I feel the same about the parry timing. I wish it was like sekiros parry. For whatever reason some times I'll perfect parry but the next time it won't and I'm parrying at the same times....its off putting

Also in the first phase he can do that wind attack from above which is impossible to avoid if he starts doing the animation when you are close, this fight is brutal!!!
as a dex player; first face has SO many spots to add in a quick extra smack with quick-hitting weapons. I personally use the dancer's curved sword for it. most of the attacks in the first half of the first phase can allow you to get a quick light attack in, with the 2nd spin allowing the charged attack. Also his AI seems to be baitable for the spin. He sometimes does a 2nd spin and sometimes does a twirl backwards. whichever he chooses, seems to be based on your positioning compared to him. stay at a small distance straight in front of him after the first spin, to guarantee a 2nd spin attack. The small distance is the key here. Also for dex players specifically: the gun arm works wonders in this first phase. I've got this first phase down to a point where, unless I get dicked by my own greed or the AI going sudden hyper-active-offense mode, I can do it basically hitless. unfortunately, the reason I came here... never happend (the buff state in 2nd half of 2nd phase).
Wow someone actually showing you how to fight instead of spamming throwables and using motivity on top of it. Thank you so much man. Definitely a new sub here. This was awesome and helped me immensely.
My main complaint is how fast the 2nd phase is and how hard he hits. Dude idk how many attempts ended in the first 30 secs of the 2nd phase because im trying to learn parry timings. I really hope this boss was kind of a mulligan and they tighten up for later ones.
I beat him first try and didint parry at all honestly just dodge and hold block when you don’t have any choice to block not perfect parry and just keep healing and beating his ass
How are you able to get 7 heals at this point in the game? In chapter 6 you're barely able to get past Phase 2 in the P organ, and it doesnt say the next heals come in Phase 3
Phase 2 adds 1, phase 3 has one that adds 2. If you haven't reached it you've likely overlooked some quartz up to this point. Look up a guide for quartz locations. It's is entirely possible to have 7 by this point.
@@Delvirus84 I think there might've been a update that's changed this. On phase 1 and 2 I'm able to increase my pulse cells on phase 3 I'm only able to 'enhance pulse cell recovery'.
This boss took the fun out of this game for me. I really loved it to this point; all bosses were fair and doable. This one, after 40+ attempts (using specter and wishstone), is a dead end.
This is awesome. I kept getting caught with the move at 7:46 where he knocks you into the air. I keep getting him to 25% but couldn't figure out a counter to that move or when to hit the perfect guard. I'm just dodging to the left when I see his staff hit the ground.
I've noticed that motivity isn't necessarily bad, it's just because of the higher than normal stamina requirements and slow animations, by picking it you are effectively signing an agreement that you will ONLY use block rather than trying to parry
Really good guide! Would've been a lot better if he redid the run and displayed what to do when Romeo does his flame-infused combo, that's a vital part to people's struggling with this boss. Especially when all other guides I've found have beat Romeo using Spectre. I beat this boss by now, using Spectre cause I didn't know how to deal with his combo. (without spending several hours learning how to parry it.)
Good guide for phase 1, but I was searching for a boss guide specifically for the waterfowl dance. So the answer is just to be extremely lucky and have him not even do it... cool...
I have fear of these fights until I watch your videos. For anyone still struggling, the strat for the brotherhood (5 thermite, 5 electro, 3 shotput) for the 2nd phase is OP. I also used the spectre gem in the cube that makes them do more dmg in the 2nd phase. Think I got it 4th try, 1st try with brotherhood strat
The game has trained you to rely on The perfect block but the best way to beat the second half of the boss is to not even worry about perfect blocking. Roll to the right and then stab maybe roll twice when he glows red. I used my rapier’s blade and beat him in no time
im on it now for 7+ hours...my first time even playin soulslike game,i struggled for the first 2 bosses and get a hang of it till now,but this boss is on another lvl...

So seeing how much easier it is to read the attacks and seeing the attack patterns more clearly WITHOUT the summom...I'm gonna attempt without the summon lol
Aren’t these attacks that push you away just better dealt with by dodging in instead of guarding? In fact, I feel like you could get a lot more r1 punishes if you weren’t so set on perfect guarding everything.
You sir are a legend. Literally the first attempt after watching this video I destroyed this boss like he was nothing. Pro tip: when that massive combo comes in phase two, throw a shot put at him as he’s putting fire on the blade, it full staggers him out of it completely.
