Inishbofin in Lockdown - The Youngest Islanders

Kids tend to adapt quickly to things, the youth on Bofin were no different! They adapted and reacted to Coronavirus, lockdown, social distancing and home schooling (with a little help from teachers and parents) in their own way and with their own swagger! We hope you enjoy watching them!

They did so well. Had the disease got a hold there it would have done huge damage in such a confined place. It is a very caring way to help. I live on a smaller Irish island and it was the same here ; we old ones were shielded carefully and responsibly .

So? A very confined area and a disease like covid would rip through it like wildfire. Also - and I live on a different Irish island - there is an ageing population who are very vulnerable. ALso very limited medical facilities. You need to watch what you call ridiculous! Thankfully all islanders knew wisdom and sense. And thuse we escaped covid.
