Perhaps you could make a video on how not burst into laughter when saying specific lines. It can happen when something that’s not supposed to happen happens on stage (actor accidentally saying the wrong lines and other actors having to whisper the lines for them). When you are on stage right next to them it can be really hard not to erupt with laughter or have a big grin on your face. Another way it can happen is having to say a funny or idiotic (your character not being very smart so a mannerism is saying daft things) lines. I have almost laughed on stage during an Aladdin play in my primary school. I was the antagonist and during a scene where I was on stage with many other villagers (other actors) when one of the villagers accidentally dropped the fruit basket props and she hastily picked them up. I was not the only one holding back laughter, Aladdin also was. To save other people from doing this, could you please make a video about it?😁
anjali makwana I’ve released this today - basically the trick is just stay in character, only react as believing you are your character and this won’t happen again - good luck! 👍
A good question. No not directly, but they will play a part. Normally with Stanislavski’s system you start from the inside out (rather than outside in) Like with emotional memory for example. (Although Stan did talk about doing some outside to in work in his later work - so if you pull the right expression / body language it can create the inner feeling). Hope this helps? I have quite a few videos on Stanislavski….
