Letting the woman make the choice nearly had me not exist. Mom was at her abortion appointment when she was pregnant with me and changed her mind at the last minute. I think God for that. If plan b had have existed, i probably wouldn't have been so lucky. I was raised poor and to a single mother, but I had the opportunity to survive the first 9 months and build my own life from there.

@@chlupl Absolutely agree with you! BOTH men and women need to be EQUALLY responsible for their actions and hold themselves accountable, or be held accountable by society.
Even though I'm staunchly Pro-Life and strongly believe that both parents should step up and take responsibility in the event of a pregnancy, I feel that as long as we allow women to "opt out" of becoming a Mother without the man having any say in the matter, the man should be afforded that same right as it pertains to child support and other obligations that the Mother can legally enforce onto the Father.
Obviously, ideally I'd much rather see a society where both parents are obligated to take care of and provide for their child(ren) and have equal rights when it comes to their child(ren) but unfortunately, as long as women have exclusive rights to ab0®tion, that won't happen.

Murder is already illegal. I don't know why we make an exception depending on the location of the person. I moved from Oregon where it's legal all 9 months, to Oklahoma where it's illegal with exception for rape and incest, and even as someone who was sexually abused as a child and teenager i feel much better living in a state that protects life.

Yeah. that's the whole thing with abortion imo. Outside of even if its moral at all it is inherently a patch over bad choices that you've already made. Its the pregnancy version of the pass a drug test or hangover cure tonics, you've already made the irresponsible choice now you just are looking to get away with the consequences.

  • @dorahernandez1029

Teaching abstinence for both parties is better.
Like they usually put the responsibility on the girl to say no but it should also be on the guy not to ask/pressure/trick girls.
I also think gays should practice abstinence or use condoms unless they’re with a partner they think will be a life-long partner.

I was raped years ago and the doctor gave me Plan B when I was being checked out. He then said that Plan B only stops conception if that hasn't happened yet and then asked if I would consider abortion if conception has happened. I told him no because God doesn't make mistakes. He was so happy to hear that because he didn't like abortion either but had to give me that choice. Loved that doctor. I'm definitely Pro-life but I don't believe the government should be making the choices for women in certain situations, like rape or incest. And that choice should be made by the woman before a certain time because, once their is conception, it's not just their body anymore. And murder is morally wrong but also legally wrong. Letting certain types of murder take place will eventually lead to other murdering being allowed. Where does it stop? I was legally the guardian of my children until they are considered to be adults. Usually 18 years old. So, could I have killed one of my children, legally, because they were stressing me out to the point of physically making me sick? No! But it's my body being harmed, right? See, how sticky that subject can get? Give people an inch and they will take a mile. Give evil and inch and it will take everything. We can't let evil destroy us to risk not offending someone else. Just think of everything thing else that started out small but led to bigger and worse things. People who manipulate you always start small. They put their toe in the water to test it before jumping in. Example is COVID vaccines. They were trying to get everyone to go along with whatever they wanted us to do. Now, some of those who got manipulated are no longer with us or suffering with bad side effects. Of course, not all because then no one at all would trust the manipulator aka pharmaceutical companies and governments. Just hold strong in your beliefs and hold strong to God because the Devil is working in overtime.

Her body her choice is the most unfair, unreasonable view on this topic. I agree the choice was whether or not to engage in unprotected sex. My story goes like this.
My ex and I were planning to split up in the coming weeks. To avoid off topic and unrelated distraction, she was having some issues and felt like she was better equipped to deal with them back home where she grew up. I understood. However, I had a good job I couldn't just leave yet, and my mother had terminal breadt cancer and I was not leaving her. So 2 days before my ex was set to move back home she tells me she is pregnant but already having a previous child she had real worries as to whether or not she could have taken care of them all once back home. It's important to know that she was a deeply devout Christian at the time. I wanted the child with all my heart. We had a long discussion where I told her I would absoluɓtely take the baby home to live with me and she would have 24/7 access anytime she wanted to as she was the mother. I even said that if she got herself in a position to where she was strong enough then I would be open to her moving the child in with her and I would be the one traveling to visit our child. After lots of tears and hours of talking she agreed it was the best option. I left excited for the future. The next evening I went to pick her up so she could stay with me until the child was born only to find she had left for home surprisingly. And after speaking to her sister whobwas a good friend and in tears she explained after I left the day before my ex went behind my back and got an abortion and left the next morning to go home and had done all that without even a phone call or a heads up even after the long conversation we had about what was best. I had never felt so betrayed in my life. The pain was unbearable. It was like being lost without any way to find your way home. I want all you ladies to know from the very bottom of my heart that some of us fellows out here want nothing more than to do right and have the chance to raise the babies that we create with all you beautiful ladies. That day destroyed me for a long time. My ex's sister was so sad for me and angry at her sister because she felt I was a good man and it was so wrong what her sister did and how she went about it. Fast forward over 15 years I get a call that my ex had killed herself. Soon after that call I get a letter in the mail. She had not left a suicide note. She mailed it to me after 10+ years of non communication, all her choice. In it she wrote how she was never able to forgive herself for how much she hurt me and hated herself for the decision she made. She lost her relationship with Jesus as she committed the worst sin possible going against all her beliefs she had held her entire life. She said if she could go back she would do anything to change what she did and that she wished she had had the child and that the child had been allowed to stay with me because she never doubted that I would have lived for that child for the rest of my life but she took that away from all of us. Those were her words. I wouldn't have been so harsh on her despite my disappointment. Her letter made me want to hold her and hug here and let her know everything was going to be OK. But she never forgave herself no matter how I felt. So she took her life. It's heartbreaking all around. Consequences are real with every choice you make.

