Sorry for your personal loss. May his memory be a blessing. I admire his work here and I can only imagine the impact of his profound loss to the professional community. I come back to this audio when I’m seeking reminders on how to provide meaningful feedback to students. This is an outlier due to the masterful execution, but it is a great look at how to provide constructive feedback to even the best performers.

Rest In Peace to Joe Allison, a man who truly loved this activity with all of his being. Some great quotable nuggets from this tape:
“I almost said the F word, GOD that’s impressive...F for phenomenal, right?”
“If you can connect like that for the rest of this, it’ll be a picnic on a sunny day.”
“When you’re playing this game, every ounce is a pound.”
And my favorite: “Someday, I’ll tell you why this touches me so much...and 99.9% of it is you, of course.”
Thank you for all your contributions to this activity Joe!

just wish they'd get finals out of a dome...sound is so muddy (especially percussion). their final audio recordings are cleaned up, but it's bad in person. I've been to only 2 finals in Indy and it's my least favorite place to listen to a show -- so much more clarity of sound when the venue is outside... without the bounce. I believe its on youtube somewhere still try just looking it up one here. If you haven't been able to find it it was probably taken down.
