  • Here's my video on how to add SeaFoam treatment to your Volvo 240 or any other car at that. The additive will help you regain any lost horsepower by burning off any carbon build up on those sticky valves and fuel/oil deposits.
    I'm not held responsible for your idiot self if anything happens to your automobile!

    can you please make a video on how you tighten the alternator belts? i have no idea how to do them

    • @bootkillerrr891
      @bootkillerrr891 3 роки тому +1

      You have to release the tension bolt if you somehow haven’t already, the alternator should become loose. Now you push it as hard as you can and resecure the bolt. Belts should be tight

    I know this is an old video, but - if you're still out there Matt - what does Seafoam do in the vacuum system? I use it religiously in my 2-stroke motors, and understand putting it in the fuel and oil, but why the vacuum?

  • @tonyionno
    @tonyionno 3 роки тому

    Everybody should do this, but just an FYI.... it's easier to just buy the aerosol seafoam for the air intake.

    How did you turn the RPMS up to 2-3k while sucking up thru the vacuum hose?

    • @crsxbike2164
      @crsxbike2164 5 років тому +1

      David Shumaker you could try to manually open the throttle body a little if it’s sputtering, other than that I’m not sure

      @GeodesicGarden 3 роки тому +1

      Replying to a 3-year-old comment for the benefit of anyone else reading this in the future: The throttle cable adjusts a pulley right next to the intake manifold - you can move the pulley manually and pin it in place with a screwdriver.

    I have a 1986 volvo 240 myself, and it has a few quirks that I'd like to run by you to see if you have them too.
    1. The battery pan is sized for a group size 24 battery, with a right hand positive terminal. I did some research and apparently that's normal for the 1985 model year, not the 86,but I'm not sure.
    2. The ignition computer has the text in white ink "85 W186" written at the bottom, on the side facing into the engine bay.
    Also, I ordered a set of 8 gen 3 bosch fuel injectors to replace the originals (which were the 1985 pintle style for some reason) because getting 8 is cheaper than getting 4. Would you like to have the 4 I have left over? Their model number is 0 280 155 884.

      1. My battery tray was left side positive terminal.
      2. Mine also had white writing
      3. I’m not sure about injectors, but I no longer have the car, thanks anyways!

    • @mgaquer
      @mgaquer  5 років тому +1

      I saw someone made a custom cold air intake but I don’t see the point. You could always buy the $50 K&N but like I said, I don’t see the point. Perhaps drop an LS in it and turbo it big boi style!