Oh how heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing. I truly think, there is only a small percentage of women that can possibly take abortion lightly. It ends up nagging on their very soul. Unfortunately, all we hear from are the heartless ego-maniac women who are so self-centered they truly can use abortion as a birth control and just a tool of their lifestyle.

  • @pamschilaty262
    @pamschilaty262 23 дні тому +2

When you live a long life, you have a prospective that reflects the cause and effect of all your prior decisions. Being told at one time it would be best for my health to terminate a pregnancy and rejecting that option I know the result of that decision. The pregnancy actually improved my situation. The resulting child was my biggest challenge in life, he brought me great grief in his early life. He turned his life around, became an employer of 50 people, he gives me great joy and attention. My point, there is no way to tell a young person that a decision to abort may be depriving yourself of one of your greatest comforts later in life. But, you will never know what you can never know.

As a mom of three children, all three of my kids had complications at birth (first one, too large got stuck, second, emergency c-section, third, went into labor 6 weeks early, and two days later, uterus ruptured and I nearly died and she could have died) and yet, no way would I have aborted them. They are now grown, and two have two kids of their own. the youngest just turned 26 TODAY and is getting married two weeks from today. Life is precious - let unborn babies have a chance.

Just constantly teach her and lead her. Starting now, talk about things you believe in, God, Pro-life, whatever. When she's ready, she will come to you with questions because she's heard you speaking on it. My children are grown now, one is 18, other is 23 with a 3 yr old. They don't act anything like the generation they were born into. They act a lot like my generation. My 23 year old is married and studies her bible but she still has a good time with friends and is leading them to study their bibles and things too. Her friends look up to her. My 18 year old, although a little slow on getting his life going, has turned down drugs and alcohol, many times, and has no desire for it. He's self taught on many things like me and likes learning and finding his own facts. So, raising kids, the right way, is possible just put in the time. Always be honest with them, no matter what they ask. Never baby them when their choices causes pain. Love them but tell them when they are wrong. Another thing I did from time they were born, actually earlier but I know this is your grand that is already 5, but I never ever spoke in childlike voices or gibberish to them or around them and would not allow others to do so either. Both of my children were speaking in full sentences before 2 yrs old. They knew colors and was counting before school started. My son was diagnosed borderline genius by 2. He was also doing algebra, while I was in college because he asked what I was doing, by the age 8. They learn a lot more in their earliest ages. Good Luck to you! :)

    I have 6 children. I had 2 2nd trimester miscarriages.
At 18 I was very naive. I went on a date with a 22 year old guy - at the time I didn’t understand but I was date raped. The first time I ever had sex and I ended up pregnant. I was so ashamed and didn’t tell anyone. I was probably 14 weeks or so and told my mom. I chose to have an abortion.
For 10 of my 33 years of nursing I did L&D. I saw quite a few miscarriages of high-risk pregnancies around 20-22 weeks and the babies are too tiny to survive. However after they’re delivered it can sometimes take a couple hours for the heart to stop.
Knowing all of that information I am limited pro-choice. Bad things do happen and I think abortion should be available to 14 weeks. That would be two missed periods and a decision should be made by then.
BUT also I completely disagree with abortions as a form of birth control. That is UNACCEPTABLE!!!
And talking about the guys responsibility - there’s a lot of hypocrisy. If a woman has the baby she can go after him for child support. Yet if he wants to keep the baby, the woman claims it’s her body/her choice.
I wish pro life people would go easy on choice - allow limited choice early in the pregnancy

    • @SupHapCak
      @SupHapCak 17 днів тому

Nah 14 weeks is too late
Baby has brainwaves at 6 weeks.
Personally I’m an abolitionist, and I want people to be informed and not choose death for their innocent babies.
Legally I’m willing to compromise with 6 weeks, as long as they get rid of all the “you aren’t allowed to pray our give out information near abortion clinics” bull-crap.
The only reason they do that is because when women realize they have been lied to and they see an ultrasound and know how it’s performed, they choose life like 90% of the time.

