Mew has been studying English since she was in year 1. For me, she's most like a native speaker.
In my case, i started learning English when i was in year 6.i don't, however, being exposed to an English environment. We only practiced the language during our English classes. whats more, we didn't have to speak in the Classes, which leads to students lacking of confidence while they are communicating and thus stuttering.
Thanks to your videos, i have got my English improved awful a lot! i wish i can also get a band 8 in my speaking test too :)

Hi Eli! I just want to say thanks to you and your videos! I took my IELTS last Sunday, got the results today, and bagged an overall band 6.5! I know for some people it's not high enough but I didn't do any thorough reviews and practice before the exam, I just play and listen to your vids all day while I'm working and it really helped a lot! Especially in writing! I could have done better if I took it seriously. I only needed an overall band 5.5 to study in Melbourne that's why I didn't really go hard on preparing. But next time, I would really prepare for it. I played most of your mock speaking videos and tried answering them with my own words. The night before the exam, I just watched and listened to your "How to write introduction.." and the writing activity with the process diagram and sample task 2 question over and over for like 6 hours. I also studied the different types of questions. Again, thanks heaps Eli! Keep doing what you do! Continue helping a lot of people through this channel and your website!

Great question Pallavi. There are different approaches to this. Here are two approaches/ tips that might help you. 1. Practice makes perfect: start by talking to people you feel comfortable with, then little by little, step out of your comfort zone and begin to talk about topics you are less familiar with with people you don't know so well. 2. Start by messaging people in English. Apps like Facebook and HelloTalk can help you get a language partner that you send messages to. This is often less intimidating than face-to-face talking but will help you improve your language skills to the point that you feel more confident talking in English.

Asking if their is any choice to choose the topic in test 2 speaking?
You cannot choose the topic in Part 2 (or any other part)! The examiner will randomly select a topic for you.
I did my IELTS test in Canada and disappointed. I think getting high scores in Canada is much more difficult than other countries such as UK 🇬🇧
