"F" prednisone..its an evil medication. I was on 80 mg for almost a year. It made me act erratically and bonus, I put on 70 lbs in almost a year. Finally on remicade and off prednisone which took forever to taper off of it. It's a terrible disease but it can always be worse. We need to be grateful for the good things and keep our heads up.

Damn Prednisone did all of that to you? I take it for pain sometimes & it really helps. But since I'm type 2 diabetic, doctors really don't like to prescribe it to me. It raises my blood sugar like crazy 🤪

As a Canadian with free health care, I can’t imagine how hard it must be to have to pay medical bills. I think it’s crazy to be charged for a hospital stay.

I have had crohns since age of 15, I have had 10 blood transfusions and multiple ops in last few years, however I am back fighting fit walking over 10,000 steps a day, NO medication at all. I repeat that no medication. I used to be on pentasa and predisalone, but i'm not anything at all. At my lowest I weighed 6 stone, but afer years of pushing myself I am fighting fit and in ft work etc..

a shocker. we have insurance so we pay about 20 cents per perscription. And hospital stays/visits/tests are free. However, the insurance wont cover the injections and for one year its around 120 thousand per year

Fortunately we have the ACA which needs to cover most of tbe hospital Bills! Healthcare should not be robbing us financially like this... not acceptable and must change!!

prednisone blows man. I started off with 11 daily and reduced by one every week. 15 pills a day isnt too too bad. At one point i was taking 31. Now i take 13. You were diagnosed around the same time as me. And ive also done meds that go where the sun dont shine. Right now if i get any worse ill need injections or infusions. And no offence...losing 40 pounds sounds like god to me. I gained like 15 with the pred and im only 5'0 so it looks like 50 pounds lol. wow the bills are a little of a

I'm thinking I may have the same. I had a endoscopy done but everything was fine. I've been dealing with this for two years now and I feel like a walking corpse.. I'm getting a colonoscopy done by my GI next week and hopefully they have answers. When I was younger I was overweight and then I began eating vegetarian. But I also have vitiligo. Since the age of 11.. I wonder if it most definitely has something to do with it since it's also an autoimmune disease.. who knows 😔

The pain is unbearable though... I weighed 185 before I got sick with stomach pain.. over the course of a few years I was down to 130. I've been trying to put my weight back on ever since but then I get these flare ups and I just can't... I feel you man. Luckily I have insurance now.. I didn't before so that's why I didn't do anything about it. It's also cause financial complications for me due to having to work and live with this.. been in and out of jobs. It's terrible man