Excellent video Van, thank you. I do think you can be both pro life and pro choice because it can be a very complicated issue especially if a young girl/woman is abused or assaulted. Abortion shouldn’t be used as birth control, people need to be more responsible than that. There are many options for birth control but I don’t believe a woman should be forced to have a child that resulted from extreme trauma, that’s where pro choice comes in, imho. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos. Great work! :)

For me personally, I believe that life begins at conception. Another thing, the Bible tells us in psalm 139 that God knows every member of our bodies before we were even formed in our mother’s womb. That tells me also that life begins before we came into this world because we are both spiritual and temporal. Bottom line is , I would prefer to die to save my child’s life.

When it comes to abortion, it has everything to do with the man no less than the woman. If a man has no say so in an abortion, then he should have no responsibility that results from that decision. Rather that be to keep the kid or not!!!
When a man has a choice to have a child, then and only then does he have the responsibility of that decision!!
This is why a man should always have the choice as well. And then they can be held responsible!

My granddaughter was born at 5 months which is 21 weeks. She'll be 16 in July. She under went 6 major surgeries in her first 6 months of life and she's the smartest little girl. She draws realistically. Just thinking if my daughter would have given up. They asked her if she wanted them to try and save her and my daughter said, hell yeah. I believe in pro choice but not when it comes to abortion. That isn't your choice because it involves another human being. The fetus is already formed it just needs to grow. I don't believe in abortion or adoption but i believe more in adoption than abortion. If an abortion is performed it should only be if it endangered the life of the fetus or the mother, which is the way it used to be. And you're right, they use abortion like tic tacks and are having sex before they are old enough to make decisions. They don't wait until marriage.

  • @SupHapCak
    @SupHapCak 17 днів тому

They are mutually exclusive, unless the choices are Abstinence, birth control, adoption, or motherhood.
You cannot be pro-life and pro “right to murder innocent baby” especially when the government prosecutes people who seek abortions outside of government-funded clinics.
My alignment ranges between lawful good and lawful neutral depending on how right the law is.
So even though I don’t think anyone should be doing this, I also don’t think the system should prosecute anyone for performing abortions themselves or improperly disposing of remains, until the government takes an official stance on the personhood of the unborn child.

This is a very tough subject. For, you will piss someone off with a personal view. I had to deal with the quandry of possible termination, with my daughter. She was 13 at the time. Found out she was preggers. Because of her age, i had to ask the question, "was abo*tion in the question phase". Her mother went off on me at first. When i told her to slow her ass down, and explain why she was so pissed, i was then informed, kid was already 3 months. My immediate response was, "well, then that is off the table" i only asked about it, because my kid was only 13. I knew how this would change her world completely. After all, it was a great decision to keep him. Yes, was a boy. He is doing great, has a great head on his shoulders. Very well mannered. And yes, i have had conversations with my grandson about all of this. Again, this subject is very touchy and rough to have. Oh yeah, you will not hurt my feelings, so, if have a stance, or want to question me. BRING IT.

If a woman has the choice to end a baby's life then why can't a father have the choice to say he didn't want that child and not have to pay child support

It’s real simple. God in Christ, Christ in man and man over woman. A godly man seeks after God with everything he has and a woman is given unto him. Two virgins come together in covenant with the ancestral father. Anything less than that, is living in hell. I know, I’ve been there and back……….

I know you right Van can’t do the women talk If you want play softball or basketball or baseball I am the person to help I love teaching kids about sports Because it makes me feel good But mainly it helps keep kids out of the street and trouble and I don’t want to see any children getting in trouble with the police These days it’s messed up if you do get in trouble The first thing they want to do is put people on probation and they got you then and that’s messed up This is not how you help people It’s all about money and that’s not right They don’t care about helping people All the police care about is locking people up Before they let people work in law enforcement People should have to take some kind of a test to see what kind of person you are Anyone that is always mad or have a bad attitude They should not even let people like that work in law enforcement They should only hire people to be police if they truly like helping people

When I was a law student, 20 years or so ago, I'd debate people with differing opinions. Those debates don't happen anymore. When it comes to abortion, personally, I find the idea of cutting up an innocent baby inside its mother deplorable, but I also have a mjor problem with telling anyone what they should do with their body.
So your statement that you are both pro life, and pro choice makes sense to me. Yes, it seems conflicted, but we are conflicted in almost everything we do. Abortion is not a choice I would make for my child, but it is also not something I would enforce on anyone, especially my wife or girlfriend, or any woman who will have to bare the burden of bringing that child into the world, often with little or no help from the man or men in her life.

