Hi Dr. I believe I have occipital neurology decompression. I try therapy, exercise, chiropractor massage, but none of them work do you think PRP is going to work for occipital neuralgia decompression. I found your video and where are you located at? Occipital neuralgia can occur with compression of the occipital nerve in the posterior head (occiput) between the trapezius fascia or at the exit in the cervical spine at C2. There may be multiple reasons for the headaches. Occipital neuralgia can respond to nerve hydrodissection with dextrose or PRP, but often the upper cervical spine needs to be treated with prolotherapy or PRP. We are located in Estero Florida, we accept most insurance for the consultations (if you are in FL), or self pay if out of state. The PRP and prolotherapy are not covered by insurance.

Neuropathy treatment can includes either dextrose or PRP along with nerve hydrodissection. Nerve treatments with dextrose alone can be very effective in treating nerve pain, PRP can be more effective when dealing with neuropathy pain that is accompanied by numbness and weakness.

Nerve hydrdissection can be effective for neuropathy from many medical conditions (diabetic neuropathy, covid neuropathy, chemotherapy neuropathy, others).
