Boston was my 1st concert at WSU in 1978. They had just finished overseas tour and were so happy being home that they put on one of the greatest concerts Ive ever seen. Ive seen many bands living in Seattle. In high school Boston WAS the band to get people ready to party!!!!

THIIS IS THE ALBUM FOR ALL HUMAN EARS..IT HAS EVVERYTHING!!! RIP..Brad Delp...we'll never forget about you...."lol..the intro could've been a song by itself"....✌👍
I spent hours looking at Album art, and this is one of my favorites. Our planet is in the background, splitting open and spitting fire, the Starships that are acoustic guitars, with glass domes on the backs, each with a different city inside, the flames emitting out of the guitar bodies...and Starship Boston is leading the pack, to a new solar system.
I loved ya'lls reaction. I saw this band in , of all places, Amarillo, TX. They had a silkscreen of a giant pipe organ that would light up when their organ played. They sounded as good live, as they do on their recordings. It was a great time to be a teenager.
Another FYI. Tom Scholz invented that spacey sound effect, spaceship taking off sound and invented a lot of what guitarist use to this day. I was and still is a master craftsman!!!
I absolutely love the the way that Ty is just freaking out over this song. I was 16 when it came out and I bought the album for home and the cassette for the car about 2 or 3 days after it came out. I wore the cassette out about 2 times.
To me this is an encore song: the concert is over, the band leaves the stage, lights go out; a few seconds later lights go on again and Longplay begins to sound... And the crowd goes nuts!
You guys take me ALL the way back, over 40 years, to when I was 19, in an off-campus apartment at Florida A&M University. I gathered my friends (mostly dudes) and I put this record on the record player, and said, "Listen to THIS!!!". We sat, awed, by the awesomeness... Oh, good times!!!!!!!!🤗
Just as a testament to Boston’s iconic talent. Every song on their first two albums, have been played on the radio. I haven’t heard of any other band that’s put out even ONE album that’s gotten more than two or three songs worth of airplay.
Brad has the top tier voice in Rock N Roll! My parents wore out this album in our living room growing up! Ty showed more excitement - but fun to watch all your reactions to it! Just like many others until I saw this in June - I found out they were guitars on the cover. I just knew them as spaceships. Best line is in the 2nd verse "But in my mind , deep in my mind I can't forget about you".... (paused 😉). Guitars are top tier as well!
As a teenager in the '70s, I would give weaponry demonstrations with this music, and now when I hear it, I feel my jo and nunchaku are whirling around me. Great music. Tom Sholtz is a genius. And Brad Delp's vocals, wow.
I was 14 when this album came out. Since then this entire album has become a staple in my life, especially as a vocalist. To this day still on all my playlists. BTW, the album cover pic is an upside down acoustic guitar...

I was a Senior in High school when Boston released their first album . I remember pulling into work after school and it was on the Radio. I waited till the song was over, before going inside :)

You guys are so cute. I was laughing at your enthusiasm. Can't sit still with Boston.
Definitely one of the best songs ever!!
The "Hyperspace pedal"!!
On the album cover, the ships are guitars. Each one represents the cities leaving Earth as it explodes.
Brad Delp, the most beautiful voice on the planet!
You can easily be impressed with at least a dozen of Boston’s songs, even their latest stuff.
Haven't listened to this song with headphones on. Omg such an amazing band. Words cant describe how amazing this song is. FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the greatest bands with the greatest freshman Albums in history. So kick ass.
Tom Sholz is a true genius. Building his own equipment so he sounds different than anyone else. Playing every instrument.
Just as a testament to Boston’s iconic talent.
Every song on their first two albums, have been played on the radio.
I haven’t heard of any other band that’s put out even ONE album that’s gotten more than two or three songs worth of airplay.
I am from Massachusetts and 67 years old and this is fire. Love you guys! Keep up those great reactions.
Ty, love your energy on here!
As a teenager in the '70s, I would give weaponry demonstrations with this music, and now when I hear it, I feel my jo and nunchaku are whirling around me. Great music. Tom Sholtz is a genius. And Brad Delp's vocals, wow.
The first album where every song received radio play.
I was 14 when this album came out. Since then this entire album has become a staple in my life, especially as a vocalist. To this day still on all my playlists. BTW, the album cover pic is an upside down acoustic guitar...
Got this album for my birthday way back when. It remains a favorite. Great tune.
This was released when we had badass stereo systems in cars with 442 Police Interceptor engines..............we would all gather and park in the woods with a campfire, crank up Boston, and get ripped..................it was excellent...........
I was a Senior in High school when Boston released their first album . I remember pulling into work after school and it was on the Radio. I waited till the song was over, before going inside :)
This album just TOOK OVER when it came out. It was so different, and yet so pure in its sound. Constant play - the whole album
The drummer for Boston, Sib Hashian (R.I.P) was The Rocks father in law
I remember cranking this song up on my stereo in my bedroom when it first came out. Good times.. Looking back, my Generation X was blessed growing up with the best bands from the 70's and 80's. Soooo many top notch musicians during that time. Wow.
