I am so glad that Lets resin is sending you items so you can help us all decide what we should get. I like most of their items that we have gotten, but a few were not the best pick that we could have made. With you reviewing their stuff, we can see it actually being used and the results in a real world test. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to see more. 😊
Thanks, I have a lot more product reviews in the pipeline, not yet found anything from my 2 supporter suppliers that I don't like to be honest, though I would feedback appropriately if I did
Hmm I've not come across that. I use 2 brands and neither I warm. I'm a bit lazy so the simpler the better for me :) These 2 brands get hot fast so I would worry about flash curing to be honest. I put the heat mat on under them once and wished I hadn't lol
Hiya im new on here but been watching you for a while . The reason you got so many bubbles is because you kept taking the stirring thingy out of the resin , if you keep it in the resin and dont turn it on until in the resin . Hope this helps xx
Thanks for subbing! Yes, a load of people said that already in the comments - the next stir I did it properly - still bubbles, but not a problem, this is a great resin that degasses quickly anyway :)
I’m with you on preference for last years heat wave. It was good to have a proper summer. Lucked out this year though. Thank you for the review, the leaf is lovely.
Tracey you are awesome. People that tell you to measure just need to......nevermind I will be nice. People listen to her about the PPE, if you can smell it still you are't wearing it right. It will make you sick eventually, not fun. The leaf is so cute!
Yes, we can test them and show you so you can decide if you want some ornot. Also without their support most of us couldn't afford to keep making videos.
How does it hold up with casting? Like a mold of a figurine? My 4 hour resin states 4 hours to demold, but a full 24 hours to complete cure. Let's Resin ( it is my guess ) works with other resin and silicone companies to source their products as I see duplicates of them on Amazon.
Let's Resin have their own Amazon store :) Yes this stuff is great for casting. Take a look at the rest of my resin alternatives playlist, youll see a lovely cat figurine and some storage jars etc. abut half hour to demould, than 24 hours to really hard
@miniscenesgb yes, they have their own store, but dont produce their own products. Then they can charge a bit more by branding other manufactured products as their own, imo whilst the other product is less expensive. The leaf you made needs 8-10 hours to fully cure according to the bottle. I would not place a hot cup on it until that time. I have a successful resin shop and am just trying out the 4 hour resins. Thanks for the demo. Also, whilst casting did you pour in layers or all at once? Warping can occur if too much resin is poured at once depending on the depth. Also, bubbles can be trapped by inclusions that you would not be able to see. Thanks again ;)
@@laurieb9053 yes I'm a Let's Resin affiliate so I know that. Resinwise I just use Apex resin only nowadays. They have a 2 hour demould resin that's great for shallow pours and high heat resistance, fine for a hot cup of tea too and their High Gloss I can go fairly deep with in one pour. Otherwise I use Apex Deep Cast. I like resins that are rather forgiving. I have never had warping issues, what does that look like? I don't usually suffer from bubbles either. If I'm doing a deep pour where zero bubbles is vital, like a sphere or a pyramid, I run it through my Airless. But it's very rarely an issue with my pouring technique and the type of resin I use. That leaf was rock hard within 4 hours
@@laurieb9053 Never had warping. I only use Apex Resin nowadays. for a shallow project like coasters or this leaf I would use Apex One Coat usually - 2 hour demould, rock hard in 4 hoours and very high heat resistance, great for coasters. I've never seen warping so I can't comment on that. I don't have bubble issues with the resins I use, though if I need to be 100% sure, like for a big sphere or pyramid I sometimes run it through an Airless to be on the safe side. I rarely pour in layers as using the correct resin for the depth, and a resin that is forgiving on that aspect, it's rarely necessary I find. unless i'm intentionally doing layers because there's different things in each layer - like my ponds
@@miniscenesgbOh, you are a LR affiliate? Thanks for the tips the other resin you use. I do quite a bit of deep casting in opaque molds and if you pour 1:1 resin in too deep it warps and can even start smoking- dangerously hot with dangerous fumes. I think LR has a video on that, not sure? Nothing against them. I used their products for a long time, but now that I do more deep casting I changed brands. Warping looks like waves in the resin and the temperatures can get so high it can take the gloss right off your mold! It can happen for many reasons one of them being having too much resin in your mold which increases the cure but can cause these problems. So, to prevent that you cast in layer upon cured layer. If the 4 hour works well and I dont have to pour so many layers, my customers wont have to wait to get their perfect memorials :).
Hi do you need to heat the part a resin before you mix, thank you for your videos they really help people like me, also when mixing does it really need to go clear or is it OK to use it when cloudy
I hadn't use pre heat my resin but I have been doing so lately. It does seem to make it easier to use. And yes, the resin must be clear. If it's still cloudy it's not mixed well and may not cure properly

With other 4 hour resins, they recommend warming it first. It's good this one doesn't have to be warmed.

Hi Tracey great video, our summer has been non existing this year 😔, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
we had a couple of weeks, that was about it - enough to make all my stuff cure crazy fast :)
the beads look cute in there! as you mixed it up, and i saw all the bubbles, I didn't think there was any way it could cure clear. ok, i'm impressed.
yep it clears so well, I love it :)
Thank you for saying what you did about “how easy it is”, because you are absolutely right, for some of us. It’s not. ❤
You are so welcome!
Beautiful
Thank you

It's so good! I'm enjoying the 2 brands of fast cure that I've been testing lately
Thanks for the test demo! It must de-gas well. lovely.
It does!
Very beautiful Tracey ❤ Can you get links and discounts for Canada?
I'll try, it'll depend if Amazon Canada accept me :)

So true and thanks Deana
I think it is great when companies send people products to try.

Would this fast curing resin work as well for putting thin layers on wood? The layers would be about 1/16". Thanks!
Yes, it should, tough I would usually use Apex One Coat for that as it's a bit thicker and cures faster
@@miniscenesgb Thank you!
@@miniscenesgb Is this only sold in the UK? I'm having trouble finding it here in the US. :-/
