Anne Pro 2 is out now and it's amazing! :) Check it out here: www.banggood.com/Gateron-SwitchObins-Anne-Pro-2-60-NKRO-Bluetooth-4_0-Type-C-RGB-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard-p-1337350.html?p=U4262310975645201705
Prestonious awesome! Simply put, I think it's one of the best 60% keyboard out there. They fixed all of the AP1's issues, bluetooth is great, the software is amazing and the Magic touch feature is really convenient, I'm sure you'll like it! 😄
For anyone wondering about the keylogger thing with Mantistek's GK2 keyboards: An update has been addressed and it states that the keystrokes are not sent in order, they're only sent for product improvement purposes (keypress counts). You can now disable this feature for the GK2. Read this: www.tomshardware.com/news/mantistek-gk2-collects-typed-keys,35850.html As for the GK3, I haven't checked if it sends network packets out via the software. If you are worried, here are some ways you can prevent any keylogging from happening: - Don't install the software, most of the keyboard's features can be changed via the keyboard itself (except for remapping keys) - Install the software to remap keys if you need to and then uninstall it - Install the software and block its access to the network using a Firewall Again, it has not been reported as sending keystrokes over the network, these guidelines are only meant if you don't want to risk anything. Now happy clacking!
For those wondering, this "keylogger" just tracked how many keys were pressed not what keys, this is an extremely common practice, just think about it everytime you use your fingerprint scanner on your phone you are giving someone your fingerprint. It really wasn't a big deal and it is in the past now.
They just recorded how many times the keys were pressed, plus you can now completely turn all key stat recordings off in the software, or just don't install the software. The built in rgb effects are all you need.
I still like my anne pro though! (I really needed a white keyboard, plus I have pretty good cable management, so I don't care about having to use it as a wired board). But thanks for the great reviews!!!
Returned my Anne pro a few weeks ago and finally got this. It's my first time using brown switches and it feels soo smooth(Blue gaterons before ), I love this keyboard already and all it's light options. One extremely minor con is the low angle
Yeah, I would but make sure if you get this KB watch out for FN+Left CTRL and FN+Right Shift because they change the layout (took me a little time to figure this out). I can't really compare the feel because this is my first time using a brown switch but there is no comparison on the RGB side which drew me to this KB.
How is the Bluetooth connectivity of this keyboard? I ill be using i mainly in Bluetooth mode between my PC and mac, so concerned about the connectivity.. Any feedback will be helpful.. Also which version of Bluetooth does it has?
thank you soo much, i was looking for a new keyboard that was 60 percent and had cherry mx browns, it was also on sale for only 58 dollars, so i had to cop
The keycaps have a special treatment that makes them feel like PBT and that should prevent premature shining. On almost all of the other aspects, it's superior to the Anne Pro and keycaps can be changed so that's no big deal imo. You can always a $15 keycap set for it and it's still a great deal! 😄
Sure I can believe that, but that still doesn't make it PBT. The most popular aspects of PBT is the feel and sound and I am pretty sure that a little treatment of ABS doesn't make it sound like PBT. If it would be something better than the Anne Pro it should probably have PBT. But sure I can agree on the fact that it probably could prevent premature shining. Overall I would say that the Anne Pro is still better because you can have PBT stock and imo Gateron are a lot smoother.
What makes a keyboard better is not a single feature, especially if it can be easily changed. If you watched until the end, the stabilizers are much better on the Mantistek, as an example. They don't rattle like they do on the Anne Pro, and these can't be changed. I could argue that good stabilizers are more important than PBT keycaps, but that depends on what you value the most. The keycaps feel closer to the ones on the Anne Pro, now I'm not even sure that the Anne Pro's keycaps are actually real PBT...
Great review. Lot of pros but the minor issues you pointed out are the same ones I believe will bother me. I have Anne Pro and love the keyboard. The thing I dislike about it however, is that when connected via USB when swapping profiles (FN + B + 1,2,3, or 4) it defaults to the primary profile connected via USB not allowing me to swap profiles while keyboard is connected via USB. It's not till I disconnect the USB cable from anne pro that it will allow me to swap profile and control additional devices via Bluetooth. When disconnected the profile remains and does not default back to primary USB connected device. Also dislike the sound of the spacebar. For you Anne pro users is there a fix that corrects issue with swapping profiles while connected via USB?
I have one question about the software. Does it allow you to only light up some keys? I mean, would be possible just having some keys lighten up while the rest of the keys are turn off?
It goes for about 50$ now and you could replace the key caps for ones that are pbt and double shot. At that point it will be more of a Anne pro 2 “killer” but it will never really because of the overall boards quality and such. And for those people the led probably are not as high quality but that does not effect the performance.
