Years ago I painted a motorcycle tank using a truck tire for an air caddy. I think it took about 4 trips to the gas station to refill the tire. Of course this was when air was free and every station had an air pump powered by a real compressor

El grosor de la plancha con la que esta hecho el tanque no es tan grande y sólo te permite algunos hilos de rosca. Eso con la presión interior pudiera convertirse en dos proyectiles, pero si le suerdas dos buenas tuercas le da mayor agarre.

When you have the sand running through a gate valve you must have 100% open or closed no half way otherwise the sand will burn out the valve in a short time !
Your sand flow needs to be reduced, most blasters accomplish this with a valve or orifice to size. The thickness of the tank metal has very few threads I would suggest a threaded weldon bushing so that you could get full thread contact.
Quick question: What is the reason for making air enter the tank at the top AND at the bottom using the tee-fittings? Is that so some of the air from the top fitting pushes the sand out the bottom hole....and then some of the air from the bottom fitting pushes the sand out to the nozzle?
Can you please send a parts list for those used to make this? Since you have done this would you do anything different as far as changing any parts or just anything completely different nat all? Thank you.

That's the problem with not using real grit! Play sand is for playing with; it's not very hard or sharp, so it takes a long time to clean the material! I think it's worth the time to make a box too, so it doesn't make a mess, and you can recycle the grit.
Works well. But the metal parts at the business end (nozzle) will wear out quickly. Better off with a ceramic nozzle at the end of the hose with no moving parts. Nice build though apart from that.
Под баллоном может должен стоять ещё кран подачи песка??? Много песка в смеси из пистолета, так песка ненапасёшься... Расход большой.... Да и разгона для смеси мал...
Предлагаю заменить название на "Как не надо делать пескоструйный аппарат". Регулятор давления даром не нужен, нужен влагоотделитель. Большая подача песка, нужен вентиль для регулировки.

first off, is that a _waterhose_ you are using? second, you are waaaaay pnaumatically under pressure when it pulses like that. While this design will work there is a huge issue with safety and weare based on the components. Use correct tubing, use a tank that is made for _high pressure_, and get the right air to sand mix.

So the sand becomes a liquid
Air at the top will push the sand down towards the bottom outlet. Air at the bottom will mix and give momentum to the sand as it comes out.

you can use the ceramic stem from a spark plug as a cheap nozzle
Good idea but you did not show into us the source of the air that push the sand.it is an incomplete detail if a mini sandblasting equipment.
