Nice review, I've worn the A168 for a few years and it really is a classic time piece. It just works so well, as you pointed out, for men and women. Even though it didn't come out in the 80's it really invokes that time period. It's truly everything you could want out of watch. I know some people don't like the text all over the front of the watch but to me it really adds to the charm. People in general, if they're wearing a watch at all, usually are wearing a smartwatch or a G shock. In my humble opinion, these little Casio's are a bit classier than a bulky G shock and I just can't appreciate the blank screens of smartwatches. Celebrities are thankfully giving these charming little watches the credit they deserve, as are you. I really enjoyed your video it was quite charming. Now I'm going to watch the movie. 👍

As a G-Shock lover myself, they're most definitely more obnoxious than these Casios. As someone who works in tech I often get asked for my opinion on smartwatches when people realize I collect watches, my answer is always the uniqueness of a traditional watch. In my opinion, a smartwatch is more of a "gadget" or tool than a reflection of the wearer, just because they're all kind of uniform even if you get various accessories for them. Hope you enjoyed the movie!!

I've had a watch fetish ever since I was a little boy but I just couldn't find an interest in smartwatches, and it wasn't for a lack of trying. You said it best in that they are really more of a gadget rather than an interesting time piece.
I ordered this watch 2 days ago. I love your take on this. Excellent review. Yeah, it’s not mechanical, not sapphire, and …yes! You can flex this watch! I like that you got started into the watch rabbit hole with Casios. They’re affordable, comfortable, indestructible, and an incredible bang for the buck. And yes, I have Rolex, Tudor, Hamilton, Christopher Ward, Seiko, Orient, and Casio. My G-Shock square 5610 is my go to watch most of the time.

Totally awesome watch. When I was a kid I had an earlier version waay back in the 80s. I just picked up this bad boy. It is the only digital watch in my collection and it's totally awesome.

And the fact that amongst other functionalities, they had a light whereby you could see them in the dark....was like wow!!!! And if you seen some other kid in class with one, you felt so jealous. Hello there. Thanks for this. I am looking forward to buying one of these myself or maybe the A700. My question is, did you test it's water resistance? I know they state its only splash , but I already had Casio watches which performed better when it comes to hukidity than what they initially claimed. Cheers!

I loved this movie back in 2017 and I've also seen 1984. When it comes to movies, Im also physical media snob. Both of these movies look and sound amazing on 4k bluray disc!👍🏾

I'm not running with the Rolex crowd, but I have a a very nice Tissot, a collectable vintage Hamilton,. That having been said, it's crazy how often I reach for my A168. It's just an amazing watch that triggers a bunch of really fond 1980's memories. Good enough for Wonder Woman's boyfriend = good enough for me. (For the record, I had mine LONG before WW84)

I bought the A168WA-1YES because I can't find the A168WA-1 anywhere in Portugal. But I didn't loose hope. Next time I will buy it and offer it to my wife. Since I see Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) with it in WW84 I always wanted the watch. Thanks for the review. It's no the best watch but it's lighweight and quite well made.

Love the band on your seiko monster! I have the same strap on my long islander turtle! I just bought the A-168w-a1 after watching Chris pine wear it in Wonder Woman 1984! Hope I got that number of the watch right lol! If not you know what I mean, I had to add this before I got 30 people correcting me lmbo!!

This casio a168 i've never wrong with it after i bought it. It's very accurate it has no loss a single second and no gain a single second a month. It also have good backlight and stainless steel strap. The f91w has loss 6 seconds a month and the bracelet after 10months is broken. But i like the slimmest of f91w and the water resistant has a very excellent performance i can wear it in the bathroom while i'm taking a bath.

I get comments on my Casios all the time. Never on my high end Swiss watches😮
Feel free to swim with this watch. I recently saw one tested and it not only held up to 30m... It went way past it. So showering and swimming with one on is not a problem.

The 158 is a wonderful alternative. In fact, it's on my to-be-acquired list, but I have to pace myself because darn these addicting inexpensive Casios!

I just got a Casio DBC32 (calculator + data bank). I used to have one when I was a child in the mid 1980s, and in class it kept beeping when I'd press a button, so I could not cheat on math tests. 🤣😋 I did not know how to use it enough to shut the sound off, if it was even possible? I don't know. Marty had a calculator watch on in Back To The Future movie. Check it 9it! ☺️ Anyway, I have the DBC32 today, and now I want a more simple Casio, but I want one that is *made in Japan,* so I'm looking at the *A159WA* model. It has a tiny "JAPAN U" at the bottom of the face, and also "JAPAN DH" stamped on the back, if anyone was interested.
There is another one that has two tiny (real natural) diamonds on the face. I believe it is the A159WAD model. I might try that one out in the future. I believe that one has JAPAN DH stamped on the back as well.
I've got the databank and A159 on my wishlist as we speak :)
