Immediately after that the raiders give up raiding and decide to start helping people out. The Institute stops all unethical experimentation and starts developing ways to improve life on the wasteland. The BoS go back to being like under the Lyons' Pride. People, Synths and Ghouls now live in harmony and work together.

Yeah, I thought about that. It'd be awesome if, near the start of the game, you got exposed to a ton of rads, and slowly became a ghoul. As the game goes on, the objectives become more general and violent, until you become a completely feral ghoul

It really makes you realize how much they messed up Brick-Wall Garvey. It's a shame, because the character had potential for development. But between the lackluster voice-acting, his stupid quests and relatively uninteresting character backstory and development you end up loathing him.

...If Piper is able to *feel* the presence of dangerous levels of Radiation, she's already a form of human mutant. And if that mutation is common, wow. Talk about useful, and life-saving.
Evan Ulven Ionizing radiation that exists at immediately dangerous levels is easily detectable without advanced tools. Your skin would tingle and your mouth would feel unnaturally spongy, and at extreme levels your body would feel like it's being slowly cooked alive.
Piper isn't a mutant, she just knows what the symptoms of radiation damage are and can feel them coming on.

I love how X6 is seriously panicking over the radiation. I've never heard him show this much emotion over ANYTHING. Glad to hear him freak out tbh. He was always such a cold emotionless companion, I never much cared for him, and since his perk sucks I usually just park him all by his lonesome in Hangman's Alley, or I torture him by putting Preston Garvey in there with him. Last time I had: X6, Preston Garvey, Strong, Jezebel, and the Longs, all staying there are Hangman's Alley. In my twisted fantasy, they are living there together, like the worst Sims game ever!!!!

Are there other ghoulification mods for the other companions?
Radiation storms freak me out for some reason. If one is coming in, i fast travel the Holy heck out of there, sometimes I fail at getting away and end up eating rads. If I can't GTFO I get to the nearest inside room, of course the rad storm may still be going when you venture out. If none of these are possible find a bed or chair and wait it out, with a chair you can tell when it's over, however if you take shelter in for example the bunker in sanctuary and sleep on the mattress no matter how long you sleep ( 7 or 12 is my limit) the tail end of the rad storm will be moving out. No rads but it is still kinda unsettling how it's sunny on your left with birds chirping and on your right it's green sky and air, with lightning and metallic ( or radioactive sounding thunder?).
What the hell is Preston wearing and, more importantly, *WHY*?
