- Baratza Encore ESP Grinder: one year later - What we’ve learned and how to keep it running like new.
We wanted to share the challenges we've come across and what we've learned when it comes to care and maintenance. We hope that others can benefit from this. If you don't already know that is when it comes to parts and cleaning steps. We still love our grinder and use it daily and want to keep it going for as long as possible.

I bought both the ROBOT and the ESP based on your recommendation and can not be happier.
and thank you for this reminder and detailed cleaning process.
Brilliant. Thanks a lot for such a detailed guidance. I recently bought an ESP and haven’t started using it yet, so this is really helpful.
Well done and so thorough. Thank you.
Time for a cup of coffee, thanks for sharing Rob and Nadia. XD
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for this deep insight in the encore esp, I'm only one last step away from getting me one. Seeing the amount of retention and exchange of powder I feel the need of a blower/bellow and luckily I can order a matching part from China. Blowing out the powder should not only give the full freshness, I'd also expect less friction, wear etc.
Yes, A bellows attachment would help with retention. Do you have a link to the part you could post here? Thanks!
youtube read my mine again and suggested this video. The other day I wondered if my ESP requires any regular maintenance since ive ran it without doing anything and its been working well. I will start cleaning it regularly! Thank you for your video!
Glad you enjoyed! Happy grinding.
Just ordered an ESP. Thank you so much for this informative video to help me get the best out of it!
Glad to be of help. Enjoy your ne machine!
@ Do you spritz the beans with water every time?
@@maxmacdonald Actually, yes we do spritz the beans every time. If you don't, the grinds end up flying all over the place due to static... it's a mess.
I've used the Encore (non-ESP version) for years with my aeropress. Recently bought the ESP for espresso. Really appreciate your videos and your tips/thoughts on the ESP. Do you use cleaning tablets, like Grindz, every so often? How often?
Glad you enjoyed our video. I haven't used Grindz, but I looked it up and it seems interesting. I'll give it a try. So far I've found it easy to keep the grinder clean, but Grindz looks cool. Thanks.
As the "Nadia and Rob" UA-cam channel converges to become the coffee grinder version of "Wristwatch Revival" I realize my coffee making game is lagging behind the technology . . .
We live to keep your tech up to date! Thanks for watching Ron.
