Such a great idea. Also good for hanging up Magnus Mouse's sweaters in a little mousey wardrobe. Perhaps a shoe box wardrobe with a piece of dowel for a rail.
Another idea is two strings of “Livsar” lights sold at Ikea. Each string has 12 balls. They look like balls of yarn, adorable for hanging 24 little advent sweaters, one sweater on each lighted ball.
Message for Arne. The notches in the sides of the pivot of the pliers is especially designed to cut wire such as those coat hangers. Open the pliers until the notches are aligned, slot the wire in, squeeze the pliers closed. It will neatly cut the wire. Try it!
My aunt crocheted covers for hangers.I don’t have them any longer but might try to make some for myself. Thanks for the hanger making lesson - very helpful.
Where were you two when my grandfather made a number of hangers for the doll clothes my mother made my doll for a fabulous Christmas gift 63 years ago when I was 7? I remember that as if yesterday. I loved my beautiful doll with her wardrobe that neatly hung in the minature trunk made by my grandfather.
Arne and Carlos I love the little hangers. Just doing the turtle neck on my first little jumper, your timing for hanging ideas is perfect. Please pet Freya and Helmer for me
These hangers are adorable! I love them! But, the big but..... I am more fascinated by your sweaters. I can't get over how beautiful they are. Do the people in your country wear this type of sweater? I am not a world traveler but we did go to Ireland. I can remember thinking that everyone would be wearing Aran knit cable sweaters. I love them so much and have a nice collection. To my surprise, nobody wore them! That burst my bubble. I always managed to relieve the country of quite a few! I packed less so I could bring several home with me. My sweaters would wind up in everybody's suitcase besides mine! There was a lot of sitting on the suitcases too to get them to close!😄😁😆🤣😂 !!! I am a sweater junkie!
OMGOODNESS WHEN I WAS A CHILD I HAD A WOODEN TUBE WITH THE FOUR HOOKS ON TOP AND A LITTLE STICK THAT I WOULD MAKE THE SAME THING … I MADE CARPETS FOR MY DOLL HOUSE 🏠…… THANK YOU FOR BRINGING BACK MEMORIES ❤️🙏🧶….. I STILL HAVE IT 🎊
Love the hangers, and i cord machine. I just received my shipment of your Rowen yarn, and Alpaca dk for my pillow squares. I need to order your red yarn now. Thank you for all the inspiration! You kept me going through the worst of the pandemic, and I can’t thank you enough for that. I’m still knitting squares between projects💕
I’m almost set for Advent lift off-I have the pattern and the Norwegian yarn kit and just ordered the I-cord maker. The grandkids will be cranking out the I-cord this Christmas season.
Great idea 💡!!! Thanks so much. Need to get the knitting mill soon! It is great to be part of the family. PS. YOU ACTUALLY KEPT TO (almost) 15 minutes. Ha ha
I love the little hangers! I never thought of the I chord. I hand knit I chords . I suppose that could work. Thank you . Your sweaters are great. As always both of you look great.
Just loving the little hangers! What a cool thing to have the I-cord machine. Your episodes are wonderful and you are family to us here in Northern Virginia!!
Love these. I might make the neck of the hanger longer and twist the hook part of the hanger so that when hung, you would see the sweater straight on. I love watching Arne’s hands work. So much talent there.
Arne, I love how you know the colloquial word 'wonky', but sometimes struggle over a more unusual English word, which you would be expected to struggle with.
I love your sweaters of this day!…especially the blue!!! My friend and I are hoping our favorite local yarn store will stock up on your new line of Rowan yarns. I Want that blue!💖💖💖
I think I'll use the small clothespins. I'm planning on making mine for the 2022 Christmas and will start the sweaters after I'm done with my gift knitting.
@Cary Canli - Hi neighbor!! I'm from Massachusetts! Funny that we meet while watching a podcast across the globe! Hope u & ur family r well! Happy Holidays to u & urs !!🎁🎄🧶🎄🎁
@@karenh9337 Hello Massachusetts ! Where are you in MA? I am in Westerly...I really enjoy watching Arne & Carlos...we have a shortage of knit shops here so it's great to order their Rowan yarn...a very happy holiday season to you and your family...Merry Christmas ! If you are ever in the area, let me know...we can meet and exchange knitting info !
Just have one more sleeve to do to finish the first jumper. They are fun and the i-cord and hanger idea is great. I'm not sure how I will display mine yet but I have a long way to go so lots of time to think about it. Love the sweaters you are wearing today.
I love the patterns for these Advent sweaters. I will hang them on the greenery on my mantel starting December 1st. But, after Christmas, I plan to turn the sweaters around so the numbers don't show. That way they will be winter decorations for January and February. I have already bought miniature clothespins with snowflakes on them, but I will do the hangers for Christmas 2022! Thank you for letting all of us into your home during this pandemic. It has been such a joy getting to know both of you via UA-cam.
I love Christmas too Arne! It's my favorite time of the year, always has been. I'm getting a late start this year though. I'm off to get my mini sweater patterns and I decided I need a new Christmas stocking too. I may need a mouse, and maybe a poodle.....
For a second I thought you had tie hangers there. Was thinking I haven't seen them in green. But then Arne started and you cranked on the I chord. Brilliant idea. And it was almost the right amount of time, you get the hang of the 15 minutes there! Thanks for the video.
Super cute! It's a very clever idea. Your channel really is a lovely place to be & it's so fun to realize how many of my friends from other places also watch your videos!
Those hangers are so cute! Perfect for the jumpers. True story: when I was a kid living at home, my mom came upon some method of braiding yarn around wire hangers, so I spent some time braiding those hangers. I still have some! Mom did crochet around wooden hangers and I have a couple of those also. I love the i-cord to cover--great idea!
Cracking idea those hangers...I think I would thread the i cord through the sleeves of the little sweaters and hang them up like bunting.... and make the i cord with glittery yarn.... My hand are to far gone to do the wire bending...
Hi from BC, Canada. Love the podcast. As I was watching it my husband's Swedish grandma came to mind. She had a very strong accent when she spoke english, but if she was was watching Arne she would have said he was a "very smart cookie" She loved this saying.
Such a good idea, especially when you upcycle old things.Thats the way of the futur to save our planet!
Who are those people disliking this video? Probably not very creative themselves. Love the little hangers.
I like the look of the little hangers for the jumpers. You folks have much nicer wire hangers then we do here in the USA.
Yes I noticed that the wire looks sturdier then what we have here in Australia. The wire hangers here are mostly used at dry cleaners.
I love that you are recycling these hangers. And another use for icord, bonus points!
👍