Thanks! I mixed a 1976 themed keycap set with a set of black blank keys, so that's what I got haha! So these : www.banggood.com/108-Key-PBT-OEM-Profile-Rainbow-1976-Blank-Keycaps-For-MX-Switches-Mechanical-Keyboard-p-1159227.html?p=U4262310975645201705 and these: www.banggood.com/Blank-Thick-PBT-61-ANSI-Keycaps-For-MX-Switches-Mechanical-Keyboard-p-1143920.html?p=U4262310975645201705
Thanks for the amazing review :) I have 3 questions for you: 1. Can it connect to multiple Bluetooth devices at once (and switch between them with a press of a key)? You talked about switching between wired and Bluetooth, but I mean can it switch between my tablet and my phone without having to re-pair the Bluetooth, for example. 2. When used as wired, will it work without using any Bluetooth? For example, if I have an old laptop without Bluetooth and I don't want to use Bluetooth via dongles. 3. Did I hear correctly? You can't change the secondary Fn functions? Do you ever find that bothersome? Thank you again. Great review!
1. Yes, you can switch between bluetooth devices with Fn+Q/W/E 2. Yes, the signal goes through the wire 3. You can't change the "Fn" key, but you can remap the second layer. I'm really used to having the "Fn" key at a specific spot and that's why I don't use it nowadays. Otherwise, it's still a great keyboard if you don't mind that. Hope it helps :)
Hi, I use the black WSKEN Mini 2 magnetic cable as it transmits data and it's been reliable to me. (I've been using these for almost a year and they're pretty good!)
Haha! The Anne Pro is great too, it's my main keyboard at work! The Anne Pro's community software to change to lighting and to remap keys is great too. I haven't swapped it for this one simply because I can't remap the WASD second function layer to what I want.
I think it improved since I tested it. There seems to be animations now, and maybe it's more stable than before too. The support from Obins has not been the best if you take a look at the Anne pro's community on Reddit.
How long did it take to arrive? I want one but upon going on the website to order it it tells me it's gonna take a month to process the order and then another 4-9 days to get it shipped to me, which is stopping me form buying it because I really don't want to wait that long.
Well I don't quite know what you mean about keycap comparability, I've had no issues with my anne pro with a few different kinds of keycaps, and keyswitches are mostly subjective at this point. I think its a bit short sighted to say either is better or worse in terms of quality like you did. The mantis keyboard looks really good, especially if you like cherry switches, the one off switch, and the non-garbo software but one thing you didn't mention was the placement of the usb port on the mantis. Most custom shells you can get for 60% boards have the port on the left side like on the pok3r or the anne pro but its in the centre on the mantis. The anne pro doesn't have amazing custom shell support because of different screw placements but it most certainly works and has been done, but that port placement will make it very hard on the mantis.
I've had one of the first versions of the Anne Pro and the stabilizers weren't that great, rattely and the stems were too small for standard keycaps. Cherry MX switches are simply the originals and are what's on most high quality keyboards, I still stated that you could prefer how the gaterons feel. The placement of the USB port has no impact as the case screws from the bottom which cancels any custom shell capabilities. It was already impossible at this point. The Anne pro doesn't have a standard screw hole layout either, as you said., which makes it incompatible with 3rd party cases without modding.
actually, you can pretty easily put the anne pro in a custom case as the top left and top right screws do fit and are more then enough to secure it in place for most day to day use. some cases might have some wobble near the bottom that could be fixed with a bit of foam which is hardly modding. otherwise i did actually like your video, it went into a lot of depth without feeling like you were rambling on.
I also made video about it. An great piece of keyboard. Did you experienced problems like keyboard have issues with startup animation or sometimes it does not want to connect properly? I have them but they seem to disappear.
I just got a TADA68 and loved it, still not sure how I would use Excel without the arrow keys, where I need to do CTRL+SHIFT+UP or DOWN to select one full column or row.
Anne PRO Bluetooth chip is Bluetooth Low Energy, and as far as I've seen it reported, it presents no delays even in games. Is the MantisTek Bluetooth 4 too? Given you report it lags.
What type of magnetic cables are you using? I've got some from TOPK but they're rounded and they only transmit charge and not data. Also the magnetic is easily breakable :/
I use the WSKEN Mini 2 cables. Haven't had any problems with these although the reviews are not always positive. for me, they're pretty much perfect, and they transmit data at USB 2 speeds :)
Since the case requires you to screw in from the bottom, is it still possible to screw in a custom case for something like a poker into this PCB? There is a wooden case I really want and I'm not sure if this keyboard would work?
It won't be possible unfortunately, at least not without major modding. Also, the USB port placement is centered on this one while pokers have it at the left side of the case, which would be an issue. That's one of the downsides I guess! :P
