Stevie is pure music. Music in the sense of something cosmic, something pre-thought. I listen to him and I am reduced to vibrating atoms, dissolved in the soup of the universe.
My sweet grandfather, Mr. Stevie Wonder. You gon make me cry. What a pure spirit. A sheer talent. You're the best and I love you so much. Happy birthday, King. *YOU* are the "King of R&B," period. You're all we got so we gon hold on to you for dear life. And I mean it. Great performance. What a voice.
Stevie Wonder is the one who invented the R&B style and paved the way for people like Usher, Boyz II Men, R. Kelly and many others. It all started with Stevie.
April 27, 2022: Attended a concert in ABQ on June 15, 1972 with my boyfriend. Three years later, he was killed in a car crash in Aug 1975 a few months after completing his tour with the U.S. Marine Corp. {He was 23.} Stevie's music makes me sad now. John 3:16
I've played harmonica for over 50 years. I'm pretty good, and people love to listen to my playing. I've played jazz and blues in clubs, usually accompanying piano or guitar. Its just for fun and I have no pretension to being a professional musician. But when I hear that harmonica, its beyond my imagination just hearing it, but how can anyone actually play that? Pure genius, up there with the greatest classical violin solos ever performed.
As someone born at the turn of the century, I harbor a unique outlook in regard to this period that is both somehow relatable and simultaneously /unequivocally unattainable considering my absence during such a seminal time. With that said, something about Stevie’s sound has the power to transcend generational and cultural barriers in a way that’s timeless, seemly saudade, and eternally impactful. Listening to this often transports me to seemingly important moments I’m not sure I experienced or that I’m certain I ever truly did (at least not in my current lifetime). Despite this, I can’t help but harbor a great sense of familiarity, almost like I’ve been there before or could have been in a 1000 other places a 1000 times prior to my current timeline. Perhaps it’s the way a relic conversation with a friend over the cool southern air and the sounds of yesteryear echos in my mind, a meal prepared with ingredients half a century ago, the last moments of a precious life someone once thought would endure forever, or that final phone call with a loved one that seemly begrudgingly more distant over time that makes me feel this way. I don’t know why any of us are here, or how we can escape the wonderful juxtaposition that is time, but music like this certainly helps along the way. Thank you from everyone still alive to hear your music today and those whose hearts have since lost their rhythm in this complex web of existence we all share together. May the future return to a time when living was easy, the moon glimmered lightly, echos of hope filled the morning air, and connectivity meant everything ❤
Stevie Wonder has become one of my favorite musicians absolutely from the shifting styles to the rhythms in his songs to his melodies and lyrics and his pure emotion in all of his songs all while being an excellent multi instrumentalist and producer. The man is a complete musical genius
this man one original bad dude hes amazing n talented man nothing like driving with your cousins in the summertime driving into da knight wit ur dad #goodtimes
It's used to sing this song when I was in high school. Our music teacher taught us his learners. I don't know Stevie. Wonder is the music artist of the song.
Me encanta.
I saw him perform in Manchester in about 1970 or 71. I was about 16y ears old. He was just amazing and Gladys Knight and the Pips were his support act.
I have been so privileged to grow up knowing stevie wonders songs. My sister took my ticket to see Marvin Gaye because I was too pregnant to go and stevie was in the row in front and he got up on stage with Marvin and I never stop telling her how much I despise her for that 😂😂😂 obvs only joking cos I got my beautiful daughter out of it but still will always feel a bit sad I wasn’t able to go 😂
There is no thing to compare to Steveland Morris in his manifest form. Not even his form could contain his spirit. His cup runneth over and we the world benefits all the more. His makes natural the super natural and shows is by his living and loving example that we all can achieve greatness within each of us.
Yall better enjoy this man now because when he's gone there won't be another Stevie Wonder.
The same as all our elders and icons; the 2020s will be rough as we lose so many of the wise and wonderful alike. Cherish each moment.
How true that is Brenda... Stevie's a once in a lifetime talent! God Bless him and us...
I don’t want to live in a world without coffee or Stevie Wonder.
🥺 Please don't say that.
@@movienerd202 I'm just being real, because we don't have many old school great artists left. We got to enjoy them while they here.
He's so beautiful and he's still here. I love you, Stevie.
Ditto Elizabeth.....
What a blessing to still have him
I can’t imagine a person NOT loving Stevie. What a treasure of a human.
Thank God every day for this blessing of a man!
Everybody gangsta until Stevie pulls out the harmonica

We can remove R. Kelly he deserves to be left incarcerated for the rest of his life and all the royalties will be sent to the victims of his Crimes!

This is The One and Only Legendary, Mister Stevie Wonder
What this man can do on a twenty dollar harmonica is indescribable.
I need his biopic, like ASAP! Covering his classic period.
