If you use a gimbal...do you need to shut down any function in the camera menu...as the camera has a built in stabilizer ...at least in my xperia 1 III

Why is the UK version of this phone shipping much earlier on June 11 compared to US (September 1)?
Not just the UK....it's being released in June in Europe. If I had to guess why it's probably because they sell a lot more phones in Europe. Also, there are serious parts and raw materials shortages, so like everyone they can't make the Xperia phones in large numbers. Putting both of these reasons together it makes more sense to launch early in Europe with the available stock, and then ship to the US later. Most brands will prioritize particular markets. And where any company prioritizes is almost always due to where they have the highest sales numbers.

$1600 phone won’t sell in India! And that doesn’t even take in account of local customs duties and taxes
Except Indian people were not buying Xperia phones before. Indian people were more than happy to buy Chinese phones because of the price. That's why Xperia had to pull out of the Indian market. They were losing money. And come on.....Indians are not going to spend the money to buy the Xperia 1 mark IV. It's too expensive for the Indian market
If Apple and Samsung can sell their high end phones in India why can't Sony. I am a Sony fan. But they need proper marketing strategy for market like India
@@ksjithesh good question, and a fair point. Maybe lack of proper marketing is part of the problem as you say.
Still overheats easily when taking 4k videos, even with airplane mode(no 5g), 60hz screen all those enabled. Kind of bordering on scam when you sell such a premium phone($1600🤣😂) with almost crippling heat issue.
Looking forward to 5 Mark IV. Hope it's not another overheating $1000+ phone with professional camera.

You might have missed how everything has gone up in price. Of course it's expensive. It's damn expensive. But the parts and raw materials shortages plus inflation are driving the prices up of everything. And last time I checked Apple and Samsung are not giving their top tier flagships away for half price or for free.

The Sony is still gonna be bog standard product when compared to Apple and Samsung because for 3 years they still cannot figure out how to make an auto/night mode work, and both company’s flagship product starts from $999, with the mainline series like the standard S series or the non Pro iPhones going from $699.
Even the next iPhone is still expected to cost from $999 for the Pro models
