Video seems straight forward enough, but would be good to have a suggestion for most of us that don’t have the expensive professional grade code scanner.
Wont disconnecting the battery for some time and draining any storage, then re connecting and restarting the car force the car to re learn stuff? The software is just for faster fixes.?

I just put a used engine in my 06 dodge magnum and I need somewhere to have a Variation Relearn Procedure done to it because it will only idle and does not have a accelerator response?what are some shop names where i can have this done in West Palm Beach Fla?
I just recently changed out the crank shaft position sensor in my 2008 bmw 335i . While driving normal it seems to be ok but as soon as a pit the gas pedal to the floor no matter what speed I’m at it goes inti limp mode and throws several codes . Do I need to get the new crank shaft sensor re learned and will this problem possibly go away ?
You only need a code reader. If you do not get a code and your Jeep is stopping when driving , it is most likely the crankshaft sensor. While installing the OEM sensor, not some cheap junk. Disconnect your ground and hot cables and connect them together . After you have done the sensor connect the battery cables. Now turn on the key and let the fuel pump cycle and then turn on the car and let it idle to get warm to about 75 degrees. If your code tool is still attached delete the codes. Now turn the car back on and it is done. No codes should show and the learn has completed.

I follow step by step but after Control Unit it takes me to a different menu , compare to yours .. any suggestions overall .

I have to believe it's mandatory because I've replaced SIX crank sensors in my car for stalling in the last 13 years (and this always fixed it) and this was the first I'd heard of it. I always just figured therre must be QC issues with the sensors themselves, but this makes much more sense. 5 months ago I replaced both cam and crank sensors, and tonight I'm stalling out again. Any mechanics out there with a verdict?

Someone help me out I've replaced my my flywheel, clutch, pressure plate with light weight aftermarket parts. My ECM, and crankshaft position sensor.(car was in wreck). To my knowledge you have to get your crankshaft position sensor/cam relearned if you do the sensors, my car is throwing dtcP0315. It means no crank sensor learned. I've been told by 2 technician's that my certain car 2013 dodge dart limited 1.4lturbo doesnt need to be re learned and they are trying to say I got a timing issue or maybe mechanical instead and wont listen to me about re learning me sensors on the timing they said you can't relearn the crank/ cam on my car. Any help or advice would be appreciated

I got the same scanner it says no communication right when I click reprogram cam crank not sure why :/ I do have a signal from the sensor itself in live data tho

Its calibrating the sensor.... The relative position of the crankshaft and camshafts is very important. Replacing the sensors would need calibration, but also anything that affects those relative positions, like changing the timing chain or oil control solenoid or cam phaser.

David Actually, I replaced the camshaft sensor in my 200 and didn’t need to relearn anything. So I’m not sure if a scanner is even required.

No your car ecu will learn it quick, this way is more if a instant factory settings fix.
