This and the newer 'Last Days of Humanity' that came out earlier this year are probably my favorite grind releases of 2021 thus far. This new Full Of Hell does not disappoint! Nasty AF!
Necrotic Nick- I honestly haven't picked up as many new grind releases this year but this one definitely stands out as one of the heaviest albums I've listened to this year. It's just flat out insane but really well put together.
My favorite album of 2019 was “Weeping Choir” sooooo, actually haven’t really, really absorbed. Heard the very second it dropped came out. And here we are. This was a good preemptive strike for the assault I’m 100% on board, HUGE FoH fan. Thx guyz 🤘🏾
love Full Of Hell, they manage to pull things from so many extreme genres and make it into a giant rotting audio mass. one of the best modern bands imo
Necrotic Nick- They're easy one of the most intense bands I've ever listened to and I definitely need more of their albums in my collection.
I just got my shirt yesterday and thank you
Necrotic Nick- Not a problem, man! Thank you for buying one!
@@thrallsofmetal you welcome
Loving the album reviews guys! Subscribed and looking forward to more. Cheers!
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Welcome aboard!
Love that your review is almost as long as the album \m/
Necrotic Nick- Honestly, I didn't even think of that. lol
Excellent review but honestly I’m so jealous of Jon’s shirt that I can barely focus on what’s being said. Excellent taste in attire, my good man *chef kiss*
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! I believe he got that one when we saw them with Voivod, Revocation, Psycroptic and Conjuror a couple of years ago. Skeletal Remains had an incredible set.
I have my copy on order cuz my local record store is whack and didn't get it on release day. I celebrate Full Of Hell's entire catalog. I saw them headline once and they played less than 20 minutes. That was a bummer but it was rad while it lasted.
Necrotic Nick- I mean, I'm pretty sure they could get a lot of sonic destruction done in under 20 mins. lol. This was actually the first Full of Hell album I've ever bought. I'd been meaning to snag their other releases but I kept putting it off. I'm definitely back on the hunt though.
You should review Confess's new album, Revenge At All Costs, when it drops on January 21st. It will be the band's first album since fleeing from Iran to Norway.
Necrotic Nick- What did you think of this album, Robert?
Oh how did I miss this review?! Love Full of Hell, I say no bad words about them
Necrotic Nick- I think the sonic force of this album gave me a concussion. It was that heavy. lol
Love it!!
Seen them live a few years back, and it was OK. I'll check this.
Necrotic Nick- I'd like to see this madness live at some point.
Love powerviolence!!
Definitely check these guys out live if you get the chance. Their performance is insanely intense and brings a whole new perspective to their music imo.
Necrotic Nick- I think I have to see them live in order to really appreciate this stuff. It's just so musically unhinged I can imagine the live show is just nuts.
I saw Steven Adler former Drummer of Guns and Roses at Desil concert lounge last night his band is called Adler Appetite and they were awesome
Digging this record. I think I was a bigger fan of weeping choir but I’ll have to give this a few more listens . Reeking tunnels channeled stuff like Unsane , and even a bit of melvins. Definitely a different sound for them. I think the production on this one is just a bit too muddled. I prefer to hear All the weirdness they’re doing haha.
Necrotic Nick- I need to get those previous albums and really sit down with them honestly. This was the first one I ever sat down and listened to front to back and I really ended up digging it. I love stuff like Nails and Pig Destroyer but this is even beyond that as far as out right aggression and atmosphere. Reeking tunnels was definitely a stand out for me.
@@thrallsofmetal “Trumpeting Ecstasy “ is the one I would listen to if you want the height of their nastiness , but more audibility/legibility with the riffs and ideas
I experienced them live years ago during the Trumpeting Ecstasy tour and it was VERY intense. The venue was very small and so it was the crowd, maybe 40 people at the beginning. I don't know how many of us were at the end 😂 The most intense concert I've been apart from this one was a Dying Fetus one and Full of Hell is MILES away in aggressiveness. Very nice dudes by the way, they stayed at the bar and drank some beers with the public.
Necrotic Nick- I can only imagine what this would be like live. This is like leaving Pandora's Box open for 20 mins straight. lol. I think Nails still has to be my most intense show but now I have to see Full of Hell live after this one.
