I was in my first year of college when I started watching Laura's show and I think it was around 2010! She was so shy and quiet back then compared to now. It's been nice to watch her grow and follow her along every step of her life. Her cooking has been so consistently excellent that I'm still subscribed today
I’ve been here since 2010 as well. I discovered you one day in my feed of cooking shows I watched on UA-cam. I started watching and never looked back 😊I’ve bought your first cookbook and will be purchasing the second one. Laura you are such a kindhearted, thoughtful and loving person. When I loss my parents and younger sister years ago back to back you were so kind and offered condolences and prayers for my family. You didn’t have to say anything but you did and that touched my heart and made me love and support you more. Thank you for being you and I pray God continues to bless you and your family.
I want to tell you how much I enjoy the editing/production of your videos!! I get the recipe, clear and concise directions; however, I do t need to watch you cut veggies for 10 minutes or stir bacon. But it isn't like those short form cooks who throw things in the pot while staring into your soul and never looking away from the camera the entire 30 seconds! I love your lives too, especially when my comment is read!! Made my day!!
I substitute unsweetened almond milk for heavy cream and cauliflower for potatoes and italian turkey sausage instead of pork, but i keep the bacon because my kids love it. It is delicious. Is it the same? No, but it helps me with my goals, and my husband, kids, and I love it. I also make your garlic knots, and those are never a miss. No matter how I switch up this soup, it's a hit. Much love from Utah 🌸
This is my first time making and tasting this soup. When I tasted it I was like Are You Kidding Me! Out of this world good. When my husband tried it he was just as in love with it as I was. Made it for company the following weekend and they were equally amazed at how good it was. They took the recipe home with them and continue to rave about it. Thank you for yet another fantastic recipe. I am Italian and as many Italians who know the difference between good food and not even close your recipes are spot on.
I like how when Laura has a Snafu she admits it & let's you know what to do to still come out with a delicious recipe 😊😊. I love this soup, it's lite while also being filling 😋
Oh yum! I have been making this soup for months, now. To make it really “hearty”, I add lots of beans, like great northern beans and small white beans and navy beans, cannellini, too. Even garbanzo beans! It really comes out great.
Super delicious! Corn starch is the only way for us gluten-free folks to thicken anything. So nice to see you suggest it. Thanks for all your good work to bring us wonderful recipes!
That is my absolute favorite soup! I've always loved the Olive Garden version, but when you made this soup 4 years ago, I made it at home. 1000x better than Olive Garden's for sure! And for the last 3 years, I make it every year for my birthday. Thank you so much!
My souls is snug as a bug watching this video. I love soups! It brings back such good memories of when I was a kid living at home and my mama making soups. Delicious. Thanks for sharing ❤
My hubbies fave! I do substitute spinach for kale, but otherwise this is spot on for my version. No o e is my house could remember the name so we call it Soupa de Soupo. Delish!!
Came here for comfort vibes. I used to binge your youtube channel when I was a kid especially in winter. I might find something to make. ❤ from adelaide australia
Hi Laura, what a gem of a recipe!….perfect for the January blues👌👌👌👌😁😁😁😁….you forgot a step, and you came up with plan B without breaking a sweat…..that shows what a great role model you are to all the home cooks you have made plenty of mistakes…….dynamite Laura!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️…I preordered your book, and I’m excited to dive in to “At the table”.
Hi Laura I love your channel and all your dishes!!! You are such a sweet delight I want to get your new cook book for real!! Please don’t ever stop teaching us how to cook different dishes!! Love you from Alabama!!!❤❤
cornstarch gives it a different texture. If you forget the flour (which I did making something else a few days ago), you can make a roux with butter and flour in a little pot and then either add the gloppy roux to the pot or temper the soup into the roux and then pour it all back into the rest of the soup.
Great job in your cooking show and you have been doing this for over 14 years great job and Happy Anniversary my dear friend Laura in your kitchen Thanks 😊
Ooooo Laura, that looks really good!! Your mouth watering is making my mouth water! 😂 I’m always looking for new soup recipes! I LOVE SOUP! I make a pot and put it in jars and have it pretty much every day when I come home for lunch! I’m looking forward to making this one! 😁💕
I make this but I use spinach the kale bothers my stomach-looks amazing-definitely going to make your recipe!Thank you for sharing and Happy Belated Anniversary 🙏❤️🥂
Homemade soups are a favorite of mine. I love making them, and I have forgotten the flour too, and I used cornstarch at the end to compensate. I have to make this soup, it looks delicious. I'm thinking with some homemade croutons to top it.
Hi Laura, would you mind making a cut-out Coffee Cookies? I would love to make it for our festive season, Eid this year. Thank you so much! Looking forward to it, love you 😘
That light blinking on the stove was killing me! BTW, what brand chicken stock? I have been using Sam's club base for a while, it does what I want it to do but I would love to knw what you use.
Laura, what kind of Buillon powder do you use? Amazon? I can’t find bulk (if you will) powder si I use Better Than Buillon but like the versatility of powder. LOVE the Garlic & Herb seasoning, btw!!
Thanks!! Can’t wit for my cookbook! My family’s traditional manicotti uses crepes made with flour, egg, & water. Filling is basically the same, also make meat & cheese, and ricotta & spinach! @@LauraintheKitchen
I love cooking videos because sometimes I get tired of all the politics. Laura, my grandmother was the best cook ever. She was born in 1910 and she is in heaven now. All the memories... where could I possibly begin. When that woman put a plate on the table you knew somebody loved you. To you and yours!
A) it’s been 4 years since I shared this, it’s ok to reshare. B) we need to normalize remaking same recipes over the years because we aren’t machines, we are real home cooks who want to cook real good food. C) Times are tough, groceries are expensive, if making a pot of a soup using things I have on hand often and wanting to share it with y’all to inspire you to do the same is wrong then I don’t wanna be right
Happy 14 year anniversary Laura!! I think it just passed? Thumbs up if you've been here since 2010!!!
❤❤❤
I love you for remembering ❤️❤️❤️ thank you!!!

