How would this pattern change if you wanted to knit in the round? I know that there wouldn't be a wrong side to purl. What would you do instead on the even rows?
Knit all stitches on the even rows.

Tried, but the whole blanket came out crooked, after tried to get it strait, had to undo the whole thing and do in another pattern... too bad was not said on your instructions. :(
I love the pattern. However, when you say ssk doesn’t mean slip an stick knit wise. If so why do you get them together with the next stitch than. Or do I read the instruction wrong?🙏🏻
SSK is a decrease. You slip two stitches knit-wise and then knit them together through the back loop. Hope this helps clear things up.
Do you know which yarn was used for this? I've tried a few different kinds with different sizes but none of them have come out as clean as in the video

I do not like silent videos either
There are many more out there but I like the silent ones with subtitles its the same as reading a patter with bonus demo.