Finally beat this guy had a few wtf moments when he would sometimes switch to his phase 1 aggressive mode. He would sometimes either be about to stagger and do the scream arm flail thus resetting it or jump out of a stagger two seconds after. The stagger indicator seems like guess work sometimes cause you can still break a boss even without the white lines present. 😅
I like how every one looks for the easy mode cheese because FromSoft have taught us that's the way, but throwables aren't always the key. If it was, we could've failed the game at Parade Master
If you are having trouble perfect guarding dash to his left he almost always misses you just don't double dash cause your out of range when he has an opening after his chain of swings kind a tough to train yourself not to double dash especially when you panic dash
your rng is amazing he didnt even do his big flame attack that gets me every damn time...i wanted to see how to counter that...i didnt unfortunately...
Oddly, Romeo never used the grindstone fire attack on me. I beat the boss in about an hour of dying, maybe 20 tries or so. I started the Romeo battle with grindstone electric, and more or less, just fought him aggressively. I went for charged R2's every chance I got. I lucked out towards the end, with low health. He dashed at me to attack while I had one heal left. Just barely missed me, which would've killed me. And i was able to charge an R2 with bone cutting saw blade and stagger him. Then finish him with a crit 🤙🏽
God mannn I'm already like 10 attempts in only on phase 1 but also I'm super tired lol. i could tell he'd have a 2nd phase since I nearly killed him in the first few but kept messing up majorly. Might be a bit rough Edit: Next day I beat him, altho I got sick of him so decided to basically go cheeseball mode and use a spectral and throwables.. Also a tip I found that at least sorta worked for me is to keep walking left and dodging left, don't really need to perfect block many things apparently on 2nd phase.
You can throw a hit between the 2 spin attacks, even with a slow weapon. And hitting the fist in this moment is usually a critical(was using the Trident). Beware your stamina tho.
Honestly im doing it for at least 30 times, tried everything, nothing. The pairing is not syncing when I push the button, this is driving me totally insane

I'm glad, welcome to the channel.
Thank you sir, watching you is cathartic and I am pretty sure it saved my mental health 😊
@@GamingASMR_x Happy for you.
How tf are you parrying so perfectly every time
dies 100 times and you will learn all the moveset 💀💀
@@NamHoang-cf2sx shouldnt have to do it 100 times though thats just bizarre
@@jacobsnipes6244 i defeated this boss with dodge after 30-40 tries . Can’t figure out how to parry those moveset . Guess im noob lol
broo finally defeated the king..that fire attack was very annoying as shi*
I beat him on my 4th fucking try boys. I’m SO HYPED RN
How are you able to get 7 heals at this point in the game? In chapter 6 you're barely able to get past Phase 2 in the P organ, and it doesnt say the next heals come in Phase 3
Skill isue
Phase 2 adds 1, phase 3 has one that adds 2. If you haven't reached it you've likely overlooked some quartz up to this point. Look up a guide for quartz locations. It's is entirely possible to have 7 by this point.
@@Delvirus84 I think there might've been a update that's changed this. On phase 1 and 2 I'm able to increase my pulse cells on phase 3 I'm only able to 'enhance pulse cell recovery'.
His big move is literally my biggest issue, but I just call it "The Fire Dance" cuz that's basically what he's doing
Tbf you do also get to absolutely CRANK damage if you can proc staggered, in his first phase I can take him from half hp to zero once I stagger him
So the guide is basically just perfect timing on guarding.... Nice!
finally a guide for people who like the game and dont want to cheese with poison and specter
that attack romeo does in the second phase of his attacks is so fucking scary - killed me so many times.
So the answer is just to be extremely lucky and have him not even do it... cool...
I attack him when he's flaming up the blade, most of the time I get him to stop. But when I don't, it's guaranteed game over.
The only part I'm struggling with at this point is his absurd 20-hit combo bullshit when going into phase 2.
Guard Guard Guard , got it happy I came and saw there is second phase haha. Amazing video my man.
I used my rapier’s blade and beat him in no time
I’ve watched a bunch of these from you now, it’s made me start saying “guard” out loud. Weird thing is it seems to help. :P
im on it now for 7+ hours...my first time even playin soulslike game,i struggled for the first 2 bosses and get a hang of it till now,but this boss is on another lvl...
Thanks, I called a summon to get pass the first phase. Second phase went to work on him with bone saw and bramble handle. I added electricity to it also. My summon kept distracting it while i staggered it.
best lies of p guides its not even close
Audibally saying guard has helped my timing so fucking much it’s insane.
