    Bonus points for no lofty, pointless introduction 😂

    You saved me $100 and 4 weeks of waiting at my local sewing machine repair shop! Your video was informative, entertaining, and had just the right amount of detail to get the job done. An hour ago I had no idea how the inside of a sewing machine worked. Now, thanks to your help, I have a better understanding of the device...and more importantly my sewing machine's timing is back on track! My daughter will be thrilled that her sewing machine works again. Thanks so much!

    Oh I'm lost again. Finally I'm getting to this. I've got all the screws apart and organized. I can't for the life of me pull it apart without feeling like I'm going to break something.😢 Is there a key area from which I can get it apart safely? Is there a position the wheel should be in? Or should the part on top that holds the loading bobbin be to the right or left as you face the front of the machine or...? Thanks.

    • @MarcelJoel
      @MarcelJoel  Рік тому +1

      I am going to have to make a video showing details on how to take it apart ..if you remove all the screws and the knob , you can use a plastic pryer to go around the crack to unsnap the machine apart. If it doesn’t come off easy, you are missing a screw somewhere. Look carefully.

      I am not getting the bobbin tray to even move. The timing is off only miniscule, but enough to not catch the top tray. Your video shows how to lose the bolt to move said tray, but not how to move the tray. Manually moving it is having the needle dropping down at the same time. I am not understanding how to fix this.

    I have the same machine and the needle is hit on the metal teeth, what can I do to fix it

    • @MarcelJoel
      @MarcelJoel  4 роки тому +1

      Use a Philips screwdriver. While the machine is actually facing you , right on the back of the machine in order words on the other side of the top needle assembly, there is a single Philips screw there; If you screw it in or unscrew that actual screw , that would move the top needle assembly towards you or away from you. That’s exactly how you position that top needle assembly exactly where it needs to be, so it won’t hit those metal teeth.

    • @MarcelJoel
      @MarcelJoel  4 роки тому

      If you look at my video when I turn the machine around , there are screws on the side of the machine that I touch and there is one single screw that I didn’t touch , and that screw is close to the top needle assembly , that screw is the one that will move the assembly back and forth for you.

      Is it a new machine you can return it and get another one or you can go through the process of calibrating it. I am about to post a video soon on how to open the machine step by step and close it back up .

      Buy a soldering iron with some solder.
      Solder a screwdriver into the screw in order to remove each screw. You will have to solder and de solder the screw driver each time…that’s a lil painful process but it should remove those screws. Look It up online on how to solder

      @@MarcelJoelThanks my dad figured out a way. It is still down though. The timing adjustment won't stay. So something else is wrong with it. • @NANA-ge2xx
      @NANA-ge2xx 2 роки тому

      @@MarcelJoel After having checked the straight stitch that it works as you did with the sock, you must always check at the zig zag stitch, if the thread gets tangled or does not cling there is a disturbance, the adjustment is done at the needle bar, not at the hook. From that you make an adjustment you must check everything to also look if the feed teeth go up or down well at the same time as the needle goes up and down and does not touch the plate or the bobbin case. Although Brother make entry-level machines with affordable prices, disassembly, cleaning and access to make adjustments are easier, and users do not need to go to a technician and pay

      Open it again, when you align the silver piece at the bottom with the top needle, I want you to manually operate the top needle to see from yourself if it picks the thread 🧵up without hitting the bobbing case. Keep adjusting the bobin case and the top needle until it does pick the thread 🧵 up like it supposed to.
