That looks wicked good, and that minis sculpt is absolutely perfect for the painting technique demonstrated in this video. An enthusiastic 👍!
Great video! I started mine with the Zenithal prime is of course a great starting point. One thing to point out is that it’s a good idea to see what colors people have on hand before just buying all the colors used here. An excellent example is the spaceship grey that be easily be replaced by a number of similar light grey or while paints since this is just a light dry brush. Or even use white with a smidge of black or grey.
You're absolutely right. I just picked colors I had laying around - they can be swapped for many other alternatives.
Easy peasy. Lemon-squeezy! I just did the first two of eight adults of Nemesis like this and it didn't take that long and looks great. Thank you for the video. Now to figure out how I'm going to paint the Creepers and Breeders in a similar fashion.
I'm glad it worked for you!
Awesome paintjob! Thanks for sharing!
Ha! Nice to see someone doing a speed-painting video for those. A very similar approach to mine, but really different in execution and materials used. Good job!
Hey, glad you liked it. Sometimes you just want to get the game painted asap :)
@@WatchItPaintIt Yup, exactly what I think. Not every mini needs to be painted to the best of our skills.
Fantastic video! Thank you so much man!
Great video - love KS paint video’s 👌
Thanks Ryan! Ben and I post mostly KS paint videos on this channel.
Great video!🤩
Great work
This miniature looks easy that way but when you consider that there is much more flash on in it gets tricky. Legs, arms and back are all uncovered. If you look closely belly, neck and ears are also not exosceleton. Try to reach your brush there
Looks Brilliant bud :) I have the lockdown game ordered from months back. Always wanted the main game but I had to make a choice between the two and I would be mostly playing alone. But I love the feel and design of the minis they have for the games :)
Hey - sorry I just saw this. It's a really fun game. I love that you can play full co-op or "semi-co-op" - where each person has a secret agenda.
@@WatchItPaintIt Ah now do not worry at all be insane to look at everything and try to reply :D Yeah the game is a hell of alot of fun but you need a couple of hours free to play and thats if you all know the rules well. But it is very fun and can be annoying though. less people is best just so when people get killed off someone isnt waiting doing nothing for an hour and a half.
This makes it look so easy to do. I am a programmer with no visual imagination whatsoever, but I am thinking of buying STALKER tabletop - and debating on buying sundrop edition vs gray and then be able to paint. Also have non-sundrop DRG.
It is easy mate. I am a programmer too and had never held a paint brush before in my life :-)
Man, you made that look so easy. I was going to get someone to paint mine at a local shop but now you’ve convinced me to ruin these amazing figures myself …I blame you
how did you do? :)
Update?
Heroes & Bosses
Yessir - Ben and I have teamed up, officially :) All my new content will be posted here - and occasionally I'll move a popular video over from my old channel.
[Ben] Hero It Boss It :-D
will you be doing Void seeders?
Cann you wash the color off and start again if you mess up?
Only if you use a special solvent to clean it - like SimpleGreen or isopropyl alcohol.
Any reason I couldn’t use some Krylon paint for the primer coats?
Lots of people swear by Krylon. I sometimes use it for terrain. For a large model like these Krylon should work fine.
@@WatchItPaintIt thanks, yeah it’s so much cheaper!
Can I ask you what are you using at the end on it ? Something to cover the paint on it ? Or you are just painting it and that’s it?
We would normally put varnish on the miniature to add a layer of protection to the paint job :)
Do you need to wash these plastic figures with soapy water before priming? I read that its recommended
I would, yes. If it's not attached to a sprue, then it's probably covered in a releasing agent (oil). I washed all mine with warm soapy water and a toothbrush.
@@WatchItPaintIt I would like to paint my lockdown nightstalker figures with a red/orange base colour to look like mars. Would you stilll recommend black priming? Cos the intruders are not black looking like in original nemesis.
Unless its still ideal to black and white prime and then go for an orange wash?
do you have a list of what you used?