Would you be able to change the key caps on these? What would I search for? I’m thinking of modifying this keyboard for my partner. Thanks in advance :)
Yes! :) You can search on Aliexpress or Banggood for "keycaps" Any ANSI layout keycap set should fit, but if they give you the option to buy a 61 keycap set, then it's exactly the number of keys you need. Here is an example: www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Arrial-XDA-61-ANSI-62-ISO-Blank-Keycaps-for-Gh60-60-Poker-RK/32850088972.html
I am really going to be using this keyboard for bluetooth. I have usb c my mac and I really want a better keyboard and I don't feel like using a dongle. I do some light gaming and I just really want a mechanical keyboard that has playable response rate. I know it will never be as fast as wired but I just want something doable for typing and some occasional fortnite and COD. Do you recommend this keyboard or others like the drevo or anne pro. I really love how this has cherry mx tho. Thanks!
I do not recommend it for gaming wireless. While it seemed to perform better than my Anne Pro, it had some latency and repeated key strokes that I didn't intend. The wireless option makes a lot of sense when using it with a phone, tablet or laptop, but for a more serious usage, I would use the wired option. Hope that clears things up!
Are the screws that hold the board together in the same place as something like the pok3r? Because that is my main issue with the Anne pro is that none of the third party replacement cases work with it.
besides the screw hole, the micro usb placement is another issue. It is at the center unlike standard placement which is on the left side. most likely it wont fit
Exactly, since they screw from the bottom, it won't be compatible with GH60 cases out there. Also, the layout is different from my Poker and Anne Pro, so yeah...
Would you be able to tell me the size of this keyboard because I have a really small desk and I’m trying to find the smallest keyboard that isn’t too small at the same time, so do you know the length of this? Thanks
minimalistik thanks man, I’ve got the smallest desk (60cm) and there’s no room anywhere for a bigger one so I’m probably getting this because other keyboards are too big.
You can get it here :) www.banggood.com/Original-Wsken-Mini2-3_3FT1M-Magnetic-Adsorption-LED-Nylon-Braided-Wire-Micro-USB-Cable-p-1114234.html?p=U4262310975645201705
Bkue space bar led is an indicator for you battery.when the battery is fully charged it will be normal.i saw it when i bought and i thought the device was problematic
They're completely different than what's in the Anne Pro. I don't know the names of the chips and board though. As you can see in the video, the board looks generic, I have never seen it before.
got it in my hands 2days ago and i like it a lot.cant beat the price and the quality for real.i cant seem to find the app though.not even in the products page, there is a different link that downloads something useless
you know what is the ann pro killer and ducky mini 1 and 2 . roual kluge 2 and motto speed rk 60% keyboards and other 40$ 60% keys i forgetting about that cost 40$ and wireless and 60$ shit not those over priced keyboards .
Good question! If PS4s accept standard keyboards, it should work fine, but I haven't tried it myself 🤔 It would connect physically, but I don't know if the keys will register.
I've seen this opinion a lot on several keyboard reviews but why? USB c is more durable and faster but the speed doesn't matter on a keyboard. And unless you're constantly plugging and unplugging it durability doesn't really matter either. Why is micro USB a deal breaker for some people?
@@100SlickSilver101 Yea, more durable. I had a keyboard with micro, and after a week i needed to buy a new one. USB type c is like Apple's cable. Micro USB is to cheap to make, and so are USB type c, but its much more durable.
i think this is an excellent keyboard for a budget, but i see the rgb lighting is more visual on anne pro and no doubt it looks fabulous but this looks like a ordinary chinese board.
Bon vidéo, tu devrais essayer de faire du contenu en français! J'ai rarement vu des vidéos du genre provenant du Québec, tu pourrais te faire quelques subs.
Yeah, it was more of a click bait title haha! I just reviewed the Anne Pro 2, and it's a beast, better than both the original Anne pro and this Mantistek board.
yeah, mantistek was the chinese company that unknowingly keylogged keystrokes back to a chinese server from everyone that bought the GK2 keyboard. get the anne pro, DON"T GET THIS SHIT.
That's for their GK2 model and the company addressed this. They only collected key press statistics to improve the products over time. You can read the first paragraph: www.pcgamesn.com/mantistek-gk2-keylogger You can also simply not install the software too as most of the keyboard's features can be used without the software. (only remapping, recording macros and key-by-key lighting configuration requires the software) or block its access to the internet using a Firewall if you're worried. I didn't take the time to check my network packets using Wireshark to see if the software was actually sending data though...
Worse design, worse build quality, no pbts, meh cherry switches, while annd pro 2 has incredibly good kaihl box or gateron. And even if I want cherry for some weird reason - i pick ducky one 2 mini, not this thing. I have no idea how you came up with that title, honestly.
Anne Pro 2 is out now and it's amazing! :)