@@thrallsofmetal Dylan Walker's energy is a mix between Greg Puciato and Barney Greenway. Nails is more "in your face" and Full of Hell is more cerebral... It's hard to explain. They're a different kind of extreme. Highly recommended but beware of the mosh pits, they get far too intense (at least for and old fart like me LOL)
Who doesn't love a bit of Full of Hell. I think these guys are heavily influenced by Man Is The Bastard. Need to listen more to this latest one.
Necrotic Nick- I still need to dive into more powerviolence bands but this was pretty cool honesty. I liked the absolutely insane levels of aggression on this and just how caustic the whole album sounds.
@@thrallsofmetal Second thoughts, there is probably a heavier Bastard Noise influence (the post MITB project). Btw, stoked about the success you guys are having.
You going to review new Ministry?
Necrotic Nick- It'll be up tomorrow, bro.
Huh I’ve never heard of these guys. I’ll have to check this album out later.
Necrotic Nick- This is a pretty insane and cathartic listen.
I saw them together with Immolation. It was something else. But not really my cup of tea. Still have to listen to this album. Maybe that will change my opinion.
Necrotic Nick- Man, that's an odd pairing but I'd see Immolation with anyone honestly. I'd give it a jam. I think you'll know if it's for or not by the end of the album.
It’s definitely a good album better than weeping choir. But I like the Merzbow Collab and Trumpeting Ecstasy more
Necrotic Nick- I need to go back and jam those other albums to really get a better feel for this batshit crazy band.
This album kinda reminds me of when i first heard Brutal Truths Need to Control album when it came out
Necrotic Nick- Damn, I should have said that except it'd be Sounds of the Animal Kingdom for me. I was not ready for how insanely heavy that album was when I was a teen. This pretty much had the same effect... might have been more ready this time. lol
@@thrallsofmetal pretty much the same when i first heard need to control at that time was just blown away by that type of grindcore i was usually just listening too Napalm Death
"You're full of hell!" I may check this out: ive just always had a hard time taking this band seriously because of the name. It just sounds like the name some kids would give their garage band that were trying too hard to be edgy. 😆
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, I always thought the name was a bit cheesy but holy shit these guys are on another level of heaviness. It's pretty much the musical equivalent of setting off a claymore in your lap. lol
Doesn't really do much for me tbh, it's too unpenetrable for my taste!, I like my brutality with a degree of groove and hookiness and from what I've heard, this has none, but interesting review all the same... By the way, I managed to grab a copy of Ripping Corpse Dreaming With the Dead off Amazon for £12.00, so we'll chuffed
Necrotic Nick- I don't think this was meant for the listener to penetrate. I think this album penetrates the listener. lol I generally prefer my grindcore and deathgrind a bit more riffy and dynamic but I do appreciate bands that just go complete primal sometimes. Nice find and nice price on the Ripping Corpse album, bro!
Some of it was oddly catchy
Necrotic Nick- I have to admit as violent and twisted as this was, there were some definite hooks every now and then.
Lol 😂🤣😂 "mastodon had a rough day" they deserve every minute of that rough day 🤢
Necrotic Nick- Eh, I still like them but yeah this would be like playing Remission at 8x speed while someone pours change into garbage disposal and turns it on.
If this album tickles your fancy I'd recommend "Darwin falls" by fawn limbs. Absolutely mad album, sits somewhere between full of hell, a cormac Mccarthy audio book if he'd swapped his morning cornflakes for pcp and the turok 2 soundtrack. It's...Still like "grindcore adjacent" but there's so much other stuff going on and I've genuinely never heard anything like it.
Necrotic Nick- I've heard of Fawn Limbs but I've never jammed their music before. Generally I like more straight forward grind and deathgrind like Nasum and Misery Index but I do like hearing bands like Full of Hell really push the limits of accessibility every now and then. Based on your awesome description I may have to check this band out. lol
Hey, had a listen today & that McCarthy reference is so true. It's his novel 'blood meridian' in music form.western noir dirty carnage & was a real interesting listen. Also frontierer have a new song 'glacial plasma' just nuts!
The latest Fawn Limbs is great!
