Easily the best tutorial on UA-cam. Too many people really overcomplicate tying a tie for no reason. The main thing here to emphasize as well is when you wrap the larger end over the smaller end, make sure that your larger end is angled upwards before you run it under to start the knot.
Right. I hate looking up a refresher or article and it's a half hour on 10 different ways and the history of ties.
I'm a transgender male not out to my family, so I've never worn a tie in my life until now, and my father never taught me. I did it right and now I cannot refrain from smiling. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
That's awesome dude! I'm an enby in the closet :)
1:29 When I pull the narrow end of the tie it becomes longer than the wide end wtf

Tuck it into your shirt
Start with the short end higher up

by far the most helpful video on tying a tie. thanks, guy.
Its crazy how this vid has impacted so many people's lives
The internet is indeed a magical place 😊
Been wearing ties 45 yrs. Have always tied them around a bedpost(or my thigh), perhaps several times until I get the knot absolutely perfect. Then I just hang it up, already tied, put it on by slipping it over my head. All my ties are hanging that way in my closet, ready for instant use. I only untie them for cleaning & pressing.
I have to wear them every day for work (finance stuff) so I do the same, as do lawyers and bankers I know haha
As a female, I have never had a tie, but I've worn a lot of my father's ties. I usually wear the ones that he's already tied, but this time I chose one that wasn't tied and you helped a lot. Thank you.
What an amazing tutorial. Took me one watch, one quick pause and two attempts. Did it in a minutes time. Thank you so much
