Wendy would have done a WAY better job! Such a big fan, interest in doing the project not just winning. Most of them thought of how they could get their foot in the door and get a chance to launch their career while not really caring about the video itself. Also she had that need of getting out of town like (I think) all KoЯn members had and said in interviews. Leaving the shitty boring town was their goal and music helped them get out of there. I dunno, so much in common I think.
One of the greatest Korn songs, given to somebody who didn't like Korn and didn't understand the music. Too bad they didn't get a good director for this video.
Wrong, dumbass. According to his LinkedIn page he has directed over two dozen videos including music videos for artists such as GHOST COP, Public Memory, Jokers of the Scene and more
when i hear this song i have a music video rundown on my head: JD walking up a seemingly endless staircase at the beginning, then, when he says "these feelings will be gone!" he finds the top of the building and jumps off. during the chorus and main riff its him falling while singing and seeing parts of his life flash before him. then during the ballad, its his funeral.his family and band is there. and he is looking down crying. the song ends with him landing and being thankful to be alive
I will always feel bad for this guy that won. not only did the band's manager and the editor treat him like crap (the manger part isn't surprising), but even Fieldy did. he came off as a total toolbag for that. the other 4 guys were cool to him, especially Jon. yeah, he made some mistakes, but the dude put out a great video.
@@GaryTongue-zn5di yeah, David said that Fieldy always acted like he was some gangster tough-guy and treated people like shit. crew members put up with it for the sake of their job but laughed at him behind his back.
PART Se7en of 7 is GONE!! dont watch all six then get to seven and NOPE its "blocked" Go Mae sure 7 of 7 works for you BEFORE you do like i did and watched all 6 and then NO part SE7EN!!!!!
They should’ve picked literally ANYONE else. The lawyer chick or the kid would’ve made a video a million times better than the bullshit reality tv concept they went with. I bet MTV execs stepped in to pick that dude.
I made a treatment for this too but got lost in the shuffle of thousands that also did lol... I remember watching this and thinking, man... they picked the biggest douche. he didnt know shit about the band, didnt even listen to them, defeating the purpose entirely. He was a total tool the entire time to boot. The video was incredibly lame, no fault of the band. Still love this song to this day tho
This video was a flop...bad judgment on the puppetmasters part, not so much korns. True talent comes from middle america or the west coast or Texas or something...avoid NY as much as possibe! Hell look at Pdiddy.
I remember this when it came out, last gasp of MTV being cool
Love Korn cause life hasent been easy and they are my therapist
Adelheid Sharryer hasn't*

Many people actually liked this video and this was done to give someone a chance at the job...fan or not.
@@Anonymous-mm1szexcept Fieldy literally said they wanted to give it to a fan in the first few minutes.
But I don't mind the video.
This past wave in life feels like a century ago. My god have things changed.
And the guy they chose never directed again
Really? That's hilarious. Probably thought it was gonna be a walk in the park type of job when that's not the case for any video
Wrong,dumbass.

7:06 Munky's face is priceless : ) lol
Munky and Jon make the most funny faecs at times.
UncleJohn72 faecs?
They should have picked the girl from Georgia who was actually a real fan, she would have done fine.
thank you so much for uploading this. i've seen it once when it originally aired and i have always tried to find it.
How lucky that someone happened to be filming that guy with a video camera when Korn called him.

Fieldy is a self admitted Bully. He even Bullied Jonathan Davis himself.

They never should have picked a non Korn fan. They just don't know.
6:11 pick up the papers
Did MTV pick the winner....................?
why korn did not choose the finalist like with the Issues cover?
+ZIz zZzz (ZIZ) probably is cuz just way too much stuff for them to sift thru.

6:09 funny

Uh... did they really put "Closet Freak" by Cee-Lo Green in an MTV treatment with Korn?
Connor Steele No. You were imaging things you idiot.
Head was so methed out
Yep, he was just a bit f*cked up around this time and when they recorded TALITM a year later he was even worse and hit rock bottom :(
