In this preview guide, we go over the new moves for the Long Sword in Monster Hunter World Iceborne.
The controls mentioned are for PS controllers but they can be easily translated.

Circle = B
X = A
Square = X
L1 = LB
L2 = LT
R1 = RB
R2 = RT

Correction/Clarification: In some of the preview guides, I say when you have attached yourself to a monster with your clutch claw you can press circle to fire off your slinger ammo. This was not fully explained out, the circle turns the monster and R2 fires off the slinger ammo. Sorry for the mess up.

For longsword main, adding more ways for combos is good but there is one thing I want to question, how the hell the sheath on the back of hunter suddenly appear on left hand during Iai & how it suddenly back to hunter's back when attack.

Came here to confirm if there was super armor...
Came out learning that the Iai spirit slash, when used as a counter, doesn't consume the gauge

the IAI counter should have an while still doing damage.
why would you put yourself in harm's way just to counter?
that attack is pretty much useless if you are using a low health build to boost your stats man...