A person absolutely can be anti-abortion, while also being pro choice.
This is a spiritual battle. We shouldn’t be using bureaucrats to restrict other people’s access to abortion(child euthanasia), we should have faith that the spirit of God inside us will change the hearts of others when we lead with love and not judgment.
A lot of the time, with education and alternative resources, women choose not to euthanize their children, but when we try to use the power of the State to enforce our morality on others, it only further emboldens them. When people feel forced to do something, they push back even harder.
We are shirking our personal responsibility to spread love and grace in our own lives when we try and get the government to restrict others. If each of us spent our energy spreading love in our own lives instead of protesting abortion, the outcome would certainly be less abortions, if that’s the goal.

You know what I think needs to be as examined as the idea of what having a life is you know yes we are sentient beings with a different complex thought process but we are also a biological creation that follows the format of reproduction and procreation in my early age experience having a pregnancy as a teenager and getting married it's been great following suit with the natural law of biology is a huge precursor to having a life I don't think so much experiences in the world are what having a life is I think it ends up causing you to have a longing for something that you're missing which is the whole procreation and marriage and things like that I think it's just a natural thing that people are in avoidance of because of the ideology that's been sold to everyone about having a life and living and having an experience every child is unique every marriage is unique and every person is unique so experiencing a repeat experience that the rest of the world is sharing isn't just going with the grain it's having your own unique experience and I think it is what is missing in society today

I'm both pro life and pro choice. That said..maybe I should explain what I mean by pro choice. You have the choice to have sex but by making that choice, you must also accept the consequences of your choice. You can choose abstinence, birth control, avoidance of sexual situations, etc. A litany of choices present themselves BEFORE you actually have sex. Own your actions.
Before anyone throws out the fraction of a percentage chance of rape, incest, or illness, keep in mind THOSE may be extenuating circumstances but by far the actual truth on application. The MAJORITY by far that abortions are done today are an elective procedure based on convenience.

  • @billmelater6470

You can be pro life and pro choice, the issue is in timing. You should have as a rational human being, the choice to engage in biological acts of a consensual nature. That is where choice comes in. However, there are consequences to certain acts and choices wherein choice is no longer an option in that you are no longer a singular involved party. In the case of procreation, the only logical and moral choice is pro-life.
The issue is that people want to argue in any way possible to turn intercourse into a Wednesday evening and rationalize their way out of the consequences. At some point you have to contend with the idea that maybe some of the things you do in your spare time are not good recreational activities.

My point is, is that many people see the abortion issue as purely a religious one.
Religion need not be brought up at all.
As far as atheists and non-religious people go life scientifically begins at conception whether you believe in a soul or not and according to USA law your not allowed to kill an INNOCENT human life.
It is not JUST a woman's body. There are TWO bodies involved. Degree of dependency should not be a consideration. It's a life at 6 weeks, 6 months and so on especially after being born.

Your misunderstanding my whole argument. Point is, is that non- religious people have no excuse for
supporting abortion at any stage because it isn't reliant on religious beliefs. So although you can be against abortion on religious grounds the scientific grounds (also held by believers) is adequate enough to satisfy the state.
We're on the same page here coming at it from different angles.
Why try to alienate us? We can work together on this issue.

The scientific reason has no bearing if humans do not have inherent value from God.
You cannot say humans have value “just because”
      We have value from God.
Without that, abortion doesn’t matter - nothing matters, really. If we aren’t made in His image we are just random assemblies of matter and death isn’t tragic.

But the choice should be made by both the mother and father

We who are pro-life think it’s murder, so if right now I can save every child that’s past 6 weeks it’s a win. But we live in a country with different ideas and values. I don’t think God would say you saved billions of babies but I’m judging on the ones I didn’t save. I don’t think God would say that. There are consequences to actions but with abortion you are freeing people from consequences.

If you say in the same breath that your pro life and pro choice then you are NOT pro life. Abortion is murder, period. There is no scale when you understand that! When you allow murder and are so "compassionate" that you want women to have a choice then you are saying to women who choose to kill their own child that you don't care to warn them that their "choice" will solidify their place in hell because you aren't willing to warn them that they will not enter God's Kingdom after participating in the murder of their child.
