When we bought our car last year, our choices were this Veloz, the Xpander and the BR-V gen 2. We went with the BR-V gen 2. Better ground clearance, more poweful engine and it doesnt look like hearse. 😅
i buy avanza because it is bigger inside, less weight than veloz because of rubber cludding . Avanza also less length but bigger inside than veloz.Avanza has space lagayan ng cellphone and other sa front passenger while veloz dont have. Avanza mabilis lumitaw speedometer screen than veloz speedometer from power OFF to ON.. You can try to sit inside veloz and avanza you feel the difference masikip sa veloz because of double door handle infront and wireless charging. Consume a lot of power because of too many lights inside. As safety officer Push button hand brake and wireless charger prone to accident.
We tried to get the Innova 2.8L but we ended up getting the Veloz. It's all good especially the top variant. The cons are lacking Adaptive Cruise Control and the NVH. It's a great budget family car overall. (Definitely felt weird reading my Cert of Registration as I saw Veloz being an SUV type)
For me avanza looks like a minivan, we can use it for bussiness. like kargahan ng mga cargo... goood na den ung avanza para saken kaso mas stylish and veloz para kang mayaman ang dating lalo na color black
Having ridden on a few of these new Avanzas/Velozes, I must say that it's pretty hard adjusting the rear air vents. The old Avanza's setup is much more easy to use.
Thanks for the comparison. I still love the Avanza since it just have the right amount of tech together with the analog components which for me personally is good. Kudos to Toyota to still have it.

We had a montero and a veloz sabay... We are a family of 6-7. The veloz is a lot roomier.. Under full load however, there is a slight lag with the veloz cvt. Considering it was tuned for maximum efficiency, it is understandable... However the Power Mode button negates the lag.. Good brakes (rear disc + lighter body).. But itong road noise seeping thru the cabin lng talaga ang pinaka negative niya...
That's what I keep saying about these crossover SUVs and MPVs. They might look smaller on the outside compared to pick-up truck based SUVs but once inside, there's just soo much real estate. That road noise can be a nuisance but yes, considering the price range and target market, we can give these budget options a huge pass! -Roy
@@ZigWheelsPhilippinesPPVs/pickup trucks generally have better road noise supression cause the ladder frame absorbs much of the NVH. The negative is that the same ladder frame eats space inside the cabin, specially on the 3rd row.

Para sa akin MPV at SUV hindi maganda lagyan may roof rail. Avanza at Veloz kasi kapag folded 3rd row seater 5 seater na malaki pa cargo space sa likod compare sa ertiga at brv.
I absolutely agree! The Veloz shines with the extra features and looks. For someone who wants a more subdued look or probably a blank canvas to build up from with accessories and mods, I think the Avanza would be the bet. - Roy
More people are buying the Veloz because their priority is to use it as family vehicle first due its supplementary family friendly features, while those who chose the Avanza will use it more for their businesses (like loading the products they will sell) due to its simplicity and rugged form. But if I'm looking for an MPV with around 1.2M budget I will buy the BRV which for me is not only stylish but it looks more like an SUV.
Well said, and yes the BR-V certainly has alot to say when put against the Veloz, the jury is still out and the battle is fierce! And then there's the ever popular Xpander of course. The choices are endless! - Roy
You said the avanza has a camera on the side mirror which is connected to a 360 camera & safety sense but on the rear you said only the veloz has the 360 camera capabilities so which is which?
Veloz is definitely not an SUV, that feminine MPV is too girly. The Avanza trim is more manly and definitely more spacious inside, so go for the Avanza if you are the man of the house.
Who are we to judge Veloz as an SUV when the company categorizes it? We owe the V top of the line variant and we're satisfied. It's not for a manly hold but a femme car. Anyway she has most of the key.
Coz that's just Toyota's marketing to categorize it as an SUV. Looks, features, target-market all points it to being an MPV. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter as long as the consumer is satisfied.
