- Plan a solo show and knit w/me! DIY a Paloma Wool sweater-balaclava set, explore Dongdaemun textile market in Seoul, and make big plans together for my solo exhibition this June.
I'm having my FIRST solo show this June in Busan, South Korea! My exhibition is all about process being more important than product, so I want to document the process of planning everything in Seoul and exploring all the different mediums that I'll include (ceramics, printmaking, knitting, glass....). Knitting especially has been a huge source of relaxation and a refresher in terms of creativity this year. It even inspired me to make a few knitted textile art pieces for the June show.
The Paloma Wool sweater and balaclava combo I've been working on has also been HAUNTING me for the past month. So, I wanted to show you guys how I knit this sweater set before we jumped into a new project (Dongdaemun market--which is a huge market in Seoul w/lots of yarn--and knitting my first textile art piece for the show). I also included all of the resources I used below--video tutorials, pattern links, etc if you want to DIY your own Paloma Wool balaclava/sweater set.

@@KelBelter that sounds amazing, can’t wait! Yes Amsterdam is a gorgeous city, I would love to visit Seoul one day as well 🥰
Wow you process and skill range is cool! If you ever have time, could you show footage of your silkscreen and printmaking projects/process.
Funny you mention this because the next video I'm making is all about my silkscreen process! Now that I've finished the exhibition, I'll be sharing that video soon, finally! :-)

Thank you so much Ghida! That makes me so happy to hear~ I can't wait to make more and share it with you here!
what yarn did you use for the sweater + balaclava? I love the colour!
It's merino by the brand Sublime DK!
How many yarn did you need to make the Balaclava ?
I think I used 70g of yarn, so around 2 balls (but I had some left over!)
@@KelBelter ok thank you 😊
