That's due to the Omen Stance as well. I haven't tested it yet but I'm sure it happens after you connect with an Omen Stance attack and tag to Heihachi (since you need him to trigger the stance in the first place)

I also hate the new Jin moveset from Tekken 4, since his characterization took a heavy hit too. That's not fit for Jin, the Mishima-Kazama fightning style was the point of his character.
I think its cause Jin is using his Devil Gene Powers in his Omen Stance and since he hasn't mastered using it yet (he can't even transform yet) it has negative side effects on him, or better yet, The Kazama Blood is rejectIng the Devil Gene

Yes, for some reason Jun/Kazuya blocking the omen attacks suffer the most guard damage, while if Heihachi or Devil blocks the attacks, they're just pushed away with no damage, even Jin cancels that move and doesn't receive self damage.
Exactly, anyone suffers guard damage, even though delayed because he did the transformation, that is comparable to Tagging out, if they're hit while they're tagging out it's possible to get damaged.
Incase people didnt know in Tekken Tag 2 if you omen stance as Jin with Heihachi on the team with a special input his moves goes back to Tekken 3 until you slip up a combo or get hit lol
This is the real Jin, that uses Mishima style Karate, not the emo karate kid from Tekken 4. I miss this Jin, even character wise, he was the hero of Tekken, not a badly written "antihero"

So I took note of certain things during the family fight with Kazuya, but I didn't really catch what made Kazuya kill over the second round.

Incase people didnt know in Tekken Tag 2 if you omen stance as Jin with Heihachi on the team with a special input his moves goes back to Tekken 3 until you slip up a combo or get hit lol
you don't go back to T3's moveset you just can use some of the above used Omen attacks, as well a couple of Mishima moves like Flash Punch combo.

Plot twist: this game relased in 1999 and the graphics are not bad at all.

진이 금강체 쓰고 조후 시 특정 기술을 쓰면 자기가 해를 입는 기술이에요. 카즈야나 준 처럼 특정 캐릭터에게만 가드 대미지가 있고, 여튼 재밌는 기술이기는 합니다. :)
