bolts were impossible to remove without damaging the bumper.. that one looked nice & easy in comparison!

I am suprised how much afford you put into fixing that car aswell as in italy they are very cheap and not very rare at all, I kinda hate mine for varius reasons, I will list them if anyone is curios maybe some of them are not the cars fault but something is damaged.
Hey Neil,ive bought myself a Mito 2009 1.4tb recently and I need to take the front bumper off to flush my coolant and reconnect rear washer hose to the pump(I can't get in there without taking off the bumper). Problem is I can't get the torx screws holding the bumper from under the wheel well out. It seems that they got grinded out,I tried getting them out with T30 bit but either it kept skipping or it wouldn't budge at all,I even tried with penetrating fluid. Any possible experience with that or advice? Thanks alot.
Hi Neil - Just a heads-up if you didn't know about it - they do a kit to replace the headlight mounts rather than the entire headlight - part number is 51514988. I only found out about it purely by chance! I think it was £34 last I got one (but that was about 4 years ago)

I am the proud owner of an alfa 155 1.8 8v and have been having some problems while the car is idling the rpm don't stay at 1000 and fall below 800 sometimes. When i fully turn the wheel while parking (im guessing my power steering is causing this) the car might switch off if i don't give a tap. Have you ever come across smth like this? P.S i have new spark plugs and spark plug cables installed. Any help would be appreciated
I'm looking for a car for my daughter who has recently passed her test, but unless I'm mistaken aren't damage repair cars harder and more expensive to insure, especially for first timers? Obviously depends on whether it has been reported and logged by the insurer under cat D, N or S for example.

Nice repair… it does my head in how little protection these daft modern flappy plastic “bumpers” give to what’s behind them. Criminal that a car like that is written off by insurance companies…. If they didn’t offer free courtesy cars a lot more crashes would get repaired affordably.

My first Alfa was an 09 MiTo 155 Veloce with the optional Frau leather, I've had two Giuliettas and now a Giulia. Love them!

I confess I'd have just used some jbweld bumper repair epoxy on that intercooler hole. I use it for all sorts.

Same happaned to me not too long ago when I had to remove my bumper, had to remove those screws by cutting them out using a dremel