Suck a fucking pain in the ass to order from that website

For anyone wondering about the keylogger thing with Mantistek's GK2 keyboards:
An update has been addressed and it states that the keystrokes are not sent in order, they're only sent for product improvement purposes (keypress counts). You can now disable this feature for the GK2.
Read this: www.tomshardware.com/news/mantistek-gk2-collects-typed-keys,35850.html
As for the GK3, I haven't checked if it sends network packets out via the software.

I ordered it with the blue switches and i cant wait for it to arrive
Hope, you'll like it!
Mantistek. They found a keylogger built inside of a full layout of this one(GK2-104) just pointing this out coz this might kill it for someone
daberino peperoni Can you send a source for this information?
For those wondering, this "keylogger" just tracked how many keys were pressed not what keys, this is an extremely common practice, just think about it everytime you use your fingerprint scanner on your phone you are giving someone your fingerprint. Is the keyboard programmable so I can have different layouts?
Returned my Anne pro a few weeks ago and finally got this. It's my first time using brown switches and it feels soo smooth(Blue gaterons before ), I love this keyboard already and all it's light options.
One extremely minor con is the low angle
Cool, glad you like the keyboard!

Yeah, I would but make sure if you get this KB watch out for FN+Left CTRL and FN+Right Shift because they change the layout (took me a little time to figure this out). I can't really compare the feel because this is my first time using a brown switch but there is no comparison on the RGB side which drew me to this KB.

rynorigami Yeah, I would like to know too

Hi, I use the black WSKEN Mini 2 magnetic cable as it transmits data and it's been reliable to me. (I've been using these for almost a year and they're pretty good!)
So is this recommended for gaming , like are they responsive? also is there a static effect? I want it color blue . Static blue so can it be?
Hey nice keyboard review! Thanks for the Anne pro alternative !
Thanks, yeah it's pretty good! 😄
I literally just got my anne pro yesterday, so I hope it's bad.
Bro, wtf... :L
Haha! The Anne Pro is great too, it's my main keyboard at work!
The Anne Pro's community software to change to lighting and to remap keys is great too.
I haven't swapped it for this one simply because I can't remap the WASD second function layer to what I want.
I hope they quickly improve on the RGB customizability in the app, that's the only part that bothers me. ;/
I think it improved since I tested it.
There seems to be animations now, and maybe it's more stable than before too.
The support from Obins has not been the best if you take a look at the Anne pro's community on Reddit.
Yeah, I was referring to the dynamic tab, I hope there will be a way to make your own animations. Anyway, great video!
How long did it take to arrive? I want one but upon going on the website to order it it tells me it's gonna take a month to process the order and then another 4-9 days to get it shipped to me, which is stopping me form buying it because I really don't want to wait that long.