I want this with brisket instead in it
Hi Laura. One of my favorite soups. I make it at home.
I just made this today with your other recipe vid here 😊 love it! This one looks even better!
Yay! Once in a while updating older recipes can improve them and remind ourselves of some really good ones!
wish I'd watched this before grocery shopping this morning
Was making baked ziti tonight but the temptation to switch to this is very strong. I’ve already got the sausage out… lol
Hahaha listen I feel this hard!

Yum!
I'd love to know what grater you use for your parm. Looks like it makes quick work of the job! It's not in the kitchen list of gadgets.
I’ll update! Thank you!!

Try instant mash potatoe flakes, instead. It works.
That’s genius!
I used to work at Olive Garden. Put a scoop of Chicken and Gnocchi it with the Zuppa next time you visit. Thank me later 😏
Forgot the flour, no problem . Just use a little potato starch. I never used flour in this soup. Add a little white beans as well.
Good idea!
Can you use Pancetta instead of Bacon?
I can’t think of a reason why not!
❤❤❤
Is this a cholestrol bomb?
what about updated chicken piccata ?.
Good one!! I’ll add it to the list!
❤
I prefer using corn starch over flour. Flour is pretty overrated
Hello Laura you are so lovely and always a Pleasure to watch love you.

Yessss perfect explanation
You are so beautiful!
There is no Italian soup that I know of that has bacon in it. Nor would I want it in My Soup
Please rewatch the beginning so you can see I never said it was an authentic Italian soup
This is not Tuscan soup, which you should know, Laura.
Pretty sure she specifically said it was zuppa tuscana from Olive Garden and wasn’t Italian 😂😆
She said this is not an Italian recipe at the beginning of the video.
lol I never said it was 😂😂😂😂😂😂 re watch the beginning please
I love this soup but never thought of adding bacon, carrots and celery.. live and learn! Lol. Thank you!
@@glowyaflegit came to say this 😂😂 people be so pressed about EVERYTHING… LITK has made 10,000 episodes she can say anything 😂 and I’ll swear by it
