Ping optimizer after the speed test is recommended to run alongside steady ping in the geo filter? They both go good together and are better to be on together for an optimized network? I just wanna make sure I do the best possible to fix the packet loss issues and jitter and ping. Enemies in cod would only take two bullets to either get or knock my character down in game. When the average is about 4-6 bullets and sometimes they eat. Do you think this will fix that issue I’ve been having for years since I had the xr700 as that did not have steady ping
Having both Ping Optimiser and Steady Ping set up will give you a very stable connection, which is ideal for CoD. Ping Optimiser will keep your ping as low as possible when your network becomes busy, and is recommended. Steady Ping removes jitter from your connection, so your gameplay should feel extremely consistent and responsive.
When connecting to your ISP router is there any specific settings that needs to be changed ? For eg. Should i put it in DMZ or should I set the ISP router to bridge mode ? Or should I just follow your instructions from the video
In terms of making them work together connecting them as per the video will be enough. However, to avoid a double NAT it is recommended that you either put the R3 in the DMZ on the ISP router or set the ISP router to bridge/modem mode. We'd recommend bridge/modem mode to ensure all devices connect to the R3 so it can control your entire network effectively.
I just bought this and am trying to set it up it keeps telling me on the dumaos page “your connection is not private sign in. I’ve tried every password including the WiFi details any ideas to help?

Not sure what you mean by "wifi pod"? The Netduma R3 needs to be connected to a modem or ISP router which is connected to the port through which the internet enters your home. You cannot connect it downstream of a Wi-Fi device.
@@netduma Okay so my internet provider made this modem and it comes with a wi-fi pod that you plug into the wall. comes with 2 cables 1 for wireless connection and wired. Just set mine up for Call of Duty, and it keeps trying to connect to the California server even though the Washington server has substantially lower ping. Even if I shrink it out through the geo filter it still connects to that server.

Can I use the netduna r3 with the bt smart hub 2 with a phone line connection? And will I still be able to have devices connected to the bt smart hub 2 and the phone line as well as the netduma r3 up and running at full fibre, that’s what my BT router can do?
Yes and no. If you want to use the R3 to it's full potential, it needs to have all traffic going through it. This will allow SmartBOOST to balance and prioritise traffic. Changes in the usable bandwidth above the R3 will mess with the prioritisation. In your scenario I'd suggest reconnecting all devices to to the Netduma R3 underneath the BT Smart Hub. I’m really thinking about getting one of this for the WiFi 6. I currently have the XR700 with netgear. I don’t know enough about routers to know if it’s worth the purchase of a hold new router just for WiFi 6. Thoughts anyone?
Well for gaming you should always use Lan cabel and have a close geo filter. Wifi 6 is just a nice to have for remote devices, but if you really want wifi 6, then maybe go with a wifi 7 router 😉
Yes, we are planning to launch on Amazon. I can't give you a date when that will be unfortunately, but it will be coming to Amazon within the next few months
If you've got a standalone modem, just connect the modem to the WAN port of the R3 and you're ready to go. Make sure your modem has an ethernet output.
People... Realize something... Not having a router is the best option for gaming. A straight up direct connection from your cable modem to your pc, console, ect is literally the best you can get.
Probably sounded smarter in your head. Noones worried about download speed. People want the duma to set your geolocation so your ping is 5o to 80% lower by choosing game servers close to the fame your playing even tho your 100s of miles away.

Why not write a real tutorial? This literally just gives you a double NAT and will limit any speed gains and add latency by having to go through your ISP's router. You need to show how to set this up by connecting directly to the ONT (what most people with FTTP in the UK will have).
First, they have make sure that the new OS runs correctly on the new platform. They fix any bugs or problems that may appear along the way. And once they know that the system is optimized, they make a version for other devices (if its possible). It is not a job that can be done in 1 or 2 clicks. It takes time and a lot of knowledge. Patience, or, get the new device, which is much better than the R2. Btw, I'm not an employee. Just a nerd😅
I have the xR1000 and it’s improved my experience drastically. The geo filter ensuring I have a good ping and the QOS sliders for buffer bloat were the biggest game changers for me.
Because it's a bad buy nine has a consistently higher ping..... my xr 1000 runs 33 ping playing apex legends but when I switched to the r3 my ping doubled and I mean consistently 60 or higher. This has to be the worst router upgrade I've had. 200$ and a week of my like wasted. And can't just return it because they shipped it from UK.

Enjoying my r3
I have a WAN port to put the R3 in and a regular LAN Port. Where should I put it in?
Will this router work with starlink? Starlink has a bypass mode which bypasses their router so you can hook up a 3rd party router via Ethernet cord
We haven't directly tested with Starlink, but the R3 should work using bypass mode like any other router
