That looks like a Woodchefe stove, I use to heat my 2400 sq.' house with one of those, it had the blower fan on it. We filled it in the morning and again at night. Best simple stove I ever had

Thanks for the comment! It really heats up my whole house. And that with the damper closed (intake air controller). Once you get the house heated that is. I have 22 trees from the Hurricane that I am cutting up. So I will have wood for few years, it looks like. Keep warm, take care!

Thanks so much for the comment! It is true that some insurance companies will not cover a house fire from it. I listed mine on my house insurance. Great advice for anyone with a wood burner. Make sure your house insurance accepts these stoves. What kind do you have?

I love these old stoves but? My insurance company made me replace it with a newer stove that complies to today's standards! If i actually had a fire and the house burned down, with the old stove they would not pay to replace the house. So please check with your insurance company or take a chance they will not find a way not to pay! up to you? To be honest the new stove is night and day way better burns longer hotter and more environmentally friendly and uses way less wood 🙂

This stove reminds me of an older wood stove I had some years ago. I resembles an "ASHLEY" made in Huntsville Ten. Is this stove one of that brand?
