Pico is without a doubt the best automotive scope out there! Great video Eric. I like the Math Channel feature, you should show it here!

Hey Eric, killer scope. Will have one within the next six months. like your channel by-the -way been watching you and Paul now about 2 years. Props Dude

Another Great Video! Watching you with the Pico Scope, I'm picking up "how to" information, so I'm saving the videos for later.
    Your a Great Instructor!

Thanks for this Eric. I am running these tests with my Hantek oscilloscope. Similar interface, not sure if Pico is better or worse for these tests. I like the way in which Pico can save to a library of waveforms. Hantek has BNC connections, so you need an adapter for standard banana plugs. Yes they both have a maths functions, and good wave form reference files. My only gripe is that gafuffle you need to take it all out and put it away again. [if you only have a home shop]

The three pin inductive crank sensor has a ground...
Does this ground feed the ecu or it is the opposite??!! 🤔🤔

Are inductive sensors 2 wire and hall effect sensors 3wire?

What's the reason for the peak wave looking opposite to the sample wave, high peak one ,great vids as usual

This is what I dont like about the scope presets, it is possible that the preset is meant to be used for a NO START and the waveform will be properly viewed at the correct scope settings for troubleshooting. Is there a preset that you have found for this type of sensor for a running engine and it has the correct voltage and time settings upfront?? Appreciate the known good waveform.

Hi Duane, thanks for your comment. As it turns out we've updated the preset (GT428) since this video was made, as we were finding that its settings needed tweaking to cope with a wider range of vehicles... We've kept the video though as it is still fundamentally sound and Eric shows how to tweak preset settings to get the waveform he was after. And I've phrased it that way deliberately: not everyone is looking for exactly the same thing in a given component test so making a universal preset is nigh on impossible - we can only get something that will fit the majority of vehicles and cases. For many, though, it is still the best starting point they have, even if it is only spot on 90% of the time. All the best, Barns

Hello from Minnesota, I like that you have a Mustang there. Is that yours? And if it isn't, did you ever have a Mustang or a cougar?

literally posted a comment asking Eric O if he had any other videos using a picoscope yesterday, he didn't awnser.... So I'll just assume he made this happen instead... :P
