    I'm here because my Zero Red tips stretched out and keeps falling off the IEMs..
    It's disappointing, since I never had this problem with my Shure and Etymotic IEMs.
    I guess this is what we can expect from Chi-Fi...

    Thanks for this video ! I'm currently having issues with my Blessing 2 and 3 eartips, I use spring tips and san cai tips for my Blessing 2 and 3, but after just 2 months, my sancai and spring tips started to get loose, they easily slip out of Blessing 2 and 3's nozzle and get stuck inside my ears lol. Unfortunately the regular Final type E tips does not work with any of the Blessings, it slips out on its own, same with Softears UC tips
    I'm planning to get either Spinfits CP100+ or Spinfits W1, hopefully they can grip the Blessing's chonky and smooth nozzles.

    Hey I really liked this video,
    I was about to buy new tips for my truthear zero after it become loose and kept falling off.
    4:45 does final e tips fit properly for truthear zero, I thought the stem size is wider in truthear zero than normal

    • @catadegen
      @catadegen  5 місяців тому

      It does, although it's tough to get it in, but the stem is long enough to cover the whole tube of zero, leaving some space for buffering as well. After getting it in, it's just there forever and I don't feel like getting anything better for both of the zeros.

    CP100s are still my go to. Maybe the shape of my ear cannel is messed up, but the bendable sound tube really helps with comfort and keeping a seal over a long period of time. Something I struggle with a lot of tips regardless of size. My favorite sounding are the Azla Crystals tho, really great treble extension without noticeable overemphasis.

    Beside memory foam tips (which I personally am not a fan either), are there suggestions for tips you use to curb the treble on an IEM just a bit? I have the Dunu Glaciers and out of the stock tips I prefer the candy tips sized small (for deeper insertion depth for confort and reduced treble peeks, tho I usually use medium sized tips for other iems), and some of the third party tips I tried (Like the Moondrop Springtips and Xelastec) only accentuated the problem.

    • @catadegen
      @catadegen  5 місяців тому +1

      Hmmm, that sound exactly like my problem on SA6 MKII, which was a hell to tip swap. I know exactly what I needed "relative hard sound tube, middle to long sound tube with some buffering inside, wide opening, bullet type, soft surface for max comfort, and a suitable size", and the closest i get, was Tangzu Sancai M size Regular (NOT the wide bore one), still not perfect tho.
      You may try that one out, but since I've never owned a pair of Glaciers, can't say for sure of course.

    I can strongly recommend Eletech Baroque eartips, personally found them to be really good for wide nozzle IEMs like the 7Hz x Crinacle Zero: 2 (easily slid on, unlike the Omni, W1, or Velvet, which required a good couple minutes of struggling to get on, and near 10 minutes to take off).
    Personally, I found the Velvet eartips to feel quite dry, like they were stealing moisture from my skin while wearing them. They did round off the treble region so that it sounds softer, so got no real complaints there (as I know from experience that dry eartips do get better over time as you use them).
    Though, ranking-wise for the Zero 2, imo: the stock eartips and the DUNU Velvet come dead last (stock are alright sounding, nothing great - the Velvet was not enjoyable, but I could see what it was going for and that it did it pretty well), then the W1 and Omni sharing 2nd place, and the Baroque Eletech coming in first, in terms of overall experience and sound.

    • @ArtificialDjDAGX

      @@BrandonAdams1010 Getting those eartips was mostly to see if I'd notice eartips having an effect on sound, and with that, which one I'd prefer more. Since eartips can be used for multiple IEMs, it is also a minor long term investment, as it also means I have eartips I know will sound great ready to go if I don't like the stock ones that'll come with any future purchase.

    Its a very good guide, but i still gotta ask because my moondrop spring tips which came with my Katos died. So ... i tried some random eartip (my friend has a cheap Fiio Jade audio) and well the comfort man. The spring tips are just so much more comfortable... but now i think the spring tips (L) , Xl is not available, are a little small for my left ear specifically. So.... should i just take a leap pf faith and get the Finals E? I just want to know in case of comfort how do they compare to spring tips ? Thanks in advance. Also good luck for Clorinde.

    • @catadegen
      @catadegen  3 місяці тому

      I think comfort wise will be worse than spring tips (on kato specifically), because texture wise it’s on the regular rigid side and shape wise it is a normal ball shape with small opening, unlike spring tip which is on the softer end with large opening. I was using acoustune aex70 on kato because it’s on the softer end as well. You may try type e, but don’t expect it will be more comfortable than any regular eartips (unless you have a perfect shape fitting on that specific pair of item), otherwise I will go for thing with roughly the same texture, aka spring tips, aex70,or Fiio hs18(never tried it , but texture wise it looks like aex70, and people keep pumping this keyword to my face).

      Np, iirc I was just using the default white/half transparent eartips M size that came with it.

    What would be a good eartips for sets like the Yanyin Canon 2? It's a warm U-shaped tuning with smooth treble.
    I tried the Final E tips but it feels like the bass just got a tad bit too strong for me for an iem that is already bassy enough. I don't mind eartips that can make the treble more airy at the cost of less bass.

      Hmmmmm, in that case, I'd try things with wider opening and shorter sound tube, you may check out things like Final E Tips (TWS version), or spring tips etc.
      Just a recommendation without even owning the pair of earphones that you mentioned tho o/

      @@lokrj Yap, i checked it out on the website, i just put a disclaimer because I've never owned a pair to have proper experience to comment too much.
      What I saw from the website is that it has a relative short sound tube, and the default eartips /Type E (Regular) both have narrow opening, that's why I'd recommend trying eartips with wider opening and shorter sound tube.
