- The Arkansas Razorbacks end the regular season by defeating Missouri 34-17 on Senior Day at Razorback Stadium. The Hogs move to 8-4 on the season and head coach Sam Pittman discusses the win and what this season as been the like the Razorbacks.
Great win! Before season I predicted 6-6, now that we are 8-4, I’m ecstatic. I contribute that to coach Pittman. I know over the season many of us “old men” have heard his motivational speeches and commented on how he made us want to get out there and fight, so now I know why we finished 8-4. Those young men wanted to play hard and make coach proud. Love coach and this team! Thanks for a great season. Go Hogs!
Only against Georgia were we less than competitive on the score board....with what was reported the toughest schedule in the country. Coach is class personified. LOVE listening to Coach....he doesn't talk down to you....he talks down home. GO HAWGS!
This team could easily have been 10-2 especially if you change the scheduling logistics.
7 straight games until your break? Ludicrous. Then you get the only Cupcake the week after? 1 less home game?

A coach that never takes any credit but distributes it to the other coaches and the players, who is loyal to a QB instead of going to the portal, who gives a running back that fumbles the ball on the key play of the game the ball again on the next key play where he scores, where do you find a man like this?

It sounded to me like Sam Pittman was hinting that Barry Odom is leaving. I don't know any other way to read it. LSU Maybe?

Odom will be a Head Coach next season.
I think he was referring to Odom getting canned from MO and then beating his former team.

Yeah...Drink an Arkie, but that was very uncool. I think Mullen's Vader presser coulda stood on its own without additional comment. Bielema used to have press spats with other coaches - unprofessional, IMHO!
You're welcome.. I wasn't a big Mullen fan but didn't hate the guy and I know a lot of Gator fans weren't big fans of his either, but that Star Wars crap was so dorky and juvenile.. What was worse is Mullen got hammered by Gator fans for being chummy with Dink-witless after the game like BFFs hugging around, then Dink stabbed him in the back with the "jackass" comments.. That is so 2 faced!
He stood up at the SEC media days and told them we weren't their rival because we "hadn't beaten them in so long" when it was their meth addled fans that were the ones making it out to be a big rivalry. We have never gotten up for that game, not even today..
He was only there for one of the wins and it was a last second FG after we led by 14 at their place with KJ making only the 2nd start of his career.. I suppose now that the Hogs have beaten the "mighty Tiggers" soundly he will get Pittman's boot surgically removed from his tookus at the ER and try to scheme up a new way to troll us at the 2022 media days..
He might want to get some better linemen, some WRs who can get open and more than a 1 man band on offense if he wants a better result next time..
You are a class act coach. You and your players. Thank you for such a great season and bringing this program back from the brink of death. If you'd ask me two years ago if we'd be at 8-4 and in every game except ONE I'd think you're crazy. We played each game as hard as we could and I really hope Georgia wins it all. Sam immediately compliments Missouri. If you watch Drinkwitz he says nothing complementary about Arkansas. Not much class in Columbia.
What I don’t get is Odom never had a losing season... and was fired for being mediocre but here’s this ‘bum’ who’s been mediocre since his hire.. Coach O don’t leave us Barry!
@@ihogz375 reminds me of when Nebraska got rid of Solich after a two 9 win seasons. They would probably commit human sacrifice for a 9 win season now.

add that to in his press conf after the game where he hardly complimented us 🤷🏼♂️🤔
And that’s what every coach does... watch any press conf... most will always and clearly compliment the other team...
I didn’t care much for this forced rivalry but this Drinkwitz is making it much more enjoyable

Coach Pittman is so classy compared to kiffin, drinkwitz, leach etc. so glad we got him at Arkansas!
Think about this. Hogs only losses were at #1 Georgia at #2/3 Alabama, at #7/8 Old Miss and the home loss to Auburn who was at the time Top 25 team. What a HUGE turnaround. Man, we will miss our seniors and Treylon and perhaps others. Thank-you!
Unfortunately Auburn wasn’t in the Top-25 the week we played them…that’s the lone loss that still hurts to think about. I had a really good feeling about the Hogs this year, and thought they could possibly get 10 wins this year, or at least 9, with the third loss coming against LSU, but we see how that all turned out. I was shocked that they didn’t beat Auburn, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out, and I know that was their 7th game without a bye. 8 wins is still an incredible season, and I hope we don’t lose any coaches, or get screwed by whoever they give us in the bowl.
Man I love Sam Pittman! What a great dude. He can gripe you out in a way that makes you feel sorry that he's having to do it.

I wanted Pittman when we were searching for a Coach in 2017. To see him have success and bring pride back to the state of Arkansas does a soul good. Protect this man at all costs!

College fans in general can turn on a coach like a fast moving wildfire, I'm really hoping that we don't do that to coach Pittman, I'd hate to see him have to go through that.

Coach is exactly right. Briles called a scared 1st half of football. It was absolutely maddening that we wouldn’t push the ball down the field! That is my only complaint. It is concerning that it took Briles until the 2nd half to actually push the ball downfield since they were loading the box. I think Pittman stepped in and made it known what the gameplan was going to be in 2nd half.
I love this man. The difference in the HOGS the last to seasons as opposed to the 2-30 team under Chad Morris is Sam has these boys playing right. They believe they can win every game and unlike in previous years they will not lay down or be scared of any team and they play hard. He is the best since Houston Nutt and I am thrilled he is with us #WPS #GOHOGS

Arkansas deserves a new year's day bowl
I had us going 10-2 beginning of the season. After the Auburn game going 8-4 just was talking about this on the Morning Rush couple weeks back…. Sky is the limit for this program in ALL Sports …. Hope we play Michigan or Notre Dame in a bowl game
10-2 was very unrealistic before the season started. Should have beaten old miss and probably Auburn. We have the right man on campus and it's looking great to be a RAZORBACK!!!!!!!

"What is the love affair that Briles has calling running plays for Johnson over and over when they don't work?"
"Why don't we send Burks deep on a first down now and then to loosen up the 8 in the box look?"
"Why do we continue throwing sideline passes that take too long to complete for 1 or 2 yards when we need 10, and most of the time result in lost yardage?"
I love coach Pittman and think he is the perfect man for the program. I just don't understand the Houston Nutt version of play calling by Briles.
