It’s nice that it came with charger. When the “New” 3DS XL was released it didn’t include a charger. The reason behind that is Nintendo thought the only people who would buy a “New” 3DS XL, were people who had previously owned a 3DS. You can imagine how annoying that was, considering I had never owned a 3DS before lol. Great video game console, though. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was definitely worth the 300 dollars I paid for the console. (At least that’s my opinion.)

Awesome purchase! I bought a new New 3DS XL Galaxy edition from eBay around the same time you did. Just to let you know, all the 3DS systems come with a 4 GB memory card. Anyways, I hope you're enjoying your system as much as I am!
The main difference with new and old 3dsxl is that the 3d can be seen in any angle without the 3d shifting, the little grey C Stick and the ZL ZR buttons.
The "nub" is a c stick for free camera on certain games. Also, every 3ds comes with a 4GB SD card, and on the new 3ds, and new 3ds XL, the sd card s built in. The sd card is needed to download a digital copy of a game and the save data on game cards are stored on the game card.
I have one of those! I got mine for about the same price after tax, as a refurbished model straight from Nintendo (Luckily I got it before they shut down their shop) It came in absolutely pristine condition, and I am very happy with it. It came with the AR cards, but it didn't come with an AC adapter. I already had a 2DS so that didn't bother me too much. I got it in a plain box with a sticker of the system and logo on it. Better than nothing, but a slight bummer, because I like keeping the official boxes. Your guess was right, that nub by the ABXY buttons is a second analog input, they call it the c stick, but I call it a c nub because it is much more like the mouse nub on a ThinkPad. Most games will not use the c nub or the Z buttons, but most "New" exclusive games and older games that were compatible with the Circle Pad Pro accessory will work with those. Some games actually need the "New" systems to run, like Xenoblade Chronicles and SNES virtual console games, but the ratio of non-exclusive games to exclusive games makes me wonder why Nintendo even bothered with the stronger hardware revision to begin with. At least some games like Smash Bros do load a lot faster with the "New" systems. Beware though, with some models (even the older and regular sized models), there is a defect called the pinch of death, where if you put too much pressure on a certain point, it cuts the battery and immediately turns off the system. For mine, that point happens to be right where the start button is. There is supposed to be a fix for that, but it is a pain to research it, because there is not a whole lot of documentation on it. I discovered that while playing Super Mario 64 DS, but after I learned about that, I got used to it. I've actually used that pinch a few times. Fun fact, the "New" systems actually have wireless file transfer! It is seen by the pc as a file server. The only drawback is with newer Windows systems, you have to enable the SMB1 protocol, as it is usually disabled by default. If you've got any questions about it, I would love to answer them! I adore this system.

I just bought a new nintendo 3ds mario edition for $109 from a local retro gaming store. It was in excellent condition. I was going to get one from gamestop but they were sold out of all models. Im glad I got my hands on a special edition though. I did buy a auqa blue 3ds from gamestop for my niece back in 2018. She hasn't had any problems with hers so far.
Hi there. The easiest way to check the Micro SD Card is to go to System (wrench icon) settings: tap 3DS then tap "software" and it will show you how much room you have on the micro SD card. Otherwise, you have to take off the back of the "New" 3DS XL to get at the micro SD card. Hopefully they gave you a big card. The maximum card any 3DS can handle is a legacy 32 GB SD Card.
Started using my launch model again because I can fit it in my pocket for in between classes, just modded it so I can back up all my games and I’ve been having a blast !
While it appears very well applied so that it's seamless (like it's supposed to be, but often doesn't go on like that) it appears to have a screen protector, on both top and bottom screens. No doubt why it's in good condition still. I have sold Gamestop a few handheld systems that I got new and put a screen protector on and they say they leave them on if they were applied well.
I ordered 2 refurbished systems from them and both came like I bought them from the trash can. I was able to return it but lost my "handling" fee. I'm glad yours look this good, I was hoping for the same :(
I have a 2ds xl and I find me accidentally muting the volume while playing it’s super annoying so I definitely think having it in on the screen works better

Yeah but the thing is that nowadays the "refurbished" new 3ds XL consoles are quite badly done. I got one and it had a lot of stuff in the card slot and it came with a knockoff battery. But then I got a "controlled" console from a german second hand electronics store in a "good" condition and it had a iFixit battery which is quite good brand, it was cleaned and I got 3 years of warranty. Same went for my Vita which was in a "very good" condition, I paid 300$ less than on GarbageStop and after the 3 years of warranty it still works and I use it while traveling to this day. However, the vita came with a Anker USB to Vita connector which is nice but there was not charger included. I managed to modify it as easy as the New 3DS XL. It's still in a good condition and I would be able to get the 3DS for more than 600$ since it's that official Zelda edition.
I think the screens are replaced, ordered a refurbished Sun & Moon 3DS XL and it still had plastic attached with minimal scratches on the body. Pretty stocked.
When the 3DS first come out, I had the wine red DSi XL (still do) and my parents said that the 3D makes people with epilepsy have seizures so I couldn't have one, but I now have the blue one and I'm alright.. was that just a rumour flying around or was it true?