Great video and tight shots 👌
Should I get this + custom pbt keycaps or ducky one 2 mini?

I did not experience these problems, it seemed to connect well and I didn't have animations issues from what I experienced.
I don't know how to press F1,F2,F3... and press delete?? You know?
use the fn button + 1 to f1, fn +2 to f2 etc
Its bad for autobuy and vote kick csgo etc. But we can chance the f1 instahead 1
FN+1 as mentionned for the F1, etc. .keys
FN+BAckspace = Delete
Would be interesting to see a video on how to transition to a keyboard with no dedicated arrow keys. No such videos are available on youtube.
True, That's a great idea! It did take me a lot of time to get used to it.

Any ANSI layout keycap set should fit, but if they give you the option to buy a 61 keycap set, then it's exactly the number of keys you need.
That's true didn't notice that, rip.
Exactly, since they screw from the bottom, it won't be compatible with GH60 cases out there.
Also, the layout is different from my Poker and Anne Pro, so yeah...
If i connect the keyboard instead of doing wireless, will i have less input lag?
Yes! :)
Would you be able to tell me the size of this keyboard because I have a really small desk and I’m trying to find the smallest keyboard that isn’t too small at the same time, so do you know the length of this? Thanks
I don't have a ruler on hand, but I would say about 30cm :)
It's half the width of my 60cm mouse pad haha!
minimalistik thanks man, I’ve got the smallest desk (60cm) and there’s no room anywhere for a bigger one so I’m probably getting this because other keyboards are too big.
minimalistik Also, where can I buy one of those magnetic adapters? Thanks :)
You can get it here :)

the package doesn't include a dongle, does one is required ? ty with love from France
great review. Its a great keyboard because i have one too, red switch.
Cool! Glad you like yours :D
Thanks for your comment!
2018, Micro USB - manufacturer GFY.
So it a anne pro and ducky killer?
The blue led on my spacebar is ALWAYS on. I tried switching profiles and so on but nothing worked. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Bkue space bar led is an indicator for you battery.when the battery is fully charged it will be normal.i saw it when i bought and i thought the device was problematic
i like your videos.. subbed.
Thanks :)
can you tell the name of a board and bluetooth of the chip? they same as well as at anne pro?
They're completely different than what's in the Anne Pro.
I don't know the names of the chips and board though.
As you can see in the video, the board looks generic, I have never seen it before.
got it in my hands 2days ago and i like it a lot.cant beat the price and the quality for real.i cant seem to find the app though.not even in the products page, there is a different link that downloads something useless
Great! I wouldn't know about the software.. it's been a while since I've installed it haha
@@minimalistik can you tell me the name of the app??
there is no bluetooth dongle in the package ? you must buy it ?
supertak3aways no u dont need any dongle
I can get it now for 50 euros. Really want to buy this.
You should check out the Anne Pro 2, it's even better than this one! :D
I cant get the software to work. Someone help?
I got that keyboard with the blue switses
just ordered Anne Pro few moment ago & this came out...
The Anne Pro is still a great option though, I'm currently typing this on an Anne pro haha!
aww, that's sweet mate, it just arrived not long ago ... Lovely 😍
I hope it will support different case bucause for me it was a deal breaker, although my younger brother doesn't complain about it
I don't think it will as the screws are on the bottom, and I have not seen any 60% with that case mounting type yet... :/
I just found out about this. I just bought an anne pro 2
The AP2 is better, this one was in comparison with the original Anne Pro :)
Does this keyboard have a delay in USB mode?
Not that I can perceive, there's no delay imo :)
Keep it up
Nice vid
Hey thanks! 😄
Is banggood a good place to biy from
MOON I often buy stuff from Banggood and it’s great 🙂
@@minimalistik do i need bluetooth to use the keyboard wired

