You missed the point. She knows he is American but she is saying because his parents were not born here they don’t have the natural born live die the country and that their parents were not born here so the understanding and live fir the country will not be the same. In other words to me she is saying you can’t be loyal to two countries so to prevent our country from turning into other countries we shouldn’t allow people from other countries to serve in certain positions because they may not hold the constitution in high regards as a natural born person whose family has 3-4 or more generations born in America. There are always exceptions and I’m sure Vivek is one but all it takes is one. Like I mentioned, North Carolina having to create a bill to ban Shariah Law. When’s that ever been a thing in America? Not until they let who in? So if they start getting into legislative positions what happens if they start forcing us to go by that? Sometimes you have to think about what could happen and not on what won’t. If something doesn’t happen good, but when it dies it’s much harder to stop.
The only way to stop that nonsense is to start calling any US CITIZEN, AMERICAN. Not black, Asian and. .. . Americans.

One should never be offended by sincere honesty and the courage to be these things. As startling as her statement was, take some time to really listen to this excellent conversation between Vivek and Ann Coulter. Her statement was actually NOT racist or bigoted. Her issue has to do with loyalty to country. Where does Vivek's loyalty lie, with the US or India, if an issue comes up where he would have to choose? The same thing can apply regardless of race or religion. A Muslim's allegiance to Sharia Law, for example, creates a conflict with US law, in some respects.
Vivek provides the model for calm, reasoned debate. Instead of becoming defensive and leaping to conclusions about what she is saying, he listens and evaluates. Then he pushes back with calm, reasoned logic, not emotion. Ann, in turn, listens to him. This really was an excellent exchange. It's the way we SHOULD be discussing controversial subjects.
P.S. Before hearing this interview, on another reactor's channel, I had no idea that Ann had dated Dinesh D'Souza. What a "racist"!

If Vivek is ever on the ticket, I'd vote for him, because he sounds like he'd be the best candidate. He sure sounds like, no matter his heritage, that he is an American first. (And I dont think anyone can be worse than Former Vice President Biden as POTUS, so the USA will still be better off.) Ann is entitled to her wrong and racist opinion.
Whichever candidate is better for the position, is better for the position, no matter their skin color, creed, upbringing, etc. Based on her philosophy/conviction(?) would she vote for a multi-generational white Demokkkrat, over any non-white Conservative? Coulter is known for saying outrageous things but basically it's what she believes and just says it out loud - she has a point about who would be more loyal to the US , those who's family have been here for generations or from a foreign country. It would be better to have people who are descended from Americans as president but as far as race that would make no difference to me.
I agree that there is something gained by living in a place for generations. But that should not be an overriding factor. You stand on current issues should be the overriding factors.

its a common connection I see, if people are offended being called by their race then there is usually something racists about them. Vivek obviously has a healthy, positive sense of self. If any person has doubts about their self worth as a human being they are more easily offended because a part of them, deep down, believes the person who's being offensive. That being said, I am against racism of any kind. I have been since I was a little girl. In high school I was called a n-lover because I stood up and spoke. I actually felt sorry for that girl.

I would have voted for Vivek even though he's an Indian, because he's also an American. He's an American who understands better than most Americans what being an American means. And I was absolutely in on the Vivek train right up until Vivek started talking about God. I'm a Christian. I want to vote for Christians. I want to at least vote for people who agree with my Christian values, because those Christian values are my values, and me wanting someone who agrees with Christian values is no different from a Bernie Bro voting for Socialists because they agree with their Socialist values. I think everyone is too focused on feelings and not thinking about what she meant. How she said it may not have been the best way to say it but I think I somewhat get what she means. You all can play dumb if you want to but not everybody here us here to be American and if they don’t raise their kids to be American they will embrace the country and culture their parents practice at home. So i never thought about the fact that Vivek's Indian with parents who were not born in the United States. She has a valid point about that & the fact he's not Christian. It's good to be real & talk instead of immediately being dismissive & reverting to name calling like the left. Right now there's a large portion of the population that are openly prejudice against Christians. What religion is Vivek ? Hindu? You can't say anything negative about non-Christian religions but you can about Christians. Another example: During Covid Christian churches were immediately closed but Officials tip toed around Mosques & so they continued worshipping. Christians tried to meet in their CARS in their church parking lot but cops ran them off. Even the Jews when they tried to continue to meet once a week were hosed off the sidewalks in New York by big firetruck hoses (no joke). But Muslims were left alone wherever they threw down their prayer mats.

I think, if she meant it like the way he described, then she could have worded it more like, "I wouldn't vote for you because you're 1st generation American." The idea, like two Chinese spies migrate here, become citizens, have children and then raise them to also be spies, Hate America, but push them to go into politics, say and do everything they can until they become president then destroy from within. I'm not making this stuff up. These are actual worries and possibilities dating back to at least the cold war, maybe even before. Ann Coulter went-on to explain that it was because Vivek is first generation-American. Basically she’s extending, for herself, what the law states (concerning the Presidency) one more generation, allowing for further assimilation to America within the family. IMO, a President needs to be “somewhat” de-rooted from the cultural influences of foreign countries. I don’t believe that Ann Coulter is at all racist.
That being said, I really like Vivek, and I hope that he is a first-round pick within the Trump administration.

If something bad happened in India would Vivek sell us out for them? I would not vote for a first generation Ukrainian either.
