Great job mate. I was thinking the same design and was so glad to see you make what I was thinking. You really helped me with the finer details and saved me $3500
Hi mate all I do is pull the winch rope out until I see the mark I have put on the rope and then pull the boat from the back until it pivots on the back rack and then just reverse the winch until its back on the ground. Cheers
Thanks, I had made my own side loader to go on our cruiser but we are getting rid of it and buying a Silverado that already has an alloy rack and I have a 400kg electric winch I will transfer from my old system.
I used to have a aluminium roof rack with my old tinny and converted that to a boat loader, I installed a remote winch on it and all the rope tie points and that used to work great but ended up selling the tinny and the roof rack with it, that's when I came up with the idea of using the bull bar winch.
@@sergemizzi1782 or I was thinking of using the tow hitch locking pins and welding one end in and then you can also lock the tinny to the roof rack and will be secure enough to travel with.
The best - Homemade Boat Loader using car winch! good Job!

Very nice, now add a bracket at rear so you don't have to back and move the boat in place ,also some in front to lock it down.

Hi mate, awesome boat loader, I was wondering if you have any diagrams or pictures of the front mount that you but on the bull bar? Thanks mate

How does one secure it?
Ratchet straps
@@sergemizzi1782 is there anything else on the market that will lock it into place?
You could maybe drill through the gunal rail and bolt to your roof rack with some bolts and butterfly nuts
@@sergemizzi1782 or I was thinking of using the tow hitch locking pins and welding one end in and then you can also lock the tinny to the roof rack and will be secure enough to travel with.
probably a dumb question, but wheres the engine go?
If you mean winch motor it uses the car winch on the front bullbar
@@sergemizzi1782 Nah, dumb
er question, the boat motor
Sorry mate wasn't sure what engine, the boat motor goes on a frame in the back of the ute tray
were is the outboard, fuel tank, fishing gear, safety gear, trailer???? and all the other shit that belong in the boat, yep great idea you have here