MantisTek vs The anne pro

Ewa Anne Pro 2 is superior

Hey!You can buy some nice One from ebay, I did it. I just bought this keyboard, with keycaps from ebay ;)
But is it better than the anne pro 2?
Noooo, the Anne Pro 2 is much better, I made a video about it if you're interested! :)
ua-cam.com/video/rsJDL2G3xd4/v-deo.html
Any way you can tell the battery level? I'm gonna buy this one and returning my Anne pro.
Not that I know of... there's no battery indicator
Hope you'll like it!
Where are you from?
Can the usb of this keyboard connect to a PS4?
Good question! If PS4s accept standard keyboards, it should work fine, but I haven't tried it myself 🤔
It would connect physically, but I don't know if the keys will register.
minimalistik oh ok 👍
what sublime theme is that?
It's VS Code, with the default dark theme :)
It uses micro usb... Thats an bad thing
Fuck micro usb. I have no devices with micro usb, and will not buy this just because of micro usb. I dont need another shitty cable at my home.
Thanks, I was about to buy the anne pro
Boyfriend: I think you’re cheating on me
Girlfriend: why would you think that, I’m not cheating on you
Also her: 6:29
😉
i think this is an excellent keyboard for a budget, but i see the rgb lighting is more visual on anne pro and no doubt it looks fabulous but this looks like a ordinary chinese board.
True! The lighting options are really good!
I thought it said Anne Frank killer, I'm dissappinted
Anyone tried modding or changing the case on the GK3?
The micro usb port layout is unconventional, so it would definitely require some modding 🤔
how about the GH60 cases but drilling the hole in the middle? thinking of doing that
Bon vidéo, tu devrais essayer de faire du contenu en français! J'ai rarement vu des vidéos du genre provenant du Québec, tu pourrais te faire quelques subs.
I'd say gaterons feel nicer and anne pro's stosk keycaps are way better
Yeah it's all about taste at some point.
I like my Anne Pro's gaterons but its stabilizers are pretty bad, so yeah..
The coupon doesn't work
It should work now! 😄
Coupon code does not work
Contacted the seller, it should now! 😄
Does this work on xbox
LOWkEY B541 yes
@@vega8895 are u sure i heard otherwise
LOWkEY B541 why did you ask then bitch
Its a great keyboard. But Anne Pro killer? That's hilarious! Anne pro is way better. Great video though
Yeah, it was more of a click bait title haha! I just reviewed the Anne Pro 2, and it's a beast, better than both the original Anne pro and this Mantistek board.
So this keyboard is great but a bit shady xD
is a $100 Bruh
*laughs in dk61*
20% off coupon doesnt work
Thanks for letting me know, I'll ask Banggood about it!
I'll let you know if I get an answer from them
minimalistik thanks! If it works I'm getting this keyboard ASAP
minimalistik Yeah, it's not working for me either, please let me know if it works later. Great video!!
+1 on the coupon not working
I'm pretty sure it's because they are having a 5% sale currently, so we can't add another 20%. Hopefully once the sale is over we can use it.
french canadian?
yeah, mantistek was the chinese company that unknowingly keylogged keystrokes back to a chinese server from everyone that bought the GK2 keyboard. get the anne pro, DON"T GET THIS SHIT.
That's for their GK2 model and the company addressed this.
They only collected key press statistics to improve the products over time.
You can read the first paragraph: www.pcgamesn.com/mantistek-gk2-keylogger
You can also simply not install the software too as most of the keyboard's features can be used without the software. (only remapping, recording macros and key-by-key lighting configuration requires the software) or block its access to the internet using a Firewall if you're worried.
I didn't take the time to check my network packets using Wireshark to see if the software was actually sending data though...
Stabilizers are trash on all boards xd
Anne Pro V2 sure win 10000000%
tai phan preordered it so we'll see 😄

Worse design, worse build quality, no pbts, meh cherry switches, while annd pro 2 has incredibly good kaihl box or gateron. And even if I want cherry for some weird reason - i pick ducky one 2 mini, not this thing. I have no idea how you came up with that title, honestly.
Not trying to hate but why do you talk out the side of your mouth
