I actually had to watch this again, I've been dreading removing my subframe to get to the sway bar, my driver side bushing is worn out and it's making some clunking noise. But seeing that the steering rack's bolts are actually underneath the subframe, I'm not too worried anymore about having to do an alignment. Just have to make sure that the subframe and lower control arms rear bolts are back in the same spot, there's a little play in them I believe. Thanks for making this video, I'm a little more confident now tackling my issue. Oh and I'm replacing my sway bar with one from the Scion xD. I had to watch it in .5 speed to catch some things. I can tell it's more entertaining, you sound like had some Scooby Doobie snacks. 😅
@@sage6459 I saw them in EBay, but I wanted to make sure they’re the same ones before I got them. Kind of expensive really, and might not be worth getting if you don’t track you car.
@@galkawarrior I don't track it but my coilovers need that metal hat because they have a little give up top that I don't like. Could you shoot me that link please 🥺
@@RassoolRacing I’m looking at getting some made for mine, using a plate that bolts up from underneath. Using a bmw e36 pillow ball adjustable bearing and a custom plate
Depends on the car. This one had no rear bar to begin with, so a stiffer front bar is only a slight increase in front roll stiffness while the rear has increased a lot.
bro can you please send me the link so that I can buy my 07 Yaris the same top hats. I have the godspeed coilovers and believe it or not ..the same issue with the spacer when it was installed
Here they are listed on eBay. As a 08 hatch owner i found your videos so relevant i learn a lot. Greetins from Ensenada, Baja México.
You are the best, i can easily fix my toyota yaris after watching your videos
This is all so awesome. Love your content.
I wish parts were more accessible for the previous gen. It's been an absolute hunt.
For real most of the community love the box 1 gen but your work it's so helpful thank uu

Glad it helped. I tend not to make true tutorials, because I never know if I'm doing it right until it works.
Love this series! You've got me looking really hard at autocrossing next season (this year is pretty much done in Nebraska).
Awesome content as always, was great seeing you out at Buttonwillow.
Just found your channel. I also own a first gen 87 4runner and an 07 yaris hatch. Lol
That's awesome! Welcome dude!
all the best for the panda
Wish I could get stuff like this for my 2005 Scion XB
i'm in desperate need of those oem spacers...know where to get them? I'm driving without them and its awful
Are the cusco parts for sale?
What’s the part number for the Cusco strut mount?
Never got a reply from him huh..sheesh

Steering shaft under the dash sir or a steering coupler
Have you considered any adjustable top mounts to allow you to adjust camber?
Unfortunately they aren't an option for the Yaris, but I've got double stacked camber bolts and I run about 2.5 deg negative camber

Does a stronger front and softer rear sway bar provide better handling and less body roll? I thought it was the other way around.

😂 spacer had me rolling, what all have you removed to lose that 300 pounds off your yaris?
Rear seats, most of the interior, ac, heater core, radio, all the ac ducting, lighter wheels, lightweight pulleys,
Where u finde the inner visor i only finde for out side?

Can I get the shock mount on Amazon or ebay
The Cusco one pops up on ebay pretty often
This reminds me of the nightmare it was to lower my car.