The sweaters you are both wearing are GORGEOUS!
Thank you Barbara!
Love the thought about covering full size metal hangers with i-cord. Great way to use leftover yarn..... Thanks again.
How clever you fellows are! How cute. They would work for doll clothes also. Thank you. Wonderful seeing you both.
The little hangers are so wonderful. Absolutely perfect for the wee jumpers!
Message for Arne. The notches in the sides of the pivot of the pliers is especially designed to cut wire such as those coat hangers. Open the pliers until the notches are aligned, slot the wire in, squeeze the pliers closed. It will neatly cut the wire. Try it!
The hangers are adorable! I am loving the knitting the sweaters with the Norwegian wool! It knits up beautifully! You guys are geniuses!
My aunt crocheted covers for hangers.I don’t have them any longer but might try to make some for myself. Thanks for the hanger making lesson - very helpful.
You are welcome
You two have a huge collection of sweaters ,they are so beautiful and you look nicely coordinated today…..
Wow! A mechanical french knitter! Wonderful
Arne is “cleaning” again, as in making new projects out of stuff in the house…and I LOVE IT!!! A very fun new project. Thank you! ❤️
Great idea for leftover yarn and turning ugly wire hangers into something pretty! ❤
Cute ideas with the sweater and hangers 😊🇨🇦
Thank you!❤
Cool idea for repurposing those terrible metal hangers. Love all your ideas. Thank you both x

Hangers look lovely. It really finishes the jumpers. Beware of hooking up your eyes Arne with all the excitement of cutting the wire. 😛

The numbers are on both sides😊
I just finished one. Thanks for the idea. But I first covered the metal with the i-cord and then made the hanger. Really easy.
Love the hangers I’m making crochet ones. ❤️
