- Pope Francis has held the Papacy for over a decade now.
But now, fast approaching his 90s and amid what seems to be a rapid health decline, the aging Pope may eventually take a page out of his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI's book or follow the example of fellow Catholic, US President Joe Biden, and voluntarily step aside as soon as this year!
The only question is who comes next?
In this video, we will analyze all potential candidates and the vast ramifications that these candidates may have not only on the Vatican but also on geopolitics as a whole!

And Pope Francis is not as "liberal" as you think he is.
No, he isn't, but for some quarters of the Church, especially on the US, but more spread out globally than most might to think about, he is really a liberal. My best description of what Pope Francis is would be an "open conservative in Hearth" whom is I can sumarize as someone smart enough to understand the others opinions even when he doesn't agree with them, and flexible enough to not impose his own opinions on everyone else. He makes his proposals and let the world to chose and he's not obsessed on what the world chooses or not. Problem is: As far as the years are passing Pope Francis has been redesigning the next Conclave with his own like minded Cardinals and with Cardinals that, despite their theological stances are coming from very uncommon places to begin with as usual candidates to a "red hat". Needless to say what human nature is normally about: Those quarters of the Church whom were used to full power and whom are now sharing it with other quarters are enraged with Francis just for that and so they're doing this sad show about him. And even hatred among ourselves and be divided, instead let us pray to God and ask for Mama Mary's prayer that the Holy Spirit will be with them (cardinals) during the conclave which is not yet happening actually. As a young catholic I will say most young Catholics are theologically conservative. So any talk of a younger pope who is more theologically liberal would be for the boomers and their false idea of young Catholics.

Tha last thing you said is true. Sometimes, a “papabile” candidate is chosen, as it was with Benedict XVI, and sometimes a completely unkonw one is, like John Paul II. There is some misinformation here, and calling Pope Francis liberal is starting to get old.
Anybody who actually knows anything about theology will agree he isn't as liberal as media says.
He is actually in a sense very conservative, he is doing what Benedict XVI said, going back to what Vatican II actually wanted to implement.
You also missed Cardinal Arborelius who has recently gained a lot of attention from media as a potential next pope.
i think he’s framing him as a liberal within the vatican, not a liberal within the general christian or even catholic world.
he’s a liberal in the sense that he shows compassion towards LGBT people, something the church has traditionally not done. it’s a low bar though.

Francis is in a sense conservative, since he tries to go back to the original things that Vatican II established (which in turn made the liturgy more similar to the original liturgies and how the Church worked long ago). Incorporating/Engaging laity (or specifically women) is what the Council stated should be done, but it was done way too slow or not at all. Francis isn't more liberal than the last 2-3 Popes(which 1-2 of those are concidered quite conservative).

Just a slight correction: cardinals are actually not only one step bellow the pope in Catholic hierarchy. While in the Roman Catholic Church there is no position between them and the pope in the Eastern Catholic Churches the Patriarchs are the highest ranked followed by major archbishops. Cardinals are ranked bellow these.

`Liberal`. Let me just say that there is not one cardinal that would even remotely support a fraction of the stuff that modern western liberals campaign for. Also I feel like there is a overly emphasised animosity between the different renditions within the curia, but there are no cardinals or bishops, priest or faithful within the Catholic church that would question or discredit the holy father of the church, because that would relinquish their Catholicism. It is a unified body and it is out of context and haphazard to put it into modern political terms, these being almost inapplicable to the papacy.
If we are a true christian we should not put the decision into ourselves. We must put the decision in the will of the Lord so that he will give the true one. God wills it! ✝️
