Was looking to buy a leg extension/leg curl machine from Sydee Fitness, but this thing looks like a beast, and the accessories that do the same in a smaller space for a great deal makes me want to size up and see if I can maybe switch racks instead. My man it’s been a while and as always your reviews are on point. I checked the Mikolo web site and they have the 3x3 made out of 12 gauge steel instead 14 gauge. The 12 gauge steel makes the rack heavier which explains why the rack weighs in at 200 pounds. Overall great review on this product. 👍🏾👍🏾
I specifically contacted them about that and they should be updating it at some point. I was told directly from Mikolo that the Amazon and Walmart listings are correct and it's 14 gauge. It's good to hear from you man. Thanks for continuing to support my channel with these views.
@@UsawaFitness My brother thanks for update on the gauge of steel. At 91 inches high I can why it weighs 200 lbs. In fact a company by the of GetRXD makes a 3x3 14 gauge power cage called the “Goliath” weighs in at 200 lbs. All the best my brother.
I just bought this exact mikolo power cage, and i can confirm that it is 12 gauge. I measured with a digital caliper on a spot with no raised edges or burrs and it measured 2.29mm thick.
@@rreeser3271 Thanks for the reply. The measurement of 2.29 mm when converted comes up 13 gauge. 12 gauge according to the mm conversion to gauge steel is 2.6. Still a great value and a heavy rack to have. Enjoy your purchase and thanks for sharing.
This rack seems like the best deal out there for a standard power cage design + attachment ecosystem given the price, don't see much reason to spend more if what's available here covers your needs. Personally, I just wish they had a functional trainer option with dual adjustable pulleys and independent weight stacks (or plate-loaded) rather than just a single lat pulldown + low row cable system. Also, I need some sort of smith machine option to complete the rack. Basically, if Mikolo combined their latest M4 Gen 5 with this P5R and kept the price about the same they'd have the perfect rack for me. I went with the M4 specifically because I needed the dual functional trainer and smith machine and it's honestly fantastic, but it would be nice to have a 3" x 3" rack with 1" holes and 2" spacing like the P5 has rather than the 2" x 2" with 100mm (3.94") hole spacing the M4 has for futureproofing.
Honestly I think they are the best new company for people like you and I who are looking for quality equipment at a good price and I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped the design you're looking for. I'm sticking with these two pieces. I feel like I've got more then I even need at this point.

Hi can the lat pull down fit in other one inch hold rack
I doubt it. It's built for that cage and I wouldn't expect it to be and to go on a third party cage.