I finally beat this dude today after taking a nap
I'm gonna sleep now to hopefully recharge my batteries for tomorrow hoping to beat this with my.... dex build (first gameplay)
@@valeriobarone what i did was used the coil stick no modded handle or anything and then for the specter gave him the electric blitz and used right at the beginning then just spammed attacked him then the second phase i just threw everything
@@jacobsnipes6244 ahahaha I'm Italian so idk the Italian translation for those weapon but I will tryy best and honestly I messed up my build going for a dex build
Literally just got on the second phase of Romeo and the first moves he use is the fiery thing that I don’t know how I survived until the last slash.
I love playing calm and relaxing games
Very, very relaxing
This series has been helpful.
It was only after this boss that I decided checked my vigor. Is having only 500hp for the boss normal?
How do you have 7 heals at this point?
Same thing I said, I only have five
So seeing how much easier it is to read the attacks and seeing the attack patterns more clearly WITHOUT the summom...I'm gonna attempt without the summon lol
Aren’t these attacks that push you away just better dealt with by dodging in instead of guarding? In fact, I feel like you could get a lot more r1 punishes if you weren’t so set on perfect guarding everything.
The one move he didnt do is the one i actually needed to see how you handle 😭
Cant believe they swapped solid snake with raiden
You sir are a legend. Literally the first attempt after watching this video I destroyed this boss like he was nothing. Pro tip: when that massive combo comes in phase two, throw a shot put at him as he’s putting fire on the blade, it full staggers him out of it completely.
Got stuck on him for an hour. Couldn't get the human version to second phase. Watched this and beat him my next attempt. Here, have a follow. 😊
Only an hour??
@@RobertoRuiz08yeah. That first phase was hella easy but Romeo kept killing me before I could hit him once so I looked up a guide lol
@@EdwardLornman I've been literally for 6 hours straigtj
Finally beat this guy had a few wtf moments when he would sometimes switch to his phase 1 aggressive mode. He would sometimes either be about to stagger and do the scream arm flail thus resetting it or jump out of a stagger two seconds after. The stagger indicator seems like guess work sometimes cause you can still break a boss even without the white lines present. 😅
I gave in after 5 tries and brought a Spector. Beat the boss in under 2 minutes. We just murdered the dude
This boss was super easy for me, I didn't even watch your guide, I just wanted to see how you defeated him, it was fun though
Honestly was super tricku but using a spectre these tricks and a lightning grinder done the job thanks!
I like how every one looks for the easy mode cheese because FromSoft have taught us that's the way, but throwables aren't always the key. If it was, we could've failed the game at Parade Master
you had amazing RNG for the second phase
If you are having trouble perfect guarding dash to his left he almost always misses you just don't double dash cause your out of range when he has an opening after his chain of swings kind a tough to train yourself not to double dash especially when you panic dash
your rng is amazing he didnt even do his big flame attack that gets me every damn time...i wanted to see how to counter that...i didnt unfortunately...
I counted about 142 attacks from this boss. When do I get to play?
If only we were all that good at perfect guarding.
I can't even consistently get past the first boss with even just one heal... I don't see myself beating this shit anytime soon
Who ever came up with second phases is pure evil, like they just got lazy and lets slap on another phase
Thanks for the vid!!! Got him on my first try thanks to you!!
GG!
On my second attempt with a stalker, don’t judge me I have never played a souls game before.
God mannn I'm already like 10 attempts in only on phase 1 but also I'm super tired lol. i could tell he'd have a 2nd phase since I nearly killed him in the first few but kept messing up majorly. Might be a bit rough
Edit: Next day I beat him, altho I got sick of him so decided to basically go cheeseball mode and use a spectral and throwables.. Also a tip I found that at least sorta worked for me is to keep walking left and dodging left, don't really need to perfect block many things apparently on 2nd phase.
Bro wtf is this boss just 4 hours of pure grind
Using blits is super helpful on the second half during romeo
Would you recommend the weapon you’re using to a player like me who’s playing as path of the bastard?
You can throw a hit between the 2 spin attacks, even with a slow weapon. And hitting the fist in this moment is usually a critical(was using the Trident). Beware your stamina tho.
Even if this room you 100 tries, you made it look good
Honestly im doing it for at least 30 times, tried everything, nothing. The pairing is not syncing when I push the button, this is driving me totally insane
