He was known as one of, if not THE best, O-line coaches in the country prior to taking the position as Arkansas' HC, and he's done more with less at UA -- enough to distinguish himself among the other elite coaches of the SEC West. Keep in mind that this is the third consecutive season in which the Razorbacks play the toughest schedule in the country, and if Arkansas manages to match or surpass last year's win total of 9 games, then it shouldn't be difficult at all to acknowledge Pittman as one of the greatest contemporary coaches Arkansas has had. #WPS

I'm not looking forward to Cincinnati being our first game. Usually, it takes Arkansas a couple of games to get in the swing of things. I mean, last year, Rice was beating us for a lot of the game. This year, we don't have the luxury of starting out with a cupcake to feel things out. We have to start out at our best. And, I really think this first game is important in setting the tone for the season. If we lose, I am thinking it will take the air out of the team, and it will take a while to get it back. I hope we come out on fire next Saturday.
@@austinteutsch I have no doubt that our coaching staff will have their team prepared and motivated for what will be one of the marquee Top-25 matchups of Week 1.
@@Michael-jw6et Sounds like your over-thinking this one a bit, although I definitely don't blame you, as Razorback fans have been conditioned to expect the worst for so many years prior to the last two. However, there's no question that our coaches and players are well aware of how they came out in last season's opener, most of which was due to sloppy play and an excessive amount of penalties. I don't expect that to happen again, especially considering where this team is at right now. I also don't think the Razorbacks would be deflated by just any loss to Cincinnati, as it would likely have to be a blow out to really take the air out of THIS team -- and that's highly unlikely. Anybody who has truly been paying close attention to this Fall camp should be able to recognize that this team has made tremendous strides, and we have so many key pieces in place. As always though, it all comes down to execution on the field, and we'll see soon enough. Regardless of whether they manage to win or lose this first matchup though, it's important not to ever put too much stock in any one game. Don't be worried either way though. #WPS

One thing I worry about is what if Arkansas goes 6-6? We would still be a top 25 team possibly, but this fan base needs to not evaluate Pitts progress by the teams record. With this schedule, Arkansas, who will beat Bama, could go 11-1, 10-2, 9-3, 8-4, 7-5, or 6-6 and it will be determined by a few points
124 teams in the FBS, and Arkansas went from having the worst coach in the country to one of the greats. I hope he stays here 100 years.

So true. Cincinnati is the real deal. They've had some 10 plus season. We've got to start strong as if this is a bowl game.
