Dot 5 is a silcoln based brake fluid, it has a higher boiling temp than dot 3 and 4, it doesn't attract water AND it isn't corrosive to hard paint or plastic like the earlier mentioned brake fluid.
Dot5 isn’t compatible with any of the other fluids. You’d have to flush and completely clean the system. Dot5.1 is compatible I believe. You’d have to do the research To verify. Dot5 isn’t good for ABS either.
@@TeensierPython only way to change to dot 5 after using 3 or 4 is disassemble master cylinders and brake-calipers then replace all of the rubber parts - should probably do the hoses also.
I had purchased the exact set up bro for my 2013 SG. I totally didn’t think about pitch on the bleeder bolt. Can you share or send a like brother. GREAT VIDEO. God bless
I had seen another guy use the Yamaha yzf r6r front brake calipers on his late model streetglid. But he replaced the brake lines since the banjo bolts fasten on the side. Is this a good comparison to ur bike mod?
Did you need to shim the fork leg to radial adapter at all? Mine isnt lining up without shims and there was no instructions so im not sure if it's normal

Use modern radial calipers on your 2000-2017 Harley-Davidson. Better lever response, more accurate breaking, and no need to replace master cylinder. Tokico calipers from 04-09 Suzuki GSX-R600/750 models will work the easiest with these brackets. Fits all Harley models 2000-2017 with dual-disks. Will work with 11.5" and 11.8" rotors (shims included). Available with a black or polished finish. Note: Will Not Work On Narrow Glide Front Forks With Spoke Wheels
great vid. Except the fake rap track background cymbol riff is AWFUL....it's twice a loud as the talking and just the right frequency to drive me nuts and I had to keep turning my tablet up and down 5 clicks as the vid went along. Anyhow back to reality I cant wait to hear how the caliper performs! i'm looking to upgrade the terrible brakes on my Evo Dyna but parts are scarce.
I’ll be replacing mine next week and does look very simple and save money. Thanks
I haven't seen a review yet on how the conversion works compared to stock??
beautiful piece, the detail that makes the difference
Thanks man
Glad your posting again
Thanks buddy

What size rotors do you have on there ? Will that set up work with the 11.8 ? Also where did ya pick up the bleeder bolts?
Will this setup work with abs ?
Not sure man
hi are the long black bolts the same length as the 4 stock radial caliper bolts you have the table
I believe they are different sizes......its been awhile but the brackets do come with new hardware
Did you need to shim the fork leg to radial adapter at all? Mine isnt lining up without shims and there was no instructions so im not sure if it's normal
Yea no shims on the fork leg but the caliper has to be shimmed.....you best bet is to mock everything up and make sure the pads run even
Hey how dpes it works? Better a lot? I want to do the same
Huge improvement
Great video! Any chance of a parts list? This is something I have thought about doing for a long time. Thanks!
These brackets
thespeedmerchant.net/product/13″-radial-brake-caliper-mounting-bracket-black-dual-disc/
then find calipers I used 06-07 Tokikos
Thanks so much!
Is That legs fits on 1992 fxrs
Not sure man
How does it compare to stock?
Better
You got a part number for the brakes?

Sorry dude lol
Looks like the lines are too short. When forks go to max extension your going to have an issue.
Its close will upgrade soon
@@TrippHPjunkie did you ever upgrade brake lines? If so what did you go with?
@@Hightechredneck704 I did not what I have is working just fine 👍
i miss the old days when mechanics weren't SKEERED to get fluids on their hands. don't mask up or glove up
Iam a professional mechanic
that's dumb. do you also miss the old days when half our family died of cancer at 55?
